Liliana's PoV
"When were you gonna tell me?," I asked him calmly as he drove us back home.
"Once you were better," he answered. "You're sick and piling more shit on top of you isn't gonna get you better."
"I'm not dying," I scoffed out. He let out a sigh, keeping his eyes trained on the road ahead. "I don't know the man. I've probably only met him twice in my life and now, he wants to get to know me out of the blue."
Sebastian shrugged his shoulders. "It's your decision."
"What do you mean it's my decision?," I snapped. "Did I or did I not clearly say to his face that I want nothing to do with him?"
"You did."
"I've made my decision."
"Okay."
"But he's some stranger," I spoke, my voice cracking. "He's trying to flip everything upside down."
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm not," I said clearing my throat although it did nothing. "I'm not crying!"
"Okay! Sorry I asked," he said calmly, slightly confused.
I sniffled slightly. "What if he wants to kill me? Maybe he's come to finish the job off. And I trust too easily, maybe that's how he thinks he'll be able to kill me."
"I think you're reading too much into it."
"And now, you think I'm delusional!," I exclaimed, throwing my hands in the air. "I want nothing to do with that man, my mother or my- fuck, I don't even know what to call him! He's not even my real dad."
"You're not delusional. You're just confused. I think you should take some time and really think about it."
"And now, you think I'm rushing into this decision? It's not huge. I don't want to know him and that's it!," I almost yelled and by the look on his face, I could tell that he thought I was trying to pick a fight.

I wasn't. He just keeps on saying the wrong stuff. It's like he's trying to make me cry on purpose.
"You don't need to get to know him," he shrugged, giving up as he glanced at me.
"Thank you," I said. "That's all I wanted to hear."
"I'm just saying that you have a choice," he added on carefully.
"Oh shit," I said as my hand covered my mouth. His eyes widened as he pulled the car to halt on the side of the rod. I quickly undid my seat belt with my hand still covering my mouth before jumping out of the car and heaving out everything inside of me.
"You okay?"
I nodded my head as I slowly got into the car.
I really hate being sick.

"Sebastian, I think we should get rid of my headstone," I told him.
"It's about time."
"But we're gonna have to dig up the grave. What if someone is in there?"
"Then we'll figure something out," he shrugged as he grabbed his keys. "But can I break it?"
"Yeah," I sighed out.
Getting rid of my grave seems like the perfect start to the future. We're getting rid of the past and moving forwards. That sounds amazing.
"What if we get caught and then thrown in jail?"
"We won't. It's dark. No one will see us," he reassured me. "If we do, I have enough money to pay whoever I need to off."
"I'm putting all of my trust in you."
"It should all be in me anyway." I shrugged my shoulders as I slowly walked towards the car. He slowly walked beside me.
"Why are you acting like I just got released from the hospital after getting shot and hit five cars repeatedly?," I asked, getting irritated.

It's safe to say that he's been irritating me a lot more. I always somehow manage to take in his words and overthink about them which makes me cry and I probably completely take them out of context. I should really try and stop doing that.
"Something is wrong with you," he said, holding his own ground. "You won't get checked out. You don't have a fever yet you're vomiting. So you actually could be dying."
"Shut up."
"Fine."
We didn't say a word as we got into the car with all of the equipment we'll need. Well, all of the equipment Sebastian will need. I'm just going to be observing and maybe even vomiting.
Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the cemetery. Sebastian led the way to 'my' grave. I stood there and just stared at the headstone.
It's surreal seeing my own actual name on it. It's crazy to think I was supposed to be six feet under it.
I'm actually grateful that we decided to do this now instead of waiting for tomorrow. We're less likely to get caught at night.
Who really comes to a cemetery at night?
I would've thought because I'm in the mafia I would've been buried somewhere with a little more security. There are some sick fuckers in the world that would dig me up and keep my corpse hostage in exchange for money.
Crazy and slightly sickening.
Oh no, that's just the taste of my sick in my mouth. I just got a bit confused there.
Without a warning, Sebastian shoved a shovel in my hands as he began digging. "I'm sick," I said, reminding him as I pretended to cough.
"It's not my grave I'm digging up. I don't give a shit if there's anyone in there," he shrugged. "If you want, I could just give up. I could break the headstone and we could go."
"No, no, no," I grumbled out. "I'll do it."
Begrudgingly, I began digging, sniffling, sneezing and coughing every so often so he'd think there's more to my sickness than just the vomiting. There isn't but still.
A hell of a long time later, we hit the casket. Not bothering to lift it out with my help, Sebastian jumped down on it.
"Sebastian," I hissed out. "Get off it! You need to respect the dead."
"They're dead," he said flatly. "They don't know. Plus the casket is probably empty."
I didn't say a word as he broke off the edge of the casket that was keeping it bolted with a hammer before he lifted up the top half of the casket which revealed a skeleton.
It was a skull.
Someone was in here.
My parents knowingly put someone else in my grave.
What the fuck?
I took a step back as Sebastian looked up at me worriedly. "It's a man," Sebastian told me. "They're wearing a suit. The tie is still there."
"W-When did you say Matteo killed himself?," I asked nervously, slowly beginning to put the pieces together, swallowing the lump in my throat.
"I have no idea," he breathed out. "Your parents said he did it after your death. He wasn't at your funeral."
"Do you think...?"
"Maybe."
"If he's in mine, then who is in his?"
