I am finally done; everything is ready for the birthday. I am very happy my little business if I can call it this way started to be known and little profitable. I began it 2 years ago and the idea came when I prepared my son's first birthday. I was struggling between Lucas, my job at the café, my household chores and in the same time have to prepare his birthday. So I thought I am not the only one in this situation many parents have to run everywhere to make their child's birthday unforgettable and respecting their child's choices without forgetting their obligations. My first client if I could tell was a Mum whose daughter attends the same daycare as Lucas. She was talking about the preparations of his daughter's birthday and was nervous so I proposed to help her and it's all this started.

I organize the event, take care of the gifts for the parents, make the groceries, order the cake and do the decorations according to the theme. The mouth to ear worked very well and now after two years I have at least one event per week and it can go up to three a week sometimes. At first I started only with birthday but now I organize baby shower or the welcoming party after the birth so I am pretty busy. I am proud of myself.

With that I had to reduce my working time at the café so I work only four days by week. I found my balance between my personal and professional life, I can take care of Lucas properly.

Talking about him, he is my sunshine. He is a very smart and calm boy and so cute. When you listen to him you don't expect he is 3 and half. I love him more than the life itself. It was him who allowed me to keep my head above water. I couldn't even think about what might have happened to me without him.

Looking at the time it is almost 6 pm so I have to go to take Lucas from the day care. I took my purse, keys and phone and made my way to there. It's not so far so I decide to walk.

He is ready and waiting for me

"Hey baby" I said kneeling and opening my arms for a hug he came running and jump to my arms

"I miss you Mum"

"Me too sweetheart, bring your bag and say goodbye to Sally we will go"

"Bye Sally"

"Bye Lucas see you on Monday"

"Good evening Sally" I said and we went out

"Have a nice weekend Elissa" Sally replied

"Thank you Sally, you too"

Once outdoors I took him in my arms and give him many kisses on his cute face

"Hahaha Mommy stop it tickles"

"I can never stop kissing you my baby" I said

"I told you Mommy I am not a baby anymore so don't call me like that"

"Yes I know you are a big boy but you know for me you will be always my little cute baby" I replied putting him down.

"So tell me how was your day Lucas"

"It was fine" He said but I felt him sad

"According to your voice it was not that fine"

"It's just Emma was absent"

"Oh and you know why?"

"I heard Sally say that she is sick"

"Ok baby don't be sad she will be fine"

"Could you call her Mum please Mommy I am worried about her" He asked looking at me

"Don't worry baby I am going to call her but we have to eat first" I said lovingly to him, he is so sweet and caring

"Where are we going?" He asked

"You can choose tell me what do you want to eat love?" I replied. Every Friday we eat together somewhere, it's become a habit and a good way to start the week end.

"Huuummm, I want fried chicken and fries a lot of fries Mommy"

"Ok let's go then"

We eat our dinner, Lucas told me about his day and I did the same. I love listening to him; his voice is like music for me. I called Emma's Mum and asked how Emma is. She said she has a fever nothing serious. Lucas wanted to speak to his friend but she was sleeping, he was upset but Emma's mum promised she will let her daughter call him back when she will be better. They are very good friends, Lucas like her very much and thanks to that I become close to Lisa, Emma's mum. After that we went to our apartment, I still live in the same place because I prefer to save money; the rent here is correct so we can rent a better house in the future.

"Come Lucas I will give you your bath"

"I don't want to go to bed now Mommy; I want to watch cartoons please" He said with a pout

"You won't sleep now baby, just take your bath, brush your pretty teeth and change in your pajamas then watch your favourite cartoons comfortably"

"Ok thank you Mum"

"You are welcome my love but not for long because you have a birthday tomorrow and we must wake up early ok?" I said with a smile

"Yes Mommy"

After his bath I cleaned the bathroom and prepared our clothes for the next day like that we won't lose time in the morning, when I went to check on him he was already sleeping on the couch. I smiled at his position and took him to his bed. We share the same room I just changed his bed. I took a shower too and go to bed I am so tired.

I woke up at seven, did my toilet and prepared the breakfast. I took a cup of coffee before waking my son. After breakfast we got dressed and we went to the birthday's place to prepare everything. I sometimes take him with me but not often and in this case he stays with his aunt Hailey in her home or with his grandparents but they came at my apartment because I don't want Lucas to run into there. Christine told me doesn't come often to visit them but I prefer to not take any risk. I know he doesn't come at Hailey's place, their relationship has changed a lot, they are civil to each other of course but she never forgives him.

Lucas likes to spend time with his aunty Hailey or Leyley like he calls her and Jeff his fiancé who is her brother's best friend. They known each other for a long time and Hailey had a crush on him and Jeff too liked her but when he went to do his world tour she was very upset and ignored him in his return. Jeff made the right things and wined her heart again. They are together for two years now and they are crazy about each other. I am happy for them.

The day went well; the parents and their child were happy and very satisfied with the organization. It really was a great day Lucas had fun too. But Lucas and I were exhausted so after having a quick dinner we slept as soon as we put our head on the pillow.

I slept with a sense of fullness. I have good jobs, a sweet home and the most important thing I have my son in my arms at every day end. I can say after a lot of troubles and pitfalls I found my happiness.

My son, family and friends are enough. I need nothing more.
