Liliana's PoV
"HOW THE HELL COULD YOU DO THAT!," I screamed at my supposed family as I entered my childhood home that I haven't entered in years.
My mom sat there with her arms crossed as my dad looked ashamed. Don't worry, it's not biological one.
He should be ashamed and more.
"You're sick," I spat out. "You watched him grow up! How could you just kill him?"
My dad stayed silent. "We did what we had to, to keep your secret," my mother spoke up. "Plus, we didn't kill him. We just buried him."
"Did I ask you to? No," I said harshly. "How can you look at his dads face everyday knowing you kidnapped his sons corpse?"
They both stayed silent.
"Oh my god, he knows," I breathed out as I took a step back. "That was his kid! How-Why-?This doesn't make any sense!"
They didn't say a word. It was almost as if they had vowed to never speak on this again.
"You're the reason his mom killed herself!," I screamed at them, wiping my eyes. I was close to his mother.
I know I wanted him dead. I know I did. But he should not have been put in my grave. He should've been put in the correct one.
God, that doesn't sound any better.
His mom committed suicide after he passed, it was said that his mom couldn't live without him. But, knowing what I know now, I'd say she found out what happened to her son and she was killed for it and her death was made to look like a suicide.
"That's why you both came to the office," I said, putting it all together, thinking back to when my dad and the biological one came to the office. "I thought you hated each other but the only thing you both had in common was me."
"I always knew you were smart," my mom said, praising me. What is it with our moms becoming psychopathic bitches?
I ignored her. "He threatened to tell everyone what you did, didn't he?," I said, wanting confirmation. "He threatened to tell me."
"He did," they both breathed out. "Years ago, he tried to stop us but when he found out you were alive, he helped us. We didn't kill Matteo, he did that to himself. We just buried him. Your biological father wanted to keep you safe even if it meant doing what we did. At the time, it just made sense to put Matteo in your grave!"

"I need to know who is in his grave."
They glanced at each other before looking back at me. "No one," my mom spoke. "It was an empty casket. But we had to put some sandbags and bricks in it to add some weight."
Psychotic.
"Why should I believe you? For all I know, you could have shoved Ava's body in there!," I exclaimed, thinking about how I haven't heard from my little sister in years.
I really should try and reach out.
"Don't be stupid," my mother snapped. "She's your sister. She's travelling."
"Really? I need to know what sister level she's on. Is it half or...?"
"Liliana," my mother said sharply, trying to silence me.
"I don't want anything to do with any of you," I told them both firmly, finally giving up. "Don't even try to contact me."
With that, I slowly walked out of the house, wishing Sebastian was with me. Now I have to hold in all of my overflowing thoughts until I can get home and see him and let it flow.
Speaking of flow, it's not arrived. When I want it to happen, it refuses to cooperate. But when I don't, it decides to come earlier.
And now, my period is deciding to not come and it's really really annoying me. Maybe that's why I keep vomiting without feeling like I have a fever or anything.
My family is sick. I can't believe my parents could do that to someone they practically watched grow up. I know for a fact that my brother was in on it too.
I feel sick.
~
"Sebastian," I told him, trying to stop him from talking. "Just leave it. What happened has happened and now we just have to move forwards."
Somehow, throughout the day, I matured and thought about this long and hard after obviously ranting to Sebastian about everything.
I think finding out who was in my grave was the key to the rest of my life because now that I know, I can move on with my life without wondering if some innocent person was put in there. I can finally out this all in the past. I would've thought that I'd be upset by this revelation but to be honest, I'm not. Matteo was sick and I made my peace with the fact that he'd be dead all those years ago. It's just the fact that he was put in my grave that's a little unsettling.

"I know," he mumbled. "But if I see any of your family coming near you, I will murder them with my hands."
"I'll hold you to that."
"You feeling any better?"
"No," I said, shaking my head, thinking about how I threw up two minutes ago. "Sebastian, lets' start fresh."
"What?"
"Lets' start fresh," I said. "Lets' pretend to not know each other."
"Hey," he spoke with a smirk, trying to hide his smile at how stupid this is. "I'm Sebastian. I run a mafia and own many businesses. I'm also a billionaire. You must've seen some articles written about me on Daily Mail and some news reports on my life on TV."
My face dropped at how much information he gave. "I'm Liliana, you might know me as Elena. I was born in a mafia and got married to a mafia leader before I faked my death and ran away and stole someone else's identity because his crazy mom was trying to kill me."
"Great to meet you."
"You too," I said. "I honestly think we're a perfect match. You know why?"
"Because we just met each other and you're crazy?," he said questioningly, still playing his role.
"Exactly but I'm crazy for you," I chuckled. "But because through all of that crazy shit we went though, we found our way to back to each other."
"Two halves make a whole," he added.
"Now," I said getting back into my role. "I'm crazy and will you marry me?"
He pretended to think for a moment. "No," he said flatly. "Only because I proposed to you first."
A huge smile grew on my face. "We can finally move forward," I said, feeling lighter. "We've unlocked all of the bad parts and secrets of our past and now, there's nothing holding us back."
"Lets' dance," he suddenly said as All Of Me by John Legend began playing from his phone.
"What if I don't want to?," I asked, teasing him.
"Then we won't dance to this when we get married." I let out a groan as I wrapped my arms around his neck. His hand fell on my waist as he pulled me closer to him. My head rested on his chest as we swayed in time with the music.
"'Cause all of me, loves all of you," Sebastian quietly sung along as he rested his cheek against the top of my head.
"Love your curves and all your edges," I continued.
"All your perfect imperfections."
"Give your all to me and I'll give my all to you," we both sung at the same time.
"You're my end and my beginning."
"Even when I lose, I'm wining," I sung.
"'Cause I give you all of me. And you give me all of you, oh-oh," he sang. I stayed quiet, finding his voice comforting and soothing.
I've always loved this song. But now, I think I love it even more. I should really make him sing to me more often.
Through all of the shitty and heartbreaking days (and there have been a lot), Sebastian has always managed to brighten up my day, just like he did today. This man is my everything and life without him is not worth living. Even when I wasn't here, he was still trying to fight for me in his own way by making Isabella's life a living hell.
At one point we were just chapters and pages in each other's stories but now, our two separate books are about to merge together creating on big one for our future together.
And honestly, I can't wait.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
