*Melanie's POV*

As I laid on my bed, Josie came in. "Is the crazy girl gone?" She asked.

"Yes, she's gone Josie." I answered, rolling my eyes. She noticed and sat next to me.

"What's with the eye roll?"

"Oh, it's just.... her." I said, putting a pillow on my face.

"What did she do?" She asked, taking the pillow away from me.

"She wants us to join the Volturi and I've already told her we have no interest in joining. But she just won't listen!" I complained. Josie rolled her eyes, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Just don't worry about it. In a week we'll be back home, far away from her."

"Well.... that's the thing..." I said, looking up at her. "We kinda made a deal. I would come here with my coven for a week and she would come to our home the next."

"What?! You invited her to our home! Are you mad?!" She said. I rolled my eyes a bit.

"That was the only way she would leave me alone Jo!"

"Well still Mel! We have friends that are humans! Are you forgetting about Sadie?!" Ah yes, Sadie Carter. My best friend since we moved to California. She's a human soooooo...

"I haven't forgotten about Sadie. I just won't let her come over that week."

"Well still." She huffed, crossing her arms. I rolled my eyes again.

"How about we go hunt?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"I thought you would never ask. My throat is burning." She said, rubbing her throat. I chuckled and with that, we sped out of the room.

*Jane's POV*

After Melanie's and I's fight, I sped to my room. I slammed the door and sighed. Is it too much too ask for my mate, my one cause of my existence, to join MY coven?! I even offered for her family to come but noooooo!

I huffed and threw a vase against the wall, just as the door opened. It quickly closed before the could be hit though. After a moment, it opened to reveal Alec. "You're pissed. Care to share?" He asked, closing the door. I rolled my eyes.

"Just my mate." I muttered, sitting on my bed.

"What about your mate?" He asked, sitting next to me.

"She's just so... so.... ugh!" I groaned a bit. "She's so stubborn! I offer her to be apart of the Volturi and I even offer her coven to join but she still refuses! It's just so infuriating!"

"Sister dearest, calm down." Alec said. "All you need to do is convince her that joining the Volturi isn't so bad."

"Well how would I do that?"

"Find out what she likes." He said, getting up and leaving.

"'Find out what she likes.'" I scoffed. "How am I supposed to that when she probably won't talk to me." I sighed once more, staring at the ceiling.

I got up, heading to her room. I knocked on the door. When nobody answered I knocked again. "She is not here." A French voice said. I looked over to see a girl with bright red hair.

"Then where is she?" I asked, my voice monotone.

"She went hunting with Josie." I rolled my eyes.

"Of course she did." I muttered, looking her up and down. She didn't seem threatening but if she did I could surely take her down. I smirked at the thought.

"She should be back soon though." She said, closing the door. I sighed and went in her room. I saw that she hadn't unpacked yet, looking at her suitcase that was on her bed. I immediately unzipped it, looking through it.

One thing caught my eye while I was looking through it, it was a camera. I looked through it, seeing lots of pictures, some of landscapes and some of people. "So she like photography..." I said, smirking. I then heard footsteps coming to her door. I quickly put it back in her suitcase and sped out of the room, using the window to get out.
