Calliope, Dean and Sam are leaning against the Impala, Dean having binoculars in his hand as he looks at a house across the way. "Are you sure that's him?" Dean asks Sam.
"Only Jack Montgomery in town" Sam tells him.
"And what exactly is is we are looking for?" Calliope asks Sam.
"Travis said to keep an eye out for anything weird" Sam tells her as he passes her a pair a binoculars.
"Weird?" Dean asks.
"Yeah" Sam tells him.
"Alright, well, yeah. I've seen big weird, little weird, weird with crazy on top. But this guy? I mean, come on, this guy's boring" Dean tells them.
"I don't know Dean, Travis seemed pretty sure" Sam says as the three of them look through their binoculars and watch this man.
The three of them watch as the man is leaning on the island in his kitchen, looking around. They see him take a drink form a beer bottle, before walking over to his fridge. They watch as he takes something from the fridge and starts eating it, with out using any untensils. He seems to be shoving the food into his mouth, without a care in the world. He continues stuffing his face, when he finishes and grabs something else from the fridge. They realize it looks like raw meat, and he opens the package up and starts eating it. Calliope puts the binoculars down and starts to feel sick, from seeing the man eating raw meat.
"I'd say that qualifies as weird" she hears Sam say as she tries to take some breaths of fresh air.
"Callie, you okay?" she hears Dean ask concern in his voice.
"Yeah, just that...that was nasty" She says to him as she takes a deep breath.
"Come on let's get back to the motel and figure out what the hell that was" Dean says to her. The three of them then get back into the impala as Dean drives to the motel they had booked before checking out Jack.
Dean, Sam, and Calliope enter the motel room, both boys stop when they see a figure in the room.
"Travis" Sam says to the man in the room.
"See, Sam, told you we should have hid the beer" Dean says to his brother as they all walk into the room, Calliope closing the door behind them. The man, Travis gets up from the chair he was sitting in and walks up to the boys.
"Smartass, get over here" Travis says to Dean, and they hug. "Ahh, good to see you" he adds.
"You too" Dean says back to him and they break apart as Travis then hugs Sam.
"Good to see you" he says to Sam.
"You too Travis" Sam says to him and they break apart.
"Man, you got tall, kid" Travis remarks to Sam, "How long has it been?" he then asks the boys.
"Ah, gotta be 10 years" Sam replies.
"You still, a..oh, what was it...a mathlete" Travis asks him.
"No" Sam scoffs.
"Yep, sure is" Dean then says.
"Been too long, boys. I mean look at you. Grown men, John would have been damn proud of you. Sticking together like this" Travis says to them.
"Yeah, yeah we're as thick as thieves" Dean says who looks at Sam, who's smile fades at Deans words, "Nothing more important than family" Dean then says.
"Travis, this is Calliope Atwell" Sam then says introducing her to Travis.
"Your not Anthony and Sarah Atwells daughter?" he asks her.
"Yeah..yeah I am" she replies.
"Sorry to hear about what happened to them. Did you ever take care of the vamp who did it?" he asks her.
"Actually Dean did" she tells him.
"That be why you here with them?" he then asks her.
"Yeah, he saved my life and well I've been kind sticking around these boys for awhile now" she tells him.
"You be careful with these boys" he warns her as he heads back over to the table and the four of them sit around it.
"Thanks for helping out an old man. I'm a little, uh, shorthanded" he says indicating his arm that is in a cast. "So you track down Montgomery?" he then asks them.
"Yeah, we found him at his home" Sam tells him,.
"And?" Travis asks.
"Well, he had a hell of a case of the munchies, topped off with a burger he forgot to cook" Dean tells him.
"That's him alright" Travis then says.
"What's him?"Dean asks.
"We got a rougarou on our hands" Travis says to them and they all look confused.
"A rougarou?" Dean asks him, as he looks at Sam then Calliope "is that made up?" he asks and before either can say he says, "That sounds made up"
"They're mean, nasty little suckers. Rotted teeth, wormy skin, the works" Travis explains.
"Well, that ain't this guy, I mean, he was wearing a cellphone on his belt" Dean says.
"He'll turn ugly soon enough. They start out human, for all intents and purposes" Travis says.
"So, what? They go through some kind of metamorphosis" Sam asks.
"Yep, like a maggot turning into a bull fly. But most of all they're hungry" he tells them.
"What exactly are they hungry for?" Calliope asks.
"At first, for everything, but then....for long pig" he tells her and both Sam and Calliope take a deep breath. Dean looks at the two of them confused by this tearm.
"Long pig?" he asks.
"He means human flesh" Sam tells him.
"And that is my word of the day" Dean says.
"Hunger grows in till they can't fight it. Till they got to take themselves a big juicy chomp, and then it happens" Travis tells them.
"What happens?" Sam asks.
"They transform completely and fast" he tells them, "One bite is all it takes. Eyes, teeth, skin; all turns. No going back either, they feed once, they're monsters forever. And our man Jack's headed there on a bullet train" he explains.
"Well, how'd you find this guy if he's walking, talking human?" Dean asks him.
"Let's just say it runs in his family" Travis tells them.
"You, mean, uh.."Sam says.
"Killed his daddy back in '78, son of a bitch mangeled 8 bodies before I put him down. Guy used to be a dentist. Casillac, trophy wife...little did I know, pregnant trophy wife. She put the boy up form adoption. By the time I found out, he was long gone, lost in the system" Travis explains.
"You mean to tell me you couldn't find domwone?" Sam asks him.
Travis sighs, "I'm not sure I wanted to. The idea of hunting down some poor kid...I don't think I'd have the heart. No, I wanted to wait, make damn sure I had the right man. Apparantly I do" he says to them.
The four of them start to prepare for taking care of Jake, "So, fire huh?" Dean asks Travis.
"The only way I found to kill these bastards; deep-fry 'em" he tells Dean.
"Well that's gonna be...horrible. Is that what you did to Jack's dad?" Dean then asks.
"Uh-huh" Travis responds to him. Just then Sam comes back into the motel, papers in his hand.

"Not wasting any time, are you?" he asks seeing them making their weapons.
"None to waste, the guy hulks out, we won't be finding bodies, just remains" Travis tells him.
"What if he doesn't hulk out?" Sam says as he sits donw on the bed. "I did a little homework. Uh, I've been checking out the lore on rougarous" he says to them.
"What? My 30 years of expeierence not good enough for you?" Travis says to him.
"What? No, no, I-I-I just wanted to be prepared. I mean, not that you didn't" Sam says.
"Sam loves research, he does. He keeps it under his bed mattress right next to his KY" Dean jokes, "It's a sickness" he adds as he looks at Sam, "It is" he says.
"Look, everything you said checked out , of course, but, uh, I found a couple interesting stories about people who have this rougarou gene or whatever. See, they start to turn, but they never take the final step" Sam says and Calliope stops making her flamethrower.
"Really?" she asks him.
"See, if they never eat human flesh, they don't fully transform" Sam tells them.
"So, if they just try and stay vegetarian, they stay human" she says to Sam.
"Basically, or in this case, eat a lot of raw meat, just not" "Long pig" Dean finishes saying for Sam.
"Right" Sam says and Dean just smiles.
"Good on you for the due diligence, Sam" Travis says as he gets up, "But those are fairy tales" he adds as he goes to the pantry in the room to make another cup of coffee. "Fact is every rougarou I ever saw or heard of..took that bite" Travis adds.
"Okay, well, that doesn't mean that Jack will" Sam says as he gets up.
"So what do we do? Sit and hope and wait for a body count?" Travis asks as Dean also stands up.
"No, we talk to him, explain what's happening, that was he can fight it" Sam says.
"Fight it" Travis says as he lets out a laugh, "Are you kidding me? You ever been really hungry?" he then asks. "I mean, haven't eaten in days hungry?" he adds.
"Yeah" Dean says.
"Yeah, right then, so somebody slaps a big, juicy sirloin in front of you, you walking away?" Travis asks. Dean thinks about this for second, before raising his eyebrows and looking over at Sam and Calliope. "That's what we are to him now, meat on legs. I'm sorry, I'm sure he's a stand-up guy, but it's pure, base instint. Everythig in nature's gotta eat. You think he can stop himself 'cause he's nice" Travis says to Sam.
"I don't know. But we're not gonna kill him unless he does something to get killed for" Sam says firmly. Dean just looks at him not saying a word, as Sam takes a breath, before walking out of the room.
"What's up with your brother?" Travis asks confused by Sam's actions.
"Don't get me started" Dean replies as he sits back down going back at making their ammo.
Dean, Calliope and Sam were traveling in the Impala, to go talk to Jake, "All right, so we're gonna go have a little chat with this guy, which you know ....I'm down" Dean says as Sam sits their quietly.
"But I just want to make sure, if push comes to shove, you're gonna shove" Dean says.
Sam then turns to look at his brother, "Meaning?" he asks him.
"Well, odds are we're gonna have to burn this guy alive" Dean says to him.
"Dean, this man has a name and a wife" Calliope says to him.
"Yeah, who we're probably gonna make a widow, okay? I mean you heard Travis. He's gonna turn, they always turn" Dean says to her.
"Well, maybe he won't, maybe he can fight it off" Sam says.
"And maybe, he can't that's all I'm saying" Dean responds.
"All right, we'll just have to see then, okay" Sam says to his brother.
"This is what I mean, Sam. You sure your emotions aren't getting in the way here?" Dean asks his brother.
"What are you talking about?" Sam ask him.
"You know, nice dude, but he's got something evil inside. Something in his blood, maybe you can relate" Dean says and at these remarks Calliope can tell its angering Sam.
"Stop the car!" Sam demands.
"What?" Dean asks him.
"Stop the car or I will!" Sam demands again.
"Dean just do it" Calliope says to him. Dean starts to slow the car down and before he even stops it, Sam already had his door open, and was trying to get out. Dean stops the car, and they all get out of the car.
"You want to know why I've been lying to you, Dean? Because of crap like this" Sam shouts at his brother.
"Like what?" Dean asks as they head to the front of the Impala.
"The way you talk to me, the way you look at me like I'm a freak!" Sam shouts at him as he walks past his brother then turns around to look at him frustration and anger on his face.
"I do not" Dean denies.
"You know, or even worse, like I'm an idiot!" Sam says as he gets closer to his brother, "Like I don't know the difference between right and wrong!" as he steps away from his brother once again, "you don't treat Calliope in this way, so why me!" he shouts at Dean as he turns his back to his brother again placing his hands on his hips deep in thought once again, before looking back at his Dean who is looking down. "What!" Sam says to him.
"Do you know the difference, Sam? I mean, you've been kind of strolling a dark road lately. Calliope isn't being manipulated by a demon to use her powers" Dean adds.
"You have no idea what I'm going though, none!" Sam says to him.
"Then enlighten me" Dean asks his brother.
"I've got demon blood in me, Dean! This disease pumping through my veins, and I can't ever rip it out or scrub it clean! I'm a whole new level of freak! And I'm just trying to take this-this curse....and make something good out of it, because I have to!" Sam tells his brother. Dean doesn't say a word, as Sam looks down toward the ground. The brothers just stand there, a few moments of silence between the two.
"Let's just go talk to the guy" Dean says and Sam scoffs at him, "I mean Jack, okay" he than says.
"If you two start that again, I will use my powers to separate you. For now we need to just focus on this case, and then we can discuss about whatever is going on with Sam" Calliope says to the boys.
"Okay, mom" Dean jokes with her, she just rolls her eyes as the three of them head back to the car.
Dean, Calliope and Sam get out of the Impala, and head to a backyard, walking through a back garden gate. "Jack Montgomery?" Sam asks seeing a man in the garden a hose in his hand. "I'm Sam Winchester, this is my brother Dean and our friend Calliope Atwell" Sam explains. The man takes a minute then turns around to look at them. "We need to talk" Sam tells him.
Jack looks at the three of them, first Sam, then Dean, then Calliope before looking back at Sam, "About?" he asks him.
"It's uhh about you, and how you are umm changing" Calliope explains to him.
"Excuse me?" he says looking at her.
"You're probably feeling your bones move under your skin, and your appetite's reaching, you know, 'hungry hungry hippo' levels. How am I doing so far? Dean says and Calliope just looks at him.
"Who the hell are you guys?" Jack asks them.
"We're people who know a little something about something" Dean tells him.
"We're people who can help. Please, just hear us out" Sam says to him. He looks at them unsure whether to believe them or not. Sam then explains to the man, about what it is they want to help him with. The man seems more confused by their presence, and looks at them like they are insane.
"A-a what?" he asks them.
"A rougarou, sounds made-up, I know, but believe me, it's not" Dean tells him.
"Alright, I've noticed certain things. I mean, some strange things. But I just, I-I don't know, I'm..I'm sick or something" Jack says to him.
"Your father was one of these things" Sam says getting his attention, he looks at Sam, "Your real father, he passed it on to you" Sam adds.
"No, are-are you guys listening to yourselves? You s-sound like you're-" Jack says.
"Skip the whole 'you guys sound crazy' shall we? You're hungry, Jack, you're only gonna get hungrier" Dean says to him.
"Hungrier for?" Jack asks him.
"Long pig, you know a little manburger helper, may have crossed your mind already" Dean says and Calliope just shakes her head at Dean.
"No" Jack denies.
"Listen Jack, you don't have to be like this, there is a chance for you to fight it off" Calliope says to him.
"No" Jack says to her.
"Others have" Sam tells him.
"We're not gonna lie to you, though. It's not gonna be easy, you're gonna feel like an alcoholic swimming around in whiskey. But I'm telling you, you gotta say no or" Dean says to him.
"Or what?" Jack asks.
"If you feed once then it's all over, and we will have to stop you" Calliope tells him.
"Stop me? My dad, did uh, somebody stop him?" Jack asked them.
"Yes" Sam tells him.
"Get off my property right now!" he says to them angrily, "I see you guys again, I'm calling the cops" he says.
"Jack, your wife, everybody you know, they're in danger" Sam says trying to reason with him.
"Now!" he shouts. Sam lets out a sigh as he walks away from Jack.
"Good talk" Dean says as he and Calliope also walk away from Jack heading back toward the Impala.
Sam, Calliope and Dean got back in the Impala, parking another street over to keep a close eye on Jack, hoping that he wouldn't do anything wrong. That's when they see Jack walking down the street heading toward the building across the street. Sam reaches into the backseat beside Calliope and grabs one of the flamethrowers, "Damnit Jack, no" he says as he starts to get out of the car.
"Calliope stay here in case he runs" Dean says to her and she nods as she passes him another one of their makeshift flamethrowers. Calliope stays in the car as the brothers go to check out what is happening. She sits there waiting to see if Jack tries to make a run for it, all she hears is a woman's scream, and she rushes out of the car. She runs toward the apartment when she sees the boys leave the building looking completely embarrassed.
"What happened?" she asks them and they both just shake their heads and get into the Impala, and Calliope follows them. Dean turns the car back on and they take off back to Jacks residence. Pulling up they notice another vechile parked nearby, and they all get out flamethrowers in hand.
"I guess now we know where Travis is" Dean remarks as they walked towards the house.
"That stupid son of a bitch" Sam says earning a look from his brother, as the three of them walk up the porch steps. As they approach the door, it slowly opens, and Dean enters it first, and Calliope follows behind him, with Sam taking up the rear. The three of them move further into the home and that's when they see the pool of blood. Slowly Calliope follows the trail of blood, and has to stop when she sees pieces of what she can only assume to be Travis.
"Oh God! "Calliope cries out covering her mouth in shock.
"Oh God!" Dean says after her, "Think that's, Travis?" he then asks.
"What's left of him" Sam says with a sigh. Dean looks over at his brother, as Sam gives a look of defeat, "Guess you were right about Jack" Sam says to him. Just as Dean is about to respond he is attacked from behind.
"Dean!" both Sam and Calliope scream out, Sam then goes to grab his flamethrower. Calliope goes to do the same but before she can Jack knocks her down before grabbing her and tossing her across the room. Calliope feels the impact and slowly tries to get up, before she's hit again and everything goes dark.
Calliope slowly opened her eyes to see Sam knocked out beside her, and that they are in a closet. Calliope goes over to Sam, and checks to see if he is okay, "Sam...Sam..come on...wake up" she says as she shakes him. Slowly Sam starts to wake up, and he looks at her, "Callie.." he says as he starts to sit up, he tries the knob on the closet and they realize it's locked.

Tale of Family - Book 1 - WIP
The world is peaceful in 2063. Fusion reactor and Diamon battery had taken care of the energetical problem. Countries were stable. Automation was everywhere. Life wasn't hard anymore, at least not in the United States of Europe. Summer break is about to start and, finally, Zoe will turn 18 and be able to play the game, Binding Fate. A simple video game, a vrmmo, but what swam under its surface wasn't simple. Power, fame and money were but the tip of the iceberg... State: Hiatus because I've an idea for another story. Quick F.A.Q. : - Yuri/female homosexual relation? Yes.- Yaoi/male homosexual relation? Maybe.- Explicit Sexual Content? Maybe.- Full Fledged Tragedy? No. Never, ever ever.- Body Modification/Body Horror? Yes. (Note: what one person think is body horror can be acceptable for someone else. If you want to see to what length I can go, read a bit of The Other Labyrinth. However, I won't go as high as quickly in the body mod/horror, so relax.- Gore? Hell yeah! I love gore! spraying blood and viscera etc...- Torture? Hurgh... maybe? Idk. Not at the start at the very least.- Memory loss/erasing? No, or at least not permanently. I basically hate this trope because it's like taking out all the character grow from a character, destroying everything that makes them what and who they are. so no.- Overpowered protagonist? You will see mufufu...- Will characters stay relevant seeing how numerous they are? YES, MOTHERFUCKING YES, I hate when characters relevance decay over time for no good reasons ^^'- Plot Armor? First of all, a definition: "Sometimes referred to as "Script Immunity" or a "Character Shield", Plot Armor is when a main character's life and health are safeguarded by the fact that he's the one person who can't be removed from the story. Therefore, whenever Bob is in a situation where he could be killed (or at the least very seriously injured), he comes out unharmed with no logical, in-universe explanation." (courtesy of https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PlotArmor I love you guys ^^) So now that this is said, do my characters have plot armour? No, because I always have an in-universe explanation, even if you don't know it yet ^^ Something is illogical or don't make sense? Read more, the answer is surely in the story ^u^- Balanced system? If you want to crush numbers and have a perfect equation balancing all the system, that's not the story for you. The system is more like a living being, and the rewards aren't forcibly tied to the level of the player. In fact, the system is purposely unbalanced ^^' Author's note: My goal here is to write a slow-paced story revolving around the bonds linking the characters, be them family, friends or lovers. Fight will be part of it, but I intend to build an actual interesting world before making truly large-scale battle happen, because the bigger a battle is, the larger its causes and effects are. I also aim at telling a story about how the characters actually help each other becoming stronger, more stable and happier. I particularly despise the lone MC type that becomes so powerful that every other character of the current setting become irrelevant beside being hostage targets, so this will not happen. I also like crafting, arrays, blacksmithing etc... so there may be crafting. Another thing I like is management game like sim-city or the like, so this while also appears, keeping in mind that I like MC's that make people around them stronger... For the tropers around here, a list of tropes that I like to use (note that I may not use all of them ^^) (this list will be updated as I dive deeper and deeper into our dear trope wiki.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BodyHorror- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SealedGoodInACan- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouAreNotAlone- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ZombieAdvocate (In particular since I see a lot of things that aren't human as worthy to live and to live with)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasLovedOnes- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasStandards- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HeelFaceTurn- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CorruptTheCutie (Note: being corrupted don't mean you're a villain, only different than before.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DefectingForLove (Of course.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VillainousRescue- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InterspeciesAdoption (For the same reasons as zombie advocate, since I love family stuff)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrokenBird (to go with corrupt the cutie if it's a girl)Cover: "The Bard" by John Martin, 1817.
