(Season 4x 4)

Calliope laid in the motel bed, fast asleep, unaware that Sam was sneaking out of the room. Dean was fast asleep in the other bed, when she started to wake up sensing something was wrong. She awakes to see Dean gasp and wake up, looking at the end of the beds she sees Castiel.

"What the hell" she says to the Angel.

"I couldn't stop any of it, she still made the deal, she still died in the nursery didn't she" Dean suddenly says confusing Calliope.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, you couldn't have stopped it" Castiel says and Calliope looks at both of them confused by what they are even talking about.

Dean then stands up from the bed, "What?" he asks.

"Destiny can't be changed, Dean. All roads lead to the same destination" Castiel tells him.

"They why's you send me back?" Dean asks.

"Send you back?" Calliope ask as she sits up in the bed.

"For the truth, now you know everything we do" Castiel says to Dean.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Dean asks as Castiel looks over at the cot that Sam was suppose to be sleeping on and they realize he's gone.

"Where did Sam go?" Calliope asks.

"We know what Azazel did to your brother, what we don't know is why-what his endgame is. He went to great lengths to cover that up" Castiel says not answering Calliope's question.

"Where's Sam?" Dean then asks.

"425 Waterman" Castiel says as Dean then goes for his keys and his jacket.

"Dean wait" Calliope says as she gets out of the bed quickly getting herself dressed and grabbing her own jacket.

"Your brother is headed down a dangerous road. Dean, and we're not sure where it leads. So stop it or we will" Castiel warns Dean before disappearing.

"Dean, what the hell just happened?" Calliope asks as they head out of the motel room and to the Impala.

"You won't believe me if I told you" he says to her.

"Try me" She asks as they get into the car, and head off to where Castiel told them Sam would be. As they drove, Dean explains all about what Castiel did to him, how he sent him back in time, and he got to see his parents when they were younger. Hoe his mother's whole family had been hunters, it ran in the family the whole time and they had no idea. Dean went on to tell her, that his other had made a deal with the yellow eyed demon known as Azezeal and that was why he had come for Sam. Calliope looks at Dean, in complete confusion, trying to understand what he said.

"You were gone in the past for days, yet it was only hours here, Castiel was able to send you back in time?" she says.

"Yes, and now we have to stop Sam from doing a terrible thing" he says as they make their way to the address Castiel had given Dean. Pulling up to a building, Dean stops and parks the car, and the two of them step out. Dean pulls out his gun, and keeps it out infront of him, Calliope does the same as they get closer to the building.

They get to the building and look inside, where they see Sam standing with a woman, a man is in the middle of the room. They watch as Sam has his hand out infront of him and starts a exorcism, and they watch as the black smoke inside the man is forced out, and goes through the ground. Dean and Calliope look at one another in disbelief at what they had seen. They make their way around to a door, and Dean opens it seeing Sam trying to help the man and the woman standing behind Sam.

"So...anything you wanna tell me Sam" Dean says pissed at his brother.

"Dean, hold on, okay? Just let me" Sam starts to say.

"You gonna say. , 'let me explain' You're gonna explain this? How about this? Why don't you atart with who she is, and what the hell is she doing here?" Dean says pointing at the woman, who Calliope knows as Ruby, but chooses not to say anything.

Sam looks back at Ruby, who is staying calm about the whole situation, she smiles at Dean, "It's good to see you Calliope, and it's good to see you again Dean" she says to the two of them.

"Ruby?" Dean asks her, and she smiles at him before he looks over at Sam, "Is that Ruby?" he ask him.

Sam doesn't say a word, and Dean looks back over at Ruby, Calliope can sense the anger rising in Dean , just as he steps forward and grabs Ruby shoving her against the wall. Dean then reached for the demon knife and just as he makes the motion to stab her Sam shouts out at him, "Don't!". Calliope watches as Sam grabs for the knife and the boys start to fight, struggling for the knife. Dean gets the upperhand and shoves his brother against the wall. Ruby then grabs Dean, and pins him up against the wall.

"Ruby! Stop it!" Sam tells her. She just stares at Dean, as she continues to hold him in a chokehold, Dean staring right back at her, anger on his face. She finally lets go, letting Dean fall down, he slowly gets himself up off the floor. Dean looks at his brother before looking back at Ruby.

"Well, aren't you an obedient little bitch" he sneers at her. Looking at Dean anger builds more on Ruby, as she wants to fight him off again.

"Ruby" Sam warns her, and she looks at Sam, "Ruby he's hurt" Sam tells her insdicating to the man that was still in the room. "Go" Sam tells her, and she looks at Dean before walking back over to the man. She puts the man over her shoulder as she gets ready to take him out.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Dean asks her.

"The ER...unless you want to go another round first" she tells Dean as she then walks out with the man. Dean just looks at his brother, disbelief and anger on his face, "Dean" Sam says to him. Dean then walks toward the door, and walks out leaving Sam and Calliope behind.

"How long, how long have you continued doing this with her?" Calliope asks as they walk out of the building.

"Awhile, more since the whole Castiel thing" he tells her.

"Sam" she says disappointed with him.

"Calliope if I can do this, you know how many lives I can save" he says to her.

"Sam, are you sure this is what Ruby is trying to teach you that she doesn't have an alternative motive?" she asks as they start to walk back to the motel, both being ditched by their rides.

"Callie, I can trust Ruby" he says to her.

"I don't know Sam, it's just she is part demon" she says to him.

"Callie, she hasn't said or done anything to prove she's untrustworthy" he tells her.

"Fine" she says as they go back to the motel.

Calliope was seated on the bed, while Sam was at the table reading his book, when the door to the motel room opened and Dean walked in. Dean doesn't look at his brother, as he walks over to his bag and grabs it. Sam gets out of the chair, looking at Dean who is packing his things.

"Dean, what are you doing?" Sam asks him, but he chooses to ignore his brother. "What, are you leaving?" he then asks his brother.

"You don't need me, you and Ruby go fight demons. Maybe have Calliope join your little club since she's special like you" he says looking at Calliope.

"Dean, think about this" Calliope says as she gets up off the bed.

Dean finished packing his bag, and made his way for the door, Sam stands in the way stopping him from leaving. Dean just steps around him about to open the door.

"Hold on Dean, come on, man" Sam says to him.

Dean turns around and out of nowhere punches his brother in the face, and Calliope screams out in surprise as Sam stumbles back from the hit. He slowly turns back to look at his brother, "You satisified" he says and Dean hits him once again, as he throws his bag down. Calliope goes over to Sam to check on him seeing his lip bleeding, "I guess not" Sam says as he touches his bleeding lip.

"Do you even know how far off the reservation you've gone? How far normal? From human" Dean ask anger building up with each word.

"I'm just exorcising demons" Sam says.

"WITH YOUR MIND!" Dean screams at him, "What else can you do?" he asks a more calmly.

"I can send them back to hell. It only works with demons, and that's it" Sam tells him.

Dean then grabs Sam, pushing him backawards, "What else can you do?" he demands from his brother.

"Dean, back off" Calliope says, "he's told you all he can do" she adds as she then uses her powers to push Dean away from Sam.

"You knew, you knew all about Sam and what he's been doing haven't you" he then asks her and she doesn't say a word as he then walks away from the two of them.

"Dean, listen we should have said something before" Calliope says and Dean doesn't say a word to her.

"I'm sorry Dean, I am. But try to see the other side here" Sam says, and that gets Dean to turn around and look at him.

"The other side?" Dean asks him.

"I'm pulling demons out of innocent people" Sam tells him.

"Use the knife!" Dean says to him.

"The knife kills the victim! What I do, most of them survive! Look, I've saved more people in the last five months, than we save in a year" Sam explains to him.

"That what Ruby wants you to think? Huh? Kind of like the way she tricked you into using your powers" Dean says as he shakes his head at Sam, upset with him, "Slippery slope brother, just wait and see. Because it's gonna get darker nad darker and God knows where it ends" Dean says to him.

"I'm not gonna let it get too far" Sam tells his brother. Dean smiles at his brother before walking over toward a side table, hitting the lamp on it in anger as it crashes.

Dean looks at his brother and Calliope angry, "It's already gone too far, Sam. If I didn't know you..I would wanna hurt you" he says and Sam looks at his brother tears in his eyes, "and so would other hunters" he adds.

Sam looks up at his brother, "You were gone, I was here. I had to keep fighting without you. And what I'm doing ....it works" he tells him.

"You had Calliope, Sam, you could have been fighting with her not with some demon. But what I want to know is if it's to terrific ....then why'd you lie about it to me?" Dean asks Sam who just looks back down, "Why did an angel tell me to stop you?" he then asks him.

"What?" Sam asks him surprised.

"Cas said that if I don't stop you, he will. See what that means, Sam? That means that God doesn't want you doing this. So, are you just gonna stand there and tell me everything is all good" Dean tells him. Both brothers have tears in their eyes, and Calliope can see the pain on both of their faces, no one says a word, and are all startled when Sam's phone starts ringing.

"Hello" Sam says answering the phone, "Hey Travis, yeah, hey...uh...it's god to hear your voice, too, yeah. Umm look. It's not a really good time right now its...Yeah okay, Uh, well just give me the details, and uh....Carthage, Missouri" they hear Sam saying into the phone as he goes and grabs a pen and paper to write something down. "Looking for Jack Montgomery" he says as he then ends the call looking at the other two.

Calliope, Dean and Sam packed their things up and headed out on the road. Dean explains to Sam the time travelling he did the night before, and Sam looks at his brother in surprise at what he was told.

"I can't believe it, Mom, a hunter" Sam says to him.

"I woudn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it myself. That woman could kick some ass. I mean she almost took me down" Dean tells him.

"How'd she look? I mean...was she happy?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, she was awesome. Funny and smart. So hopeful" Dean explains as he looks at Sam before looking back at the road, "Dad too.. until of course"

Sam just sighs, "What?" Dean asks.

"Nothing" Sam says as he just looks out the window, something on his mind. After a minute Sam looks back over at his brother, " It's just, our parents and now we find out our grandparents too? Our whole family murdered and for what? So yellow eyes could get in my nursery and bleed in my mouth" Sam says. Both Calliope and Dean give him a look, wondering how he knew about that.

"Sam, I never said anything about demon blood" Dean says to him, and he doesn't say a word, "You knew about that?" he then asks Sam.

"Yeah, for about a year" Sam tells him.

"A whole year? Did you also know about this?" Dean then asks Calliope.

"No Dean I only knew about him and Ruby" she answers him.

"You knew about Ruby, seriously any other secrets between the two of you, like did you really not go on cases together, or did the two of you hook up right after I kicked the bucket" Dean then asks her.

"Dean, it was nothing like that" Calliope says.

"We should have told you. I'm sorry" Sam says to his brother.

"You've been saying that a lot lately, Sam. But whatever, you don't want to tell me, you don't have to. It's fine" Dean then says to the two of them.

"Dean" Sam says looking at Dean, who just continues to stare at the road, "Whatever" Sam then says as they continue down the road toward the address Sam had gotten.
