*Melanie's POV*

When she left before I could say anything, I grumbled a bit. I glared at the door, closing it. "My siren? My siren?! What kind of nickname-? Know what, it's fine. It's good. It's alright." 'It is kinda cute....' "No! I mean yes, but I mean.... ugh! I don't know what I mean..." I sighed and flopped on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

I've always wanted a mate, every time I would date someone I would hope they would be my bloodsinger. I remember when I was 14, there was this boy named Alexander. He was so nice to me, he would give me compliments and assist me with tasks I had to do. He was in love with me, I knew that, but I just couldn't think of him anymore than a friend. I knew why now, I'm hella gay, but back then I had no clue. Back then, Homosexuality wasn't really known of.

Then a few years after my brother and I got turned, Carlisle took us to England. I met a boy named James there. He was nice, not bad looking either, but just like with Alexander I never thought of him more than a friend. When I told him this he was pissed and never talked to me again.

After that, I decided to have a break from love, but after a century I met this one girl. David and I were staying in a town in North Dakota for a few months, it was around the 20's. David has went to go get a few things and left me walking around town. As I was walking, I met this one girl named Annabelle. She was really pretty, not as pretty as Jane but still. Anyways, that's when my gay-ass realized that I was into ladies. And apparently she was too, well until her parents found out and got sent to conversion therapy....

And then we have Susan. She was so sweet to me. I really thought that she was going to be my mate but turns out she was one of those straight girls that like to mess with Lesbians. I hate those kind of girls.

Then when we moved to San Diego, California I met this other girl named Mackenzie, Mac for short. She was a definite tomboy, and we dated for a while. We were happy together and I really thought she was going to be my mate but like the others she wasn't. We broke it off mutually, we just felt like it wasn't working out for us. But we're still on good terms, she's in college right now. She's studying to be a teacher which was nice and she told me she got a new girlfriend a few months ago.

I was too caught up in my thoughts to realize that Jane had come back. "What are you think about?" She asked, laying down next to me.

I shrugged. "My past mainly." I said, looking at her.

"What about your past?" She asked, looking at me. Her eyes were a bright red so I know she just fed off some poor human. I frowned mentally at the thought.

"Just.... stuff." I said, sitting up. She sat up as well.

"What stuff?"

"It's none of your business really." I snapped a bit.

"Sorry."

"It's ok." We stood up. "I need to go hunt." I said, putting on my denim jacket.

"Can I come?" She asked, watching me as I put on my black converse.

"I guess? It's really nothing special." I said, looking at her.

"I know, I just would like to observe." She said, smirking a bit. I rolled my eyes.

"Alright you weirdo." I said, punching her arm lightly. "Race ya!" I said, speeding out of the room before she could say anything else.
