《The Wedding In Miami》Ice cream

"Nicky!" Elijah yelled. We had just had our lunch and we were about to head back to the hotel. "I want ice cweam!" he whined.

"Elijah, your dad is waiting for you," Nick sighed as we got to the car.

He was about to cry.

"I'll take you for ice cream, come on," I sighed in defeat while picking him up.

"Emma," Nick sighed.

"He's going to cry, Nick. it's just ice cream, just tell Finn, I'm sure he'll be fine with it," I arched an eyebrow at him.

"Fine," he sighed in defeat while pulling out his phone.

We were all exhausted and tired today. I just wanted to get to the hotel and take a long shower and follow that up with a long nap. We got in and drove to the nearest ice cream parlor. We got out and headed inside. I held Elijah on my hip while Nick got him ice cream.

"Here you go," he sighed while handing it to him.

He grinned while eating his ice cream, making a mess around his chin. I laughed while grabbing a tissue and wiping his chin before we got back to the car. He sat in my lap as we drove and soon enough, we were at the hotel. Finn and Allison were in the lobby so we handed Elijah over to them before going up to our rooms.

"I'm so tired," I leaned against the wall, grabbing onto the bar for support.

"I have a question," he said while looking at me. I just waited for him to continue. "We managed to avoid Madeline for the day but what happens at dinner? We both know she can't keep her mouth shut," he gave me a pointed look.

"I also know that she's not dumb enough to tell people that don't need to know. The only person she'll tell is probably William," I rolled my eyes as we stepped out onto our floor.

"Let's see who he tells then," he sighed as we strolled to our rooms.

I stopped at mine and opened it but instead of going into his room, he followed me in. "Okay," I chuckled while tossing my bag onto the floor.

I began heading to the bed but he pulled me back, "Shower," he pushed me into the bathroom.

"What are you gonna do?" I asked.

"Wait and then go shower," he sighed while sitting on the couch.

I shrugged while grabbing my clothes and going inside. I stepped into the shower without taking my bikini off so I could rinse it after and began washing my hair, standing under the warm water. I heard a door open then close so I assumed that he left and went out to his own room. I was about to pull on the strings of my bikini to take it off when the curtain opened.

"Hello," he smiled, his head popping up in front of mine.

"Can I help you?" I laughed.

"Do you always shower in a bikini?" he questioned, his brows furrowed in confusion.

"If only you would have waited a moment, now I know not to take it off," I shrugged.

"No, can I do that again?" he whined.

"Too late," I shrugged. He opened the curtain wider before stepping inside. "What the hell are you doing?" I laughed.

"I told you, save water and shower together," he shrugged.

"Nick, seriously, get out," I laughed while pushing him.

"Too late," he shrugged mockingly. I rolled my eyes before grabbing the shampoo and squirting it all over his head. "Oh, you're mean," he whined while rubbing it in while I applied shampoo to my scalp as well.

"Yeah, and you're interrupting my shower," I gave him a pointed look before rinsing out my shampoo.

"I'll have to take like three showers to get all this shampoo out," he whined while rinsing his head under the shower.

"Not really," I shrugged while running fingers through his hair, rinsing all the shampoo out. "It's not that hard," I said while stepping back and grabbing my conditioner.

"What is that?" he asked in confusion.

"Conditioner," I answered while applying it to my ends and the length of my hair before turning the water off.

"Now what?" he asked while leaning against the marble walls.

"I have to leave it in for a minute or two," I shrugged while grabbing the loofah.

"Oh! Can I do that for you?" he smirked.

"No, I think I'm capable of doing it on my own," I laughed while running it up and down my arms.

He put his arms around my waist and pulled me against him. "I'm taking a shower with Emma Roberts," he smirked down at me, "You're in a bikini but it counts," he gave me a pointed look.

"Sure," I laughed while resting my arms around his neck.

"Have we done this before?" he questioned, playing dumb.

"I don't know, have we?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"That's right! At my house!" he smirked before leaning down and kissing me.

We've done this before and then too, I was still in a bathing suit. We went for a swim at his house and he did exactly what he did right now. Interrupt my shower and then shower with me. Nobody stripped down to their bare butt, nobody got naked, we don't do that in holy places like this.

He turned the water on before pulling away and rinsing my hair out for me. "Emma," he cleared his throat, "How much would you hate me if I just decided to pull your bikini off right now?" he laughed.

"Nick, please don't," I laughed while rinsing the soap off my arms and torso.

"Don't worry, I won't," he mumbled before he did exactly what he said he wouldn't do. He pulled the strings before stepping out of the shower, leaving me to it.

"Great! Glad you're a man of your word!" I said sarcastically.

At least he didn't see anything.

-----

We were currently supposed to be heading to dinner but we weren't. We were in my room. Making out.

"Nick," I said breathlessly as I pulled away. "We have to go," I sighed.

"Really? The room service is really good," he said against my jaw.

"And why are both of us not attending dinner tonight?" I asked, biting back a laugh as he trailed kisses down my neck. It tickled.

"Because we're here making out," he mumbled. I'm trying really hard to not ruin the moment here. "Just do it, I know you're dying to laugh, just do it," he pulled away with a huff.

"I didn't do it," I said while laughing.

"Yeah right," he rolled his eyes before kissing me again.

"Nick," I mumbled against his lips while pushing him off. "We have to go," I rolled out from under him and got onto my feet. He groaned before standing up and following me out. We stepped into the elevator and then back out when we got downstairs. "Hey," I mumbled to Zoey while sitting beside her as Nick sat to my left.

"Madeline's gonna rat you two out. I'm not supposed to say anything," she said nonchalantly while eating.

"Rat us out to who?" I asked, my heart rate picking up.

"She already told William who told Landon and she's planning to tell your parents and his," she chuckled.

"The same way I'm planning to tell your parents about you and Landon?" Nick arched an eyebrow at her.

"Huh?" she sputtered, almost choking, "Nick," she glared.

"Maddie tells and so do I, the choice is yours," he shrugged while adding chicken to my plate.

"You're not gonna do anything?" Zoey looked at me wide-eyed.

I looked at Nick, then at Zoey, and looked at them back and forth.

Do I really want everyone knowing?

No, and I'll tell you why. Because I know Nick. And I know that the more people know about us, the more he's gonna wanna ask me to be his girlfriend. And I don't want to be his girlfriend. Before that statement sounds wrong, let me clarify what I'm getting at here. The last time I was his girlfriend, he cheated on me, at least I was under the impression that he did.

Which now makes me doubt wanting to be his girlfriend again. I'm scared that I'll say yes and he really will cheat this time and it won't just be a way to get rid of me. And that doesn't mean I don't trust him, in all honesty, Rachel is here and she's the one that I don't trust.

"Sorry, Zo," I shrugged, looking at her apologetically.

I know for a fact that Rachel will make a move on him any chance she gets, and I also don't think I'll be able to handle that again, I'm not willing to go through it so I'm just gonna try delaying the whole boyfriend, girlfriend title as long as possible.

She rolled her eyes at me before grabbing her phone and texting Madeline, pleading her not to tell anybody about Nick and me. Madeline looked up at us before shrugging with a smirk.

I looked down at Zoey's phone and there her text was.

'Too late, sorry sis- Mads'

Fuck.
