During Sarah's show, Austin goes straight to John's office wanting to please Sarah request of why Jack was in the dolphin enclosure alone. Austin's face is furrowed in concentration.

Why was Jack there in the first place? What is the guy planning? Something doesn't smell right about him and I might just have to find out myself, for Sarah's sake.

Austin was so lost in thought that he didn't see he arrived at John's office door. Austin knocks and a small 'come in' can be heard on the other side of the door.

Austin enters the room and walks three steps, standing in the back of the soft plush seat. John finishes signing some papers before lifting his head and look at Austin.

Austin's eyebrows are furrowed in concentration and John can see Austin is lost in thought about something. John wonders what got Austin so tense.

"Austin?" the boss addresses him.

Austin gulps down his nerves and starts to speak.

"Jack was at the dolphin enclosure. Alone." John narrows his eyes in confusion and slight anger.

"Why was he there alone?" John's calm voice hides the growing fire in his chest.

That idiot is getting reckless again.

"I don't know. I happen to pass by the dolphin enclosure to make sure they were alright while I was heading to inform Sarah that it was time for her performance." John nods without saying a word.

"The door was open slightly but I heard banging and I sneaked in to see Jack with a bucket and banging the handle to throw a fish at the dolphins." John lowers his gaze to his desk, his jaw set straight and fire enflames in his eyes.

He is going to pay for this.

"The dolphins were screaming in fear but were also circling around Stella who was shrieking and shaking her head. I stopped Jack immediately before he can cause more damage." Austin explains the situation he witnessed at the dolphin tank.

"Did you ask Jack what he was doing?" John says, trying to keep his fury.

"Yeah, and Jack says 'nothing' then walks away. I was going to follow but checked the dolphins first and saw Stella still shaking her head like her head was on fire." an image of Sarah's worried face cross John's mind.

Sarah was very scared of Stella's trauma that day when John introduced her to the creature. The fear in Sarah's eyes pulled so many emotions in John he made sure Sarah never shows that fear again.

John and Austin both care deeply about Sarah. Losing her parents was one thing that stormy day. Alas, having a distraught Sarah coming in for some peace to grief and then hearing the painful shrieking Stella was making. It caused Sarah to be in more trauma and grief than the sea creature.

"Before I left to talk to Sarah I saw Stella dip back in the water and swim to the sand floor shaking. The three other dolphins looked at me like they were hoping, I was going to do something." John hears the quivering fear in Austin's voice.

"What did you do?" John asks seeing Austin come undone at the memory.

"I told the dolphins I was going to go get Sarah and tell her what happened. I promised them all will be alright and I don't know if it will be." Austin walks around the chair he was standing behind and sits down, pulling at his hair with his thin long fingers.

"What did Sarah say or do when you told her?" John already saw from his security cameras what Sarah was doing before Austin got there.

That creature hasn't been here for a few hours and already is making out with Sarah. Sarah is too innocent for this world, the world of her magical blood.

"She made a face across confused and shocked with a bit of anger, I guess. It was too fast for me to get a real picture of her emotions. Especially since she has that fishboy sucking on her skin like a leech!" Austin's eyes burn with jealous fury.

John is not surprised at the love Austin has for Sarah. Austin was the first person besides John to befriend the girl on her first day. Austin also isn't the first person- sorry, male, to fall for the siren.

During the time that Sarah has worked here in the aquarium, Austin continues to fall for her. Although, Austin doesn't know the real Sarah as John does.

The moment Sarah handed in her resume of her wanting to work at the Aquarius Aquarium, the last name Wavers got John curious.

It isn't every day the young Wavers came to work with her mother and see her perform.

So, he searched up the family and couldn't find anything about them except for their jobs and where they live.

During the time Sarah is at the aquarium with the other employers, John headed over to the house and saw the two adults dive in the water.

Nothing out of the ordinary there, but what caught John's eye was when the two adults sat on a big rock away from the rocky shoreline; John saw tails.

The same tail as the merman except in gold colors. John couldn't believe it and a few other sneaks around the home, John finds out the secret of the Wavers family. They are mermaids.

"Thank you, Austin. I will personally have a talk with Jack about this and don't worry Sarah about Jack. Just help her with taking care of Stella." John returns back from memory lane and addresses the boy in front of him.

Austin stands up, nodding without a word, and leaves the office. John leans on his desk with hand-folded tightly and his lips form a tight straight line on his face.

"Grace!" John calls his assistant.

"Yes, sir." She walks in, a black and silver suit showing she is his assistant.

All John's assistants wear black and silver suits. It was John's last call on the suit orders for his staff members when he inherited the aquarium from his father.

"Call Jack Depth in here immediately!" John orders his assistant and she nods scurrying away.

Everyone sees John as a boss and a kind businessman but behind the facade, he is a dark and twisted man who has a slight edge into the riches of the merfolk tales.

John had tried to get the Wavers to give him what he wanted but they refused even when they found out John knows about what they are.

It was their decision and fate to deny me what I want.
