*Melanie's POV*

Right now, we were currently on a tall, rocky mountain. I was currently sitting on a rock, waiting. Jane, who was sitting right next to me, was bored. At least, I thought she was. It was hard to tell what she was feeling sometimes.....

I was about to say something until I heard a twig snap. My head snapped towards the source of the noise. I looked through the forest when my eyes landed on a Chamois (if you don't know what that is, it's a type of goat-antelope creature) I smirked a bit and looked at Jane. "Jane, darling, close your ears." I said in a hushed voice towards her. I then turned back to the creature and started singing. It quit moving, looking at me. It didn't do anything and I could tell it was already caught up on my voice. I slowly walked towards it until grabbing it by the neck and started feeding off of it.

When I was done, I wiped my mouth and turned back at Jane. She was watching me with interest and I just smiled, skipping back towards her. "I will admit Melanie, that was very entertaining to watch." She said as I sat next to her.

I smiled. "You think so? Well I might have to invite you more often then."

She laughed and then looked at me. "You have some blood on your cheek by the way." She said, I was about to get it until she wiped it off for me. I'm sure if I could, I would blush, and she knew that two because she was smirking. "What is it? Cat got your tongue?" She asked, smirking a bit.

I rolled my golden eyes. "Whatever." I turned my attention towards the sun set. Both of our skins were sparkling, like we had glitter on ourselves. Jane and I were keeping our distance, not wanting to get to close to one another. I glanced over at her for just a mere second, she was watching the sunset as well. My eyes went back to the sky before she could catch me. I subtly put my hand on top of her's, but when I saw she stiffened I quickly pulled it away. "Sorry." I muttered.

She then grabbed my hand back, yanking me closer to her. I looked at her, slightly surprised, but didn't say anything. She noticed my expression and smirked, still staring at the sun. I sighed and stared at it as well.

Soon, the moon and stars were out. I gazed at the stars, they were honestly beautiful. I loved how they made patterns on the dark sky, and I would trace them mentally. I could feel Jane staring at me but I didn't say anything about it.

*Jane's POV*

Oh mio dio, she is so gorgeous. I have never bet someone with such beauty as hers. With her soft raven hair, and pink lips. And not to mention her golden eyes, but she would be much lovelier with ruby red eyes.

I was staring at her as she gazed up at the stars. She didn't seem to notice that I was staring at her. Or she did but just didn't say anything. Either way, I didn't stop. I just couldn't take my eyes off of her. "Melanie."

"Yes Jane?" She asked, looking at me. Even her voice was angelic, just like her singing.

"I'm about to do something, but you can't freak out. Ok?" I asked hesitantly.

"Ok." She answered, laughing slightly. I let out an unneeded breath and leaned in slowly. I could see her back away slightly, making me stop for a moment, before continuing to lean in. I put a hand on her cheek before pausing, our faces mere centimeters apart. We made eye contact before I closed my eyes and did something I thought I would never do....

I kissed her.

*Melanie's POV*

'Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! She's kissing me! What should I do? Kiss back you idiot! Right.' I thought to myself. I could feel she was about to pull away before I closed my eyes and kissed her back.

The kiss was gentle and I honestly loved it. I put my hand in her hair, undoing her tight bun in the process. I played with it as I continued to kiss her, this is one of the few moments that I was glad to be a vampire and didn't have to breathe because I didn't want this to end.

But sadly it did, we separated and looked at each other. She was honestly so beautiful with her hair down, I wondered why she didn't keep it down more often....

My thoughts were interrupted by her clearing her throat. "We should probably head back now." She said, looking away.

"Yes, I suppose we should...." I said, looking away as well. She got up and offered her hand to me. I took it and stood up. We then rushed back to the castle, still holding each other's hands....
