FLUKE
What happened the night before was still a shock for me. Everything Ohm said kept replaying in my head. It put me awake for hours until my body just gave up and lulled me to sleep. I didn't even know what time when everything went black and let my mind free from thinking and body take a rest.
Who would be able to sleep right away anyways? What he said, I meant his confession, was too much for me to handle. I had never had anything like this in years after my last relationship. Few, maybe, tried to give hints about how they felt towards me, but they didn't really say it to me directly, and I never really paid attention to any of them, so they just stopped. Ohm was the first person to really confess his feelings.
For years, I've tried to ignore other people's advances and focus on protecting myself from getting hurt. However, Ohm didn't do anything like flirting or giving hints about his feeling, he went right through those things and bluntly confess that he loved me. How would you really react on that?
It was still dark outside, but I was already wide awake, thinking again. I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep anymore, so I just decided to freshen up and head to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Aside from writing, cooking had always been my outlet whenever I wanted to forget, stressed, or think about something.
I looked for some ingredients in the refrigerator and started cutting some vegetables when I heard the door opened. I thought Liza was already awake, "Lizzie, would you help me with. . ." I was not able to finish what I was going to say when I looked up and saw the man that has been bugging my mind since last night was standing right at the door of the kitchen. "Ohm."

"Good morning, Fluke!" He greeted with a wide smile. He looked like he had already taken a shower, for his hair was still a bit wet. He had different clothes as well.
"It's still early, why are you awake?"
"I usually wake up at this time. I wanted to drink some water when I saw that the lights were open. I thought P' Liza was the one here." He explained. "I've already went out to get some clothes from my car."
"Uh. . . okay." I couldn't say anything more. Why did it have to be like this? I wanted to free my mind from thinking by busying myself in cooking, but this man really didn't want me to. He just suddenly popped up right in front of me.
"You're cooking this early." He stated and I just nodded, He walked near me and looked at my face. "Were you able to sleep?"
I shook my head, "I don't know. An hour or two, I guess." Then I moved my attention back to the vegetables.
"Were you thinking about what I said?" I hummed softly in reply. "I'm sorry." and he just continued staring at me.
I've had enough, feeling him staring at me made me feel uncomfortable especially now that I knew what he felt towards me. I let out a sigh, put down the knife, and looked straight into his eyes.
"Please don't make me feel more uncomfortable. Do you you know why I'm here in the kitchen? This is my way to relax, I haven't had enough sleep because everything you said was repeating in my head. That is just too much for me, Ohm. All I want to do right now is to cook to free my mind from thinking." I explained, and he was a bit surprised that I suddenly talked a lot because since yesterday, I was not able to talk like this. I even stuttered when I talked to him when we were in my room. I let out another sigh and continued. "I know you don't cook, but if you know how to use the knife, please do. Focus yourself on cutting some vegetables and just help me cook, please. I could feel your stares since yesterday."

"I'm really sorry, Fluke. Sorry for making you uncomfortable." He apologized. "But promise we will still have that talk you agreed with last night."
"Yes, Ohm. We will." I just said. "Later, Ohm. I just want to relax this time. Hmmm?"
"Yes. . . So how should I cut this?" He asked with a smile as he lift up a carrot from the counter. I smiled back and told him what to do.
Moments later, only the movements of the two of us could be heard in the kitchen. I was relieved that Ohm focused more on the task I asked him to do. Since he was too focus not to cut his fingers while doing his task, he didn't have any chance to stare at me like what he did yesterday. He still stole some glances, but that was okay for me. Comfortable silence enveloped both of us, and I finally relaxed as I continued cooking. I asked Ohm to just stay in the dining as I went to wake New and Liza up. I also wanted to take a quick shower in my room as well and I didn't want him following me around. They were already sitting at the dining table talking when I got back.
"Why haven't you started yet?"
"We were waiting for you. Don't worry we're not hungry yet." Liza said, "Sit down now, sweetheart."
"Fluke, Ohm was telling us that he helped you cooked?" New said with disbelief.
"Well. . . For a person who doesn't know how to cook, he could actually make use of his hands. He knows how to use a knife, though, so I asked him to just cut the vegetables." I told them with a little smile.
Ohm looked at me with a proud smile as if cutting vegetables was a very complicated job to do. He looked adorable with the cute dimple he had. I couldn't help but smile.
I saw my two best friends exchanged looks, and gave me questioning looks. I knew they were already thinking a lot of things, so I just gave them a little nod just a sign they knew, telling them not to ask anymore because they would still get the details later from me anyways.
The conversation flow was like the usual, Liza still asked to get bits of information about Ohm, but more on just getting to know each other, more relaxed and comfortable.
After breakfast, I told my friends that I would head back home, for I wanted to finish some tasks. Ohm insisted on sending me home. Of course, my best friends gladly handed me to the man as if they were really waiting for him to take me away from them. By then, I already thought of disowning them. Those were the times I questioned myself why I had friends like them.

The Infinity Islands
I was just supposed to be a normal guy! I was about to graduate from my normal university with my normal English degree, about to begin my first foray out into the real world. But somehow, I had ended up worlds away instead. Far, far away from home, in a world that should have been just like mine, running and fighting for my life in a war I didn't understand. None of us knew why or how we were there or what we were ultimately supposed to accomplish. But that didn't really matter, did it? In my new world, there was only one rule: survive! --- Hey all, I'm Ken, and this is my first time sharing a story online. This story is heavily inspired by Terror Infinity, if it wasn't obvious from the title. I've been interested in making a Terror Infinity story for a while now, but I have a lot of problems with its system and mechanics, so I decided to just make my own system instead of trying to adapt to that one. If you find any mistakes, typos, or awkward phrasing please let me know in the comments so I can fix it! I hope everyone can enjoy this story but, even if you don't, please let me know why and what you think I can do to improve. Thank you. (The original picture for the cover can be found here)

The Adventurer's Guild(master)
In a world of adventure, magic, and kingdoms, only one man can keep it all from falling apart. As much as he wished that wasn't the case. This is the story of the man who became the guild master of the most prestigious adventurer's guild in the kingdom, and then came to completely regret that decision, as he is forced to keep the peace, file paperwork, and babysit adventurers. The life of a guild master is not as great as it once seemed. Note: The prologue is an extended -probably should have not took it that far- joke and is completely skippable from the rest of the series. This is my first work on this website, or on any website to be honest, so criticism is more than welcome. Feel free to leave comments on any chapter, not just the latest one.

Author here, just wanted to say that if the synopsis did not sound as exciting as I had hoped it would be, try reading the first 10 chapters? I promise it won't be terrible! :) Whoops, forgot to mention, prologues don't count as chapters! If you've read this far, I might as well tell you what I was inspired by! However, this does NOT mean my story will be similiar in any way to the novels/stories/books listed below. By 'inspiration,' I refer to mainly how the characterizations plot devices, dialogue, conflict introduction/resolution, and thought processes are used and introduced in those works of literature. But in a way, you can interpret this list as, "if the author read and was inspired by these novels, then it's possible that we share similiar tastes, so I'll give this story a try." :) -Those Who Aspired to Become Gods: A darker fairy tale novel (My all-time fantasy favorite despite it being unfinished) -Forgotten Conqueror (Second all-time fantasy favorite) -Brandon Sanderson's The Reckoning trilogy (Third all-time fantasy favorite) -Kel Kade's 'King's Dark Tidings' -Brent Week's Night Angel saga -Red Rising trilogy -Infinite Realm: Monsters & Legends -Reborn: Apocalypse -Reborn: Evolving From Nothing -48 Hours a Day -The New World -Creep -Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4 -Can't Cure Deceit -Super Minion -Unparalleled -Unbound -Wake of the Ravager -Overgeared -Solo Leveling -The Tutorial Is Too Hard [email protected] -God of Money -A Snake's Life -The Snake Report -The Tower of God -UnOrdinary -Release that Witch!
