I walked downstairs into the kitchen and saw Michone sitting there with Carl on the table.

They were eating.

Me " nice shirt"

She smiled at me.

I sat down and ate some cereals.

Michone " I wish we had some soy milk"

Carl and I laughed " Seriously?"

Michone nodded grinning " yes. Seriously. have you ever tried it?"

Carl " when I was in third grade, Kendall had this phase. "

I rolled my eyes.

Carl " the soy phase. She only wanted soy milk for breakfast. I tried it"

Michone "and?"

Carl " I threw up"

I laughed " worst phase ever. "

Michone Chuckled" oh, yeah, right. "

Carl "alright. Alright I almost threw up. But I was like, ugh"

He fake puked.

Michone and I started to laugh.

Carl " it was so gross. I mean, literally, I would rather have powered milk than to have to drink that stuff again. I would rather have Judith's formul-"

He cut himself off.

We stopped laughing.

Carl stood up " I'm gonna finish my book. I have a couple chapters left."

Then he walked upstairs.

Michone looked at me.

Me " i'll go"

I stood up and followed him.

Michone and Carl had left to go for food.

Dad and I were lying upstairs in the master bedroom.

Dad " Ken?"

Me " hm?"

Dad " you know, I never liked you and Daryl together at the beginning "

I turned to him " you never said anything though"

Dad nodded" I know what was going on between you two at the CDC"

My jaw dropped " there was nothing going on with him and me "

Dad chuckled " I know how hickeys look like, Ken. "

Me "they could've been from Shane or from Glenn "

Dad " I thought at first Shane but then I saw the way Daryl freaked out when you were on the other side of that door. I knew it was him"

I sighed " Dad"

Dad " Then I saw the way you acted around each other. I learned to accept it. You are good for each other, Ken"

I nodded " I know"

Dad " I had a chat with him about you after your mother died."

I sighed " dad"

Dad " he told me that you didn't want to go back and he had to force you. Then I saw how you were after he left with Merle."

Me " I really do love him"

Dad nodded " I know. He really loves you too. I know you are old enough now but you have my blessing. "

I giggled " It's a little too late for that"

Dad " just in case"

Suddenly we heard the front door open and men coming in. They were loud.

Dad whisperd " under the bed"

He and I rolled under the bed.

Suddenly a man with a shotgun walked in.

He came closer to the bed. I held my breath.

Suddenly he jumped on the bed and laid down.

another man walked in and they started fighting.

The guy fell to the ground and saw us.

His eyes widened but the other guy stated choking him before he could say something.

Then he laid back down on the bed.

We had snuck into another room as the guy had fallen asleep.

Dad tried to open the windows but nothing.

The men started arguing again and started to leave.

Dad and I walked back into the master bedroom but then we heard Someone coming up the stairs and walked into the bathroom.

Someone was sitting in there.

Dad started choking him.

He's dead. Dad took his gun.

Dad and I got our stuff from upstairs. I got my blades and gun out of the boy room and dad the guns.

He then open the window of the bathroom and we slowly climbed out.

He looked over the edge.

I slowly climbed down. Dad followed me.

Then we ran to the front and hid under the porch. The door opened and dad took the gun out.

The guy sat down and ate.

I rolled my eyes.

Suddenly I saw Carl and Michone coming back.

Dad was going to kill the guy but then suddenly one of his mates yelled WALKER.

the guy walked in, dad and I ran away.

I hissed " go. Go!"

We ran away with them.

We were walking on a railway.

Suddenly Dad stopped on a train. it had a poster on it.

Michone " What do you think?"

Dad " let's go"

It was a safe place. With a map on it. We just had to follow the railway.

We started walking.
