《INVITE ME ROUND》Chapter 15

The wind blew as you walked the empty streets. Your black dress only came down to your knees, which made you trembling because of the cold. And it was getting more and more uncomfortable walking in those heels.
The light from some street lights flickered, causing you to walk a little faster than usual.
This neighborhood was foreign to you, and without the map you had on your smartphone,
you probably wouldn't find the right house.
When you looked at the windows of the houses, you realized that most people are already asleep.
Why were you on your way to this party? The further away you were from your home, the more unsure you became about your decision.
Maybe someone just set a trap for you.
Raising your gaze from up from the street, you noticed a stranger with a black hood ambling down the path in the distance.
You wanted to turn around but your legs kept walking because you were too curious.
Actually, you knew that Harmony was behind the whole thing. After all, she had put the letter on your bed.
You watched the stranger while unobtrusively reaching into your pocket. It was safer to come with a pepper spray.
As the young passed, your eyes met.
His gaze was cold and uncomfortable.
Immediately it reminded you of Lilith. Before you lost sight of him completely, your eyes met something that seemed gold. He was holding it in his hands.
"Wait...," it blurted out of your mouth. He stood there without moving.
"What's that you're holding in your hand?" You allowed yourself to look at it again, but he immediately put it in his jacket pocket.
"What's that to you?" he was sure of what he was saying. If that's what you thought he was holding, then he probably wouldn't say a word.

Without saying a word, you pulled out your envelope.
"Fuck. Shit. Dude, couldn't you have just come out with that? I thought you were one of those nosy cop daughters." He exhaled.
"Is that what I look like?" You thought about his words for a moment.
"No, now that you mention it..." he managed a relieved, nervous smile.
"I want to go there, but I feel like I'm going in the wrong direction.
So... could you maybe..."
"Oh, you want to know where the party is?"
You nodded, putting your phone in your pocket.
"It's about two blocks away." The boy pulled his hood down, revealing his blond cursed hair.
"Kay, thanks. I thought I was hearing some loud music or something, but nothing. I even toyed with the idea that this was all just a stupid joke..." you smiled shyly.
"No, actually not. So this is your first time going to this party?", he moved closer to not speak so loudly.
"It seems so..." you shrugged, not sure what to expect.
"Whatever makes a girl like you go there..." he wiped his hair.
"...Take care, okay?" he said seriously.
To admit, it gave you an awkward gut feeling.
"All right," you thanked him again and set off.
A short moment passed before you heard his voice again.
And the next moment his hand was already on your shoulder.
You gasped, trying to reach for your pepper spray again.
"Hey maybe I should go with you." You shook your head in confusion.
"Before you say anything, believe me, you don't want to go alone to this party."

As uncomfortable as that walk with the boy named Luke was, after a few minutes you were relieved when you heard the loud music coming from one of the houses.

Somewhere in that white building you would find Harmony. You would talk to her and she would explain everything to you.
"What's up lovebirds? Would you like a drink?", a youth who could hardly stand gave you two red mugs.
Just before the rim of the mug could touch your mouth, Luke threw it on the floor.
"Do you want to be lying unconscious somewhere in the corner, in the first few minutes?"
"Say, did an angel send you to protect me?" You laughed and pushed your way through the many people standing on the lawn in front of the house.
The people were surprisingly old.
"Dude, I'm looking for a friend. I'd be grateful if you go your own way from here." You smiled again.
"Are you serious? Fine. But if you need anything, you call me. I'll stay here."
"Thank you my guardian angel." You winked, making him roll his eyes.
A weirdo.
The music was too loud and the house was too crowded and stuffy. You would have gone straight back out if your eyes didn't meet that woman at that moment.
"That blonde bitch is everywhere, isn't she?" A delighted smile formed on your face, and you immediately forgot what you actually wanted there.
