《Unfair (Haikyuu X Male!Reader)》2

The walk to the building didn't take too long, in fact you it lasted less than two minutes.

You neared the building, after saying goodbye to Kai who remember that he too had to join a club something. It will probably be awkward for him since he has an higher chance to meet girls in his club, the art one, than you have to meet any in the male volleyball team. Your lips twitched upward at the thought, even if there was a problem.

Introductions.

You had to make one, everyone does. You were lucky you prepared the one you had to make for your class but what about the club?

'I could make a complete fool out of myself, say something stupid, fall while I'm getting inside or just stutter like if there wasn't a tomorrow.. No negativity M/N. If you can get on a stage with no problems then you can introduce yourself to a group of boys. Yes. You can.'

You inhaled and aexhale and took some steps forward, preparing yourself to open the door of the gym.

And, as you were going to do exactly that-

"Who should you be?" You turned to see

see man with , you assumed, dyed blonde hair , a headband and around his late twenties.

Almost petrified by the serious and stern gaze he directed towards you , which you not so swiftly looked away from, and returning to your more peaceful and happy self after clutching your sleeves ,you answered smiling and with a wave,

"Name's L/N M/N sir! I'm here because I was assigned the assistant coach position" He nodded before a grin replaced his previous expression.

"So you're F/N's son uh? I actually heard about your idol career but never ever watched a concert of yours. That's why I didn't recognize you, sorry. I'm Ukai Keishin, just to let you know." He walked in front of the door before opening it and looking back at you just in time to notice your questioning gaze.

'So he's the friend my father was talking about..

"What? Will you not enter? Want to stay there? Suit yourself."

"NONONONO. I won't stay out here!" With that you entered the building. Being finally able to hear the sound of shoes squeaking against the wood of the floor, of the balls thumping against the gym's floor made you smile almost nostalgically.

Moving your gaze to the player your smile grew even bigger, causing you to forget entirely of the fear you were feeling before. They all looked so happy, and had the same burning gaze of passion in their eyes that you had while playing with your father.

Out of nowhere Ukai started yelling to all the players to gather in front of him, thing that they did instantly.

"Now, you may be wondering why I stopped the practice out of nowhere. Well, you see, we'll be getting an assistant coach starting from today onward. So, treat then well.. Got it?!" He raised his tone at the end, sounding scarier than ever.

You noticed how everyone got a little rigid after that.

'Wait a second.. didn't he forget to tell them that I'm only temporary? He'll probably tell them one of these days.' You thought.

"So.. who's the new assistant coach?" A boy with fluffy orange hair questioned excitedly.

"That would be me! Nice to meetcha!" You exclaimed giving a piece sign with a hand while the other went in your pocket while you smiled brightly.

"I'm L/N M/N, but you can call me M/N, and from today onward I'll be your assistant coach! Hope we'll get along well~"
