《Unfair (Haikyuu X Male!Reader)》1

Waking up unwillingly because of your alarm clock, which now ended up broken on the floor of your room, you ran a hand through your untamed and wild h/c hair trying to at least make them look presentable. And in a way you were able to do so, since they looked pretty neat.. well let's just say they looked normal.
You grunted, lazily going into a sitting position, "And this is a reason why home schooling was definitely better." Waking up in the morning wasn't your thing, and will never be.
Right as you were going to flop back on your comfortable and warm bed your phone rang loudly, almost making you scream from the loudness of your favourite song, f/s , that you used as a ringtone.
Taking the phone in your hand you tapped the green button to answer, moving it near your ear to listen to the heartless monster that dared to disturb you.
"Hello?" You called with the laziest voice you could master.
"M/N! W A K E U P~" A voice answered, "We're going to be late by this pace!" You recognized the voice as the one of Kai and chuckled.
" 'Kay.. We're going to make it on time anyway." You said before closing the call and placing your phone on a drawer.
"Are you sure we're going to make it on time?!" You could hear the voice of your never so patient friend Kai yell from outside your window.
Opening it you looked out, noticing that your friend was indeed there, tapping his feet impatiently on the ground and looking at his wristwatch every now and then.
"I haven't been late once in my life, and I sure am not losing my record today." You spoke loud enough to let him hear your voice and proceeded to close the window.
A soft sound was heard while you searched in your closet for the black uniform you had to wear from that day on in your new school.
Just transferred from America to the Miyagi Prefecture with your friend Kai, who now lived in the house in front of yours, the other day, you were ready to start your high school life at Karasuno... As an assistant coach! In the male volleyball team! How lucky, right?

Taking your newly found uniform and slipping it on in the fastest way possible, and noticing that it actually was a little loose, you grabbed your phone that you placed in a pocket, a pair of headphones that you swiftly plugged in and started to walk down the stairs to the front door of your house. Swiftly grabbing your school bag and slipping your shoes on you exited the house, locking the door, without even bothering saying 'bye' to whoever could be in the house, since you where the only one living there.
Approaching Kai you took notice of how his gaze softened and how a big grin appeared on his face as soon as he saw you.
"And you made it!" He patted your shoulder friendly,"Let's go shall we?" He said all excited. You nodded and smiled.

.
"Um.. Where .. is Karasuno High again..?" He asked out loud, making you sweat drop and almost trip.
"Kai. Are you even serious?" You looked at him with a 'tell me you're joking' kind of face, to which he chuckled nervously in response.
"WEEEELL... You see..," he scratched the back of his neck as he looked at everything but you, "I may or may not have totally forgotten to search where the school is..Ah ah.. Funny, isn't it?"
Silence. Total silence.
He ran some steps ahead of you and spun around so he was facing you while walking backwards, harms behind his head, "Not my fault I've got better stuff to do than looking for the school directions!"
"Catching every single Pidgey and Rattata nearby isn't actually.. you know. Better?"
The boy ran a hand through his blue hair as he looked in your eyes not surprised by your almost emotionless remark.
"Well, sorry if I prefer playing something fun on my phone than looking for some boring stuff." He threw his arms up in the air as you just shook your head chuckling.
"Okay okay..Let's just go, I seriously don't wanna be late on our first day."

'Let's just hope not many people will recognize us..' was your thought as you stopped right in front of a vending machine to get two cartoons of milk for you and your friend before resuming your walk.
*******************************
"Name's L/N M/N, I'm from America and.. yeah. Nice to meet you all, hope we'll get along well." You bowed a little, offering your classmates and the teacher a bright and almost shy smile.
"I'm Kai Hikeda and I'm from America too! I'm happy to be here in Japan and I hope we'll be friends~ Please take care of us both." He did a peace sign before adjusting the eyepatch on his right eye.
Just as your introduction ended you heard some squealing and whispering in the whole room, together with some grunt coming from the blonde haired guy that had the typical kuudere expression. He probably didn't give an absolute nothing about you or what was happening.
What a ray of sunshine he seemed to be, as adorable as a kick in the face.
The muttering continued, as everyone seemed to be able to recognize the two of you after the introduction, this fact seemed to irk the poor teacher.
"Everyone, silence. You'll be able to talk to them after the lesson, now's not the time." They spoke with a stern tone. And thus the lesson started.
With you sitting in the left corner of the room, window to your left and Kai sitting right next to you.
'Of course everyone recognized us. I should stop jinxing stuff.' You sighed, placing your head on your hands as you paid more attention to the light breeze that came from the open window than the lesson of your teacher.
*****************************
' God no. STOP THIS. '
"W-woaah! You both are here for real, this is so cool!" A girl shouted between the ones around you and Kai, nearly breaking your ears.
"Could you please give us an autograph?!" She handed you a notebook which you both signed and handed back with an innocent smile. Internally cringing at the loudness.
"I really love your album! I bought it like.. 5 times?!"
"Please marry me~"
"I feel so lucky to be in your class, aaa-" Girls screamed.
Ok, this was too much. You looked at Kai and he looked back at you. Nodding at each other you flew away, before anyone could react and ended up outside school.
"The second girl had some mental problems.." Your childhood friend sighed, panting a little from the run while you were as cool as ever.
"Fangirls are dangerous." You stated. "I don't mind them but.. If you come in front of me screaming stuff like: PLEASE MARRY ME.. I might just get a little creeped out you know?" He nodded in response.
You both sat on the grass looking at the sky for some minutes. The light sound of the grass and leaves moving and the warm feeling that came thanks to the sunlight were able to make you both forget the almost horror-like encounter you had with those girls.
"Ne, M/N?"
You hummed.
"Shall we visit that volleyball club you just became part of?" At that part you jumped and stood up.
"You're right let's go! It shouldn't be hard to find a gym!"
And with that you both started to walk around, until you found the building you were looking for.
