→ Chapter 3: Helping out the club (1) ←
The whole situation was awkward, to say the least.
Instead of the warm welcome you usually receive you were welcomed by silence. Stares, blinking but overall silence.
Until something seemed to snap inside your head and you decided to speak.
"What a team you've got Ukai-San," you chuckled covering your mouth with your left hand,"Wish I knew they were so silent though."
The official coach just rolled his eyes while frowning at his team. Since the boys didn't even give a mere sign of getting out of their trance-like state, even after he yelled at them, he decided to do the introductions himself.
He started to name every single player together with their position in game, and man.. were there a lot of names to remember. Too many. You were still able to learn them all at first try though.
At the end of the introduction you got near the blond boy , the one you now noticed was in your class, and spoke:
"Woah! Kuudere-san is a volleyball player~ Such a surprise!"
All your earned was the team finally noticing that they were looking like shocked fishes and a scowl from said blond guy.
"Who did you call kuudere munchkin?" He teased. Nope. If there was one thing you didn't like it would be people joking about your height. Everything but that.
"I called you kuudere. Can't you hear that from up there? Because I can perfectly hear all the stupid things you're saying." Said that you turned and noticed that you were surrounded by the players.
"Ok, I almost got an heart attack. Thanks guys." You sweat dropped a little while laughing awkwardly.
"Are you by any chance that M/N L/N? The idol one?!" The one who you recognized as Hinata shouted, looking at you with brown eyes full of admiration. You nodded in response, unable to form a full sentence as you were taken aback by the excitement of the little guy.

"A-and you're gonna be our coach?!" He seemed more excited than before.
"Well, assistant coach, and yes. I'm gonna be it. Still, call down okay? There's no reason for you to be this excited, I'm only me. A totally normal guy who sings." You corrected with a smile, patting the smaller boy's head and making a bright shade of pink appear on it. That last phrase you added helped to ease some tension there was in the air, that in the end went completely away.
Now that the atmosphere was back to normal, someone decided to speak: "That's strange though, why would you change country and all just to coach us?" You turned your head towards the voice, taking notice of the fact that it came from a perplexed grey haired setter.
"Answering to that question, I just took a pause from idol related activities. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop singing and writing songs , nope, not possible. My parents just wanted me to play volleyball for a while, since they know how much I love the sport." You put an hand in your pocket, "Still, I'm going to practice writing and singing whenever I feel like it."
Time passed like that, with you answering to every player's question without hesitating even once. You found yourself oddly comfortable with the team even If you just met them. It was nice finally being able to talk with people that understood your passions and that for once didn't treat you like you were just an idol. Kai and your family were an exception, sure, but enlarging your amount of friends always was a thing you wanted to do.

"Oi, pack up and remember to clean. It's time to go home already. And get ready for next time, we've got to catch up for today's lost time." Ukai stated, thing that led you to look outside one of the small windows in the gym. Outside you could already see the sun slowly setting. Who knew time could pass this fast.

"Oh, well! Can I help with something?" You asked the captain since he was the nearest.
"You don't have to, you're the coach after all. We can do it on our own." He responded kindly.
"I wasn't doubting you guys.. I just feel like doing something! I'm part of this team too now so, as a member, it's my duty to help with cleaning! Let me do something, please?~" You pouted while puffing out your cheeks. Thing to which Daichi turned away in a way that you couldn't see his face.
"Y-you can help Nishinoya and Tanaka I guess."
"Alright! See ya~" You cheered, running towards the due of second years, wearing your usual carefree expression.
"Nishinoya-senpai, Tanaka-senpai, can I be of any help over here?" You asked nicely, looking around you in search of something to do.
"Yeah, thanks, you couulldd......." Nishinoya started, but didn't end his phrase. Both him and Tanaka snapped their head towards you with fully open eyes.
"S-senpai..?!" That word resonated in their head.

Chronicles of Oryn: Dawn of the Scion
ATTENTION: Since I am currently not happy with the story so far, I have put it on hold for now and will restructure the story as well as adding more characters and story arcs. Most of the already written content will stay the same except for small detail changes. They will only be reorganised into the new content that will be added later. Thank you for understanding! Two run-away best friends who only had each other turned to crime to survive in a harsh and brutal world. In the middle of winter, a promise of treasure of an ancient civilization grabbed their attention, triggering a chain of events that would change their lives forever, and possibly end the world. Main characters: - Kiera Bloodcrest. A commoner young adult human who ran away from her abusive home. - Elynn Dorlana. A young adult princess, banished from elven lands to prove her worth once again among humans with notorious hatred for their kind. This story tackles sensitive subjects such as racism (against a fictional race), parental abuse and extreme violence. Read at your own discretion.

People. Harmony. Dysfunction
[Hiatus]People are extraordinary. They are glorious, chaotic, imaginative, grim, all kinds of smart and driven. They are capable of living in harmony or incredible destruction. They can be both caring and loyal but vicious and self-centred. However, Olivia wished that the first year of her PhD didn't have to showcase quite so much of the melting pot. People. Harmony. Dysfunction. is a story that follows a research group through the drama and challenges life throws at them. It has an (unspecified) modern setting and focuses on the characters. I've tried to rate this pre-emptively, but unfortunately it might change as the story evolves.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!

Princess of Peace [BNHA]
I felt all the color drain from my face and dropped back onto the bed not sure I could stand. "You mean-...I'm a-... father?" Her voice cracked, "I know you weren't ready for a family and its unfair of me to do this to you, but you're the only I trust enough to care for her..." Her?
