《The Wedding In Miami》Little Havana

"Thanks for nothing," I smiled at Zoey before going back to my room, groaning into my hands with Nick beside me. "Did you really have to do this to me?" I asked him.
"I'll never do it again if you can say you didn't like it," he shrugged.
"Forget it," I mumbled under my breath while going into my room while Nick went into his where we got dressed and then went downstairs for breakfast.
"Hello, Emma," Matt grinned at me.
"Hi," I smiled back while Nick went and talked to his mom.
"How've you been?" he asked. This is just him rubbing in my face that he already knew what was going to happen between Nick and me.
"Just say it," I shrugged while grabbing a chocolate muffin.
"I told you both," he chuckled.
"Yes," I sighed in defeat, "Yes, you did," I shrugged.
"Have fun," he gave me a quick side hug before going and joining his wife.
"Everyone just happened to see it coming," I mumbled to myself while getting some orange juice, rolling my eyes. Why is that everyone just happened to see it coming though? Nobody knew anything about what was going on between us, nobody was trying to put us two together, we didn't like each other when we got here and now we're almost two weeks into this trip and we're back to where we were before the break-up. I mean, as far as I knew, he was in a relationship which is why I knew my limits and didn't cross them.
He didn't know if I was talking to someone, but I suppose I made that obvious when I acknowledged Liam's flirting.
"Hey," Nick's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Hey," I nodded.
"Do you need help getting to the table? You've been zoned out for like ten minutes," he chuckled.
I rolled my eyes while walking to the table with him and sliding in my seat.
"Where are we going today, again?" Landon asked.
"Little Havana."
-----
We had been walking around and we were approaching lunchtime. This place is absolutely amazing. It's Miami's Cuban heart with stunning Latin-American art galleries, wonderful cafes with walk-up windows and the constant smell of cigars is a little concerning but it's no secret that it brings the place to life.

Every corner you turn, there's someone with a friendly face. Or an old man smoking a cigar but that's the tradition here, no problem with that. I stopped walking and stared at the graffiti.
"You gotta keep walking," Nick laughed, tugging on my hand.
"It looks so cool, doesn't it?" I asked, glancing at the graffiti before it slipped out of sight.
"Everything here looks so cool," he said while looking around. After walking around some more, we found a restaurant to stop by for some lunch. Fritanga Cana Brava. I was very confused while looking at the menu and had absolutely no idea what to get and everyone else was already ordering.
Nick placed his order beside mine before pointing to me and telling them what to get for me.
"What am I eating?" I asked in confusion.
"Costilla de Cerdo Fritas, it's chicken, rice beans, you'll like it, it's amazing," he nodded.
"How many times have you been here, Nick?" I questioned.
"Twice. Throughout the summers where we had no plans so just came out here," he shrugged. That explains how he knows everything about every place we go to.
A little after that, our food was brought and of course, Nick was right. The food was absolutely delicious, it was amazing.
"Do you know where we're going tomorrow?" I asked Nick while everyone was having conversations of their own.
"Yeah," he nodded, "And I'm not supposed to tell you," he said while sipping on his coke.
"Why not?" I asked in confusion. He just shrugged. "You can either tell me or I'll get it out of you," I gave him a pointed look.
"Really?" he narrowed his eyes at me, leaning in ever so slightly.
"Really," I nodded.
He sighed in defeat, "Tomorrow's a long day. First, you, me, Zoey, and Landon are going to Urban Air Trampoline Park," he said.
"The trampoline park for kids?" I looked at him in confusion.
"It'll be fun. Trust me," he nodded, "Then we're gonna meet the others at Grapeland water park for half of the day, and the other half we'll be at Miami Shores Aquatic Center," he explained.

"We're going to two water parks in one day?" I looked at him, "Why? Why not just spend one entire day at one and go to the other one some other time?" I asked in confusion.
He sighed, "You're too smart, nevermind, yeah we're only going to Grapeland tomorrow," he shrugged.
"I'm just not dumb," I laughed, "Why would we be going to two waterparks in one day?" I asked rhetorically.
"Actually, that is what we were going to do. I was smart enough to tell them no, that's just stupid. We'd be dead exhausted by the time we got back, we wouldn't be able to enjoy it," he explained.
"What idiot suggested going to both in one day?" I scoffed.
"Your lovely Liam," he rolled his eyes. I resisted an eye roll myself and continued eating my food.
After lunch, we walked around some more and then headed back to the hotel. We stepped inside and everyone headed to their rooms. "Meet us at the pool at four!" Landon called out while Nick and I headed to our rooms at the opposite end of the hall. I held a thumbs up, keeping my eyes forward, and continuing to walk.
Nick didn't even bother going to his door, he just waited for me to open mine.
"No," I chuckled.
"Why not?" he pouted, pulling his lollipop out of his mouth. The four of us got them at a bakery in Little Havana.
"Because I will see you at four," I gave him a pointed look.
"Emma," he whined.
"Four o'clock," I gave him a pointed look, holding my lollipop in my hand.
"Is my tongue red?" he asked, sticking it out.
"Yeah," I nodded, "Is mine blue?" I asked.
"Definitely," he nodded while laughing.
"Bye," I waved while opening my door.
He stepped inside before I could close the door and kissed me. "You taste like blueberries," he laughed while pulling away, "I kind of like it," he smacked his lips, licking them.
"I told you, you should have gotten the blueberry one," I laughed.
"Wanna trade?" he offered.
"No, that's gross," I laughed, putting my lollipop back in my mouth. "Bye, Nick," I sighed.
"Bye," he smirked before walking out and into his room.
At four, I changed into my bikini and slipped on some shorts, grabbing my key card before heading out to the pool. Nick was also coming out of his room so I went to the pool with him where we met Landon and Zoey who were already in the pool. I put my key in the back pocket of my shorts and left them on a lounger before going into the pool while tying my hair up in a bun.
"Hey," I sighed while walking over to Landon and Zoey with Nick beside me. I had to stay on my toes, I could barely touch the floor.
"Hey," they said while nodding in sync. Nick and Landon broke off into their conversation, leaving Zoey and me to ours.
"So, how are things with you and Nick?" she sang.
"They're okay," I chuckled, "I'm still a little hesitant though, I can't help it," I shrugged.
"Hesitant about what?" she questioned.
"Letting him in again. I want to think about the whole boyfriend, girlfriend thing, y'know? But I also don't want to let myself because I have no idea what he wants and if I'll be ready to do that, it's just really confusing," I waved my hand dismissively.
"Why are you so hesitant? Don't you trust him?" she asked in confusion.
"I do, just not as much as I should. It may have something to do with the fact that Rachel's here but I just keep replaying that night in my head and I remember how horrible I felt after we broke up. Just the thought of going through that again is scary," I sighed.
"Well, I think you should trust him. I think this time he has a little more to lose than you do," she shrugged.
"And how is that?" I questioned.
"Well, this time he's in love with you. More than you are with him. You're doubting it which is justified but he doesn't have any doubts," she explained nonchalantly.
"He's not in love with me, Zo," I chuckled.
"You don't know that," she gave me a pointed look.
"We're not dating, we're still just friends," I huffed, "Friends with complicated feelings," I shrugged.
"Are you kidding? He looks at you like you're his entire world."
