《Harry Hook X Reader X Carlos De Vil》Chapter 17

Six months after that amazing experience was a hell of a head ache but I enjoyed it very much.

It also took six wonderful months to be where Carlos and I are currently, and I couldn't ask someone else to replace him.

But I think that all happens today...

Carlos has been hanging out with Jane more than we do, and it makes me really jealous.

Not only that but since the last past months, Ben made her an official secretary meaning that we're supposed to share the position.

I have already asked Ben to not make her my 'partner' but he still insisted.

Since that day I saw Carlos and Jane under the same tree we had our first date.

I was also irritated at the sight of her.

With the cotillion almost here in three days, my supposedly boyfriend hasn't asked me to be his date yet.

Weird right?

You would think he'll be the first to ask since we're together but no!

'He's been busy with Jane' and I quote.

I was now in Mal and Evie's room, watching Mal getting fitted in her cotillion gown by Evie.

"Okay, I cannot breathe." Mal said after Evie tightened the back of her dress.

"You can breathe after cotillion."

"Well, I sincerely doubt that." I said as I stood infront of the two.

"She has atleast twenty more events directly behind it." I finished.

Mal gave me a forced smile.

"Thanks, (N/N)! And I don't even remember what a single one of them is!"

She then looked at her leather jacket on the coat rack.

"Evie..."

She hummed to Mal, meaning she was listening.

"Do you ever think about what we were doing if we were back on the Isle right now?"

She laughed as she looked up at her.

"That's funny. Ah!"

All of us turned to the TV and watched.

"Look who's on TV!"

Evie and I grab Mal's hands, making her get down from the stand where she was.

"As the royal couple continues their tour of the kingdom, they dined with Aladdin and Jasmine." The speaker of the show narrated as they showed Mal and Ben eating.

I heard Mal laugh from her bed.

"Six months ago, no one thought King Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last!" The speaker continued.

"Yeah, no kidding."

I heard Mal said from her spot.

She suddenly gasped and stood up to look for something.

I turned to Mal, to see her holding her spell book.

"Read it fast at lightning speed, remember everything I need."

Mal grabbed another book and opened it.

"I know Mal's secrets of fitting in and Ben wouldn't like it one bit."

Evie put her hands on her hips as she faced Mal on her bed.

Mal ignored her and continued to flip through the book's pages.

"Haven't you guys had enough secrets between the two of you already?" Evie asked, making Mal look at her.

"Evie, you remember what I was like before I started using my spell book. I mean, I was a complete disaster." Mal explained.

"Well, personally as your bestfriend. I strongly believe that this spell book..."

Evie grabbed the book from between Mal's legs, making her yelp.

She gave her a look and continued, "It belongs to the Museum with my mirror."

Mal stared at Evie in disbelief.

"Don't give me the face, put the pout away. Mhmm, you know I'm right."

Evie stood back up and Mal gave me a pleading look.

I shrugged, don't know what I could do in this situation.

"You don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" Mal asked, turning to her bestfriend.

"Like stealing and lying and fighting?"

"Yeah!"

Mal had a smile on her face, but Evie's said otherwise.

"No! Why would we? M, come here."

Evie walked infront of her and grabbed her hands.

"Look at where we are! We're in Auradon! And we're Auradon girls now."

She dragged Mal towards her workstation.

The three of us looked at the TV as it showed Ben and Mal eating a strawberry.

"See? This is the land of opportunity, we can be whatever we want to be here."

"So please, let's just leave the past in the past. Okay?"

Evie wrapped her arm around Mal's shoulders.

I looked down.

If only that's easy...

"Besides... I mean, look at the shoes!"

Evie gushed over Mal's cottilion heels, making me laugh.

Mal and I shared a look, a look of wanting freedom from our Auradon lives.
