I had only known for sure that I was pregnant for a couple of days. I had finally resolved myself to tell Jimin. I was a nervous wreck but the following morning, I planned to tell him. I had prepared myself as best I could and ran through a million different scenarios in my head. This was one scenario I hadn't thought of.
I woke up in the middle of the night in terrible pain. I gasped for air. I couldn't catch my breath. Something wasn't right. No, something was really really wrong. I was hit with another stab of pain and this time it was accompanied by nausea. I screamed out in pain and Jimin was jolted out of sleep next to me.
"Dia?" He was startled, wiping the sleep from his eyes and trying to make sense of what was happening.
"Jimin, get Jess!" I cried out, grabbing my stomach. Something was really wrong. This wasn't supposed to happen.
Jimin scrambled off the bed and flung the bedroom door open. Minutes later, Jess ran into the room followed by a confused JHope and a worried Jimin.
"Dia? Sweetheart, what is wrong?" Jess took my hand and looked me over from head to toe, zeroing in on where I was holding my stomach. I looked at her and the fear in her eyes matched my own.
"Jess," I wailed, "something is wrong"
"Okay, sweetie. Just hang in there. You'll be okay." Jess turned around towards the boys, taking charge of the situation. "We need to get her to the hospital quick."
"hospital?" Jimin questioned.
I was hit with another wave of pain and cried out as I held onto my stomach. My baby. I hadn't even told him yet.

"What the hell is going on? Why does she need the hospital?" Jimin questioned with a terrified look on his face. He made his way over to the other side of the bed and crawled up next to me, trying to figure out what to do. He seemed like he was afraid to touch me. Hoseok was already on the phone with Jae-Ho to get the car ready.
Jess had helped me put some sweatpants on and she and Jimin lifted me up off the bed. The moment my feet hit the floor, I was assaulted with another blinding pain and my legs gave out. Jimin scooped me up into his arms and we started to make our way down the stairs and to the car. Jess was right beside us, holding my hand the entire time with Hoseok following closely behind.
We were out the front door when Jimin spoke up again through clenched teeth, "What does she need a hospital for, Jess?"
"I'm pregnant." I spoke up through gritted teeth, "this isn't how I wanted to tell you."
Jimin stopped suddenly in his tracks, his face became ghostly white as he looked down at me. Hobi and Tae, who had just wandered out because of the commotion, both paused, whipping their heads around to look at Jimin and me in shock.
I looked up at him through tears, not knowing what else to say. I was frustrated at the turn of events. I should have told him sooner. All I knew is that it couldn't have come from someone else. He couldn't hear that from Jess.
"Jimin, we need to go." Jess reminded him quietly.
He sprang into action as Jess opened the car door and Jimin gently set me down in the backseat. He buckled me in and began to walk around to the other side of the car when Jae-Ho stopped him.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But I cannot allow you to accompany her."
"What?"
"I'm sorry, Sir. We can't risk it."
"That's bullshit"
"He's right, Jimin" Tae spoke carefully, "It wouldn't be good for you or Dia. Think of what would happen to her if word got out."
"Fuck!"
I could hear the voices outside of the car and thinking of not having Jimin there with me just added to the devastation. I couldn't even say a word. The pain had grown to be too much. I broke down in sobs as the debate continued. Time was running out and in the end, Jess ended up in the car with me as we raced to the hospital.

Again from Scratch Saga: Izmittor Unchained
If someone precious to you needed your help, would you extend it? Would you still do it if it costs you your peace and perhaps even your life? For Tercius, a man mysteriously reborn nearly thirteen years ago, there was only one answer to both questions. Feeling compelled, he sets out to journey to the northern Sogea and its infamous Western Izmittor mountain range, a natural stronghold of sky tearing mountains and deep canyons. Legends about the place abounded, but he knew without a doubt that the hidden valleys, rushing rivers, thick forests, and desolate landscapes hid powerful predators, the likes of which stalk the harsh terrains for an easy source of meat and bones. The many natural dangers of Western Izmittor would be hard enough to navigate safely for a lone traveler, but to make matters worse Tercius had enemies in the heights of Western Izmittor, humans and spirits who would see him dead if they ever learned of his true connection to the Pyramid of Tergaron and the Society of the Magi. To make things even more difficult, he also had to ensure that the true extent of his own Innate Skills remained hidden, for if the prying eyes of the world fell on him and his many secrets came to light, then he would never again know a day of peace. Can one reborn man manage to keep his secrets and still succeed in doing what his conscience compels him to? Will he have to choose one over the other? And can he do any of it without reigniting the sparks of a planetary war the likes of which had not been seen in millennia? Follow Tercius’ story and find out! *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** This story is a continuation of Again from Scratch, a story of mine also posted on RR. Anathema
The Prince used to dance — until he discovered the strings moving his legs. The Rebel used to hope — until reality slammed a door in her face. The Spy used to live for nothing but money — until he found himself a family. And the Slave craved freedom more than air — until a small hand reached to her for help. Eskela has known conflict for centuries. War had been engrained into the very soil of every one of the eight kingdoms, and blood has been smeared over history to paint a lie. When young prince Aldric, heir to the Aguki throne, learns his position is nothing but a farce, his world crumbles down around him. As he tries desperately to find power in a world determined to rob him of it, his cousin Rhiann plots to find freedom through more extreme and destructive means. Conflict does not reside in Cinthra alone, though. Erden, newly hired spymaster for the crown prince of Promnir, is tasked with keeping an eye on the kingdom’s council. The job that was supposed to just be about money quickly spirals into a fierce loyalty, one that leads him to the front lines in order to desperately prevent another war from beginning. Azala, a slave bought by the royal family of Azmosir, finds her loyalty is not nearly as solidified as that of Erden’s. But while the prince she serves plots to steal that which does not belong to him and the queen she respects holds on to a lingering desire for revenge, Azala realizes that she must choose whom to save: herself or Azmosir's defenseless and young princess.
