《Lost Fantasy-Life After Reincarnation (Arc 1)》Chapter 30

The next morning, Loganel was somewhat embarrassed when he realized that Iry had stayed by his side for the whole night. With a lazy blink of his eye, he laid there due to the fact that it was officially the start of the weekend and he had no plans for the day. He listened to the soft breathing of the girl that laid there next to him, which caused his heart to race, and he stared at her pretty dormant face. She was curled up close to Loganel's body so as to maintain warm with the use of his body heat. Loganel smiled at that thought, glad to be wanted by someone in this world.
After a while, her eyes slowly opened, and with a yawn, she looked over at Loganel dreamily as if she has yet to fully wake. Her perfectly combed hair was somewhat destroyed by the night's sleep, but her beauty still caused her to appear angelic.
"Good morning," she said softly, smiling since the first thing she had saw for the day was Loganel. She slowly got up, allowing the comforter to slip down her body, and started stripping but paused before she was able to take off anything. She blushed as she looked over shyly at Loganel. "Would you...look the other way for a bit?"
Loganel blushed as he realized that he was staring at her alluring figure the whole time, and immediately looked the other way and turned his back towards her. He could hear his heart pounding as the sound of Iry changing was audible from behind him.
"Iry, are you free today?" Loganel asked without turning his head to look at her.
"I don't have anything planned for today." Iry's response brought a sense of joy to the flustered Loganel.
"Um..." he started nervously, "would you ugh...go out with me today, you know...just to walk around." Loganel closed his eyes as he awaited his answer.
Suddenly, he felt a pair of arms thrown around his neck before the hands clasped itself on his chest. On his back, he could feel a pair of softness pressing against him, causing him to tense up as he realized what it was.
"I would gladly," he heard Iry's soft, gentle voice whisper into his ear. Her voice was populated with joy.
Without any objections from Lori, Loganel and Iry left Sister Lori's and wandered onto the lazy morning street of the red-light district. All of the bright lights and woman were no where to be seen, leaving the street with an oddly innocent appearance. However, knowing the true nature of this street, Loganel was amused by this almost polar side of the street.

As he walked, he occasionally glanced back at Iry nervously. She was no longer dressed in the somewhat skimpy clothing that she usually donned when he meets her at Sister Lori's and instead, she was dressed in a casual, white dress that was almost a perfect combination with her platinum colored hair. The way she dressed was so innocent that no one would be able to relate her to being someone who works in the red-light district. However, this innocence that was on display wasn't being forced. Rather, it was her nature aura. As Loganel walked the streets with Iry, he could feel the numerous admiring and sometimes lustful glances others casted at her as she walked by. Loganel didn't blame the others for their reaction. In fact, he too sometimes caught himself staring at Iry, obviously attracted by her angelic beauty.
Iry stayed close to Loganel almost always, and even closer when there were many people around. She wasn't the most confident, and so often clung onto Loganel's arm. However, her curiosity for the outside world was obvious to Loganel, who could see her pretty face light up from the closest spot possible whenever she sees something that has caught her interest and would immediately turn to Loganel with an ethereally joyful expression on her face as she asked Loganel to explain what certain things were. Upon seeing that face of hers, Loganel could only wonder how anyone could resist being attracted to her. It was almost as if it was a rule of God that she was to be the one that would attract all males by her almost perfect nature and appearance.
"Loganel..." Iry looked at Loganel with those beautiful blue eyes of hers as they sat facing each other in a quiet cafe. "I think I should go explain things to them, you know...you're friends."
"No..." Loganel answered.
"Why?" she looked confused as to why Loganel had rejected her proposal. "Wouldn't me explaining things to them clear up any misconceptions about they have about you? Or is it that you don't want a girl who works in those places to taint your name even more..." her voice gradually quieted down as she finished her sentence, and on her face there was a veil of sadness.
It was obvious that she was worried about her position, and it pained Loganel to see her in such turmoil because of him.
"You're not dirty," Loganel said, looking Iry in the eye as he did so. "You're the prettiest and most innocent girl I've ever seen in my life."
"Loganel..."
"So please," Loganel continued. "I know this might be a bit selfish of me to ask this of you but um...would you..."

Loganel avoided her eyes as he looked away shyly. However, his pride fueled him to continue on looking into her eyes since what he was about to propose was something that is extremely important to him, and he just hopes that Iry would return those feelings.
"Would you..."
Calm down, he told himself in his mind.
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he prepared himself. Loganel then took a deep breath so as to calm himself.
"Yes?" Iry looked at him with an innocent tilt of her head. This gesture made Loganel's heart pound even more.
"Would you only serve me and only me from now on?" Loganel finally forced out. Upon hearing his words, Iry appeared confused. "Of course, I will always come by and request for you. I ugh...I just don't want to see you with anyone else you know. So um..."
Loganel blushed as he prepared to say the four words that he had kept in himself for all that time. Even though they had only met each other for about half a month, he felt hopelessly attracted to her. There was just something about her that acted as a magnet that drew him towards her, causing his brain to be flooded with thoughts of her whenever he was free. These thoughts included a wedding, included a happy family, and including the idea of till death will they part. Therefore, he was hoping that the four words that he was about to say would aid him.
"May I buy you?"
"What?" Iry appeared somewhat dazed by Loganel's sudden proposal and was still comprehending what he was saying. However, after about a second, her face turned red. "You um...you will have to ask Lori," she said shyly as she tried to look away from Loganel but couldn't control her glances at him. "But um...if it was up to me," she said, and as she talked, Loganel's eyes were attracted to her moving lips. "I would gladly if it was you."
At that moment, it was as if a thousand tons of weight was lifted from Loganel's shoulders. He felt relieved by this sudden happiness and it was as if his past troubles were all minuscule matters.
"Tomorrow," Loganel said excitedly, "I'll ask Lori how much it'll be. Then, I'll work hard and save up until I can buy you. Would that be fine with you."
Iry nodded as she shyly smiled. However, her response was enough to make Loganel's day. He was motivated by her response and was determined to accomplish his goal.
***
That night, after walking Iry back to Sister Lori's, Loganel left happily, with each step feeling the lightest they had ever been in his whole life. As for Iry, she was joyful too, and despite her best attempts to conceal it, it was obvious to all the other girls at Sister Lori's.
"Did anything special happen between you and that boy today?" Lori asked after seeing Iry conceal a smile for the tenth time that evening.
"Nothing," Iry simply responded. However, no matter how much she was to attempt to deny it and conceal it, her joyful eyes was enough to give everything away.
"Looks like she's found her special someone," one of the girls said.
"I never knew that you like boys that are younger," Lori chuckled.
"He's younger than me?!" Lori appeared surprised. However, her surprise wasn't enough to dampen her already joyful mood.
"Don't tell me you're gonna reject him because he's younger. It's only by about a year and a half or something," Lori said as she released a huff of smoke after bringing the pipe to her mouth.
"No, of course not," Iry said. She then continue to twirl her fingers before her. "It's just that...it's kind of cute."
Lori smiled as she quietly observed Iry's joyful behavior. Lori looked on as if she was a mother who's daughter was about to be wed off. She wasn't mad or anything. Instead, she was quite happy for Iry, and she was sure that all the other girls at her establishment were happy for Iry too.
"I wish I can find someone who's willing to make his bride," a girl complained as she dressed.
"You better find one before you get all wrinkly," another teased.
It was lively in the dressing room of Sister Lori's. All were happy that one of their sisters was going to be a happy girl for the rest of her life.

Dragon: Birth of an Ancient
Deep in a secluded forest, within the depths of a long forgotten cave, an unnatural silence that has reigned for little over a million years is shattered as a hatchling takes its first breath. To the various species that called this world, one of seven, home, the matter seemed beyond insignificant. The hatchling, like all monsters, had no divine backing and with its age, could only be considered a lesser existence. A being to be used by the Chosen and noble monster bloodlines in their never-ending pursuit of power, fame and immortality. However, how could any of the short-lived races, Chosen and Monster alike, know that the tiny, weak, lizard-like creature was much more than it seemed. That it was an entity only spoken of in myth and legend. From a species that their ancestors, with the backing of the Gods, paid a huge price to remove. A heretical existence that threatened the fragile peace that had descended upon their world. A Dragon. ==== ** Cover done by the amazing Felix!*** I am writing this story for a friend who is currently in hospital and in a very precarious situation. He gave me the plot/ concept and, after my own health issues, I wanted to try and brighten his day and provide a distraction from the monotony of their hospital stay. I am posting it on RRL mainly in case anyone else can find enjoyment from the story and to show the readers of my other stories that I am not permanently MIA (and will 100% return to those stories in the future).
