《Since You Been Gone》Chapter 6

Tris P.O.V.
"When is the last time we got to be together without Lucas?" Zeke asks. I shrug and flip through the channels on the television, not able to find anything. Uriah plops down on the couch between Christina and Zeke with a plate of food stolen from my refrigerator. I stop on a Once Upon A Time rerun on ABC.
"Well, I'm sorry that I have a son to take care of. He comes first, you know?" I ask. They all nod and Christina steals a cookie from Uriah's plate and takes a bite from it. Uriah quickly gives her a death glare before turning his attention back to me.
"Tris, he's actually part of the reason we wanted to hang out today. You've kind of became uptight," Christina says. She and Zeke give each other a concerned look. Uriah just eats a handful of some gummies he found in my pantry.
"And Four," Zeke adds. I tense up at his name. We've talked about him very few times in the last year. He has became a subject rarely spoken.
"I'm okay about talking about being uptight about taking care of my son. I am not talking about him, though. I don't care if he is back to stay or not. He is not sneaking his way back into my life," I say. All three stay on my face and send chills down my spine. It causes me to feel very uncomfortable.
"Tris, we need to talk about it. You can't just ignore the idea of him being here," Zeke says. Christina nods in agreement. Uriah just picks around on his plate.
"And you can't fight with him every time you see him," Christina adds. I try to ignore them and pull my legs up to my chest. I turn my attention to the television. An intense battle between two of the main characters takes place on the street. Swords clang against each other, causing the sound of metal hitting each other to travel through the speaker. I'm startled, though, when someone sits next to me on the love seat. I turn my head and Christina is sitting next to me.

"I don't want to talk about this. I've decided I don't want to see him and that is final. He will not have anything to do with Lucas," I say. Christina puts her hand on my back. She rubs circles between my shoulder blades.
"Tris, we understand that this isn't the easiest subject for you but something needs to be done concerning the topic. You can't just ignore the fact that he is your son's father or that um you will always have him in your life," Christina says. I look her in the eyes.
"You all know Lucas. You know he can get easily attached. I don't want him to fall in love and then have his heart ripped out when he has to leave," I say. Christina and Zeke's eyebrows both arch over their eyes. Uriah looks up from his plate.
"Tris, you just to need to forget what happened. He might have left Lucas fatherless but this has taken a different route than other cases that started like yours. He is back and is trying to get into both of your lives. If he didn't care he wouldn't be back," Christina says. I look at Zeke and Uriah. They never act like this.
"Why are you two doing this?" I ask, motioning to Zeke and Uriah. "You never do anything like this, Zeke. And Uriah isn't even helping," I say. Uriah looks at me and shrugs.
"I'm here for moral support. . . And food," he says before picking up the last of his potato chips. The guy is a bottomless pit. I don't know how was able to fit all of that food onto his plate. I look to Christina for a guidance and she just shrugs.
"I am here to help a friend in need. If you or Lucas were in trouble I would be there to help. And it isn't just because I am his god father," Zeke says. Christina reaches over and squeezes my knee with a reassuring shake.

"And I will be, too," Christina adds. I give them both weak smiles, completely ignoring Uriah.
"Tris, will you please give him a chance? He is still a good guy. And Lucas really likes him. He came to hang out with us for a little while last week when Lucas spent the night. He and Lucas made and instant connection," Zeke says. He and Christina both have a look of determination in their eyes. I imagine it means something like 'If you don't do what I say now then I will chew you up, spit you out, cut you into tiny little pieces and sew you back together again.' I would be terrified if I weren't used to seeing.
"I'll be honest with you guys, I want to trust him again. I really do. I just don't know if I can after all that has happened in the last couple of years," I say. I realize now that this is how I feel. At one point in time he would be the person I was trusting to conceal this information. I depended on him to help me. Now, it is hard for me to trust anyone. The person who caused those trust issues definitely won't be able to slip underneath the layer who hides the pain.
"Tris, you don't have to trust him. You don't even have to like him. We just want you to spend a little bit of time with him. We want you to let him and Lucas have time together, too," Christina says. I take a deep breath as I consider their proposal. They are accepting him. Lucas is accepting him. I guess I only have one choice. Accept him.
"Fine. He can see Lucas but one of us have to be with him, too. And, I guess it would be okay if he tags along when it's just us," I say, bringing smiles to the three faces staring back at me.
First of all, sorry it has been so long since the last update. I've been trying to post them as quick as possible but with a new semester starting and having new classes it isn't going to be the easiest. Please tell me if you think I should do more updates that are short or updates that are longer but take more time. I would also like to add that I didn't do the best job at editing because I wanted to update asap. Please comment and vote!

This book is on hiatus and will resume soon.Every hero has their legend. An epic tale of the trials and tribulations that they overcame. These stories will remain long since they’ve departed, cementing their legacy in the annals of history. In the shadows of these glorious heroes, the Librarian observes. Unseen and unnoticed, he records their tales. The System’s power guides him forward, an unending search for his true purpose. Through the myriad of fantasy worlds, a dark truth is hidden from all. As the hundredth successor takes the mantle, the seems of their plot will begin to unravel. This is the standalone sequel to my first book, Colossus’ Dream. Reading the first book is not required. Both books share a universe and plot threads, but they can be read and understood independently from each other.

LiNa was just an average teenage girl, who one day got hit by a flower pot right on the head. How “lucky” was that? When LiNa woke up, she was not in a hospital bed but an unknown world full of demons, mythical creatures, endless danger, and…lots of sweet potatoes. Oh, she ended up in the Land of Ruins which was one of the most barren places on this so-called Aniesian Continent, and forced herself to forget the taste of meat. She was on the way to exchange for some sweet potatoes when came across a dead young man. In a crazy blizzard, she used almost every single cell in her body to drag him home, leaving a trail of red blood across the fluffy snow, which later on…he rewarded her with a stick on the head! Right on the same spot where the flower pot hit her. Never have I seen such an ungrateful person! Better not let me see him again! And guess what? He was very much stuck with her for some time, or even....the rest of her life. How could LiNa survive these harsh conditions, babysit that icy-cold-face person, and overcome all the challenges to become a legendary ten-winged immortal?
8 152Wanna Join a Band? (TodoBakuDeku)
Izuku Midoriya was a college student, just trying to get his teaching degree. He had been living in the sam duplex house for a year now and hadn't had any problems with the elderly woman who lived below him. She was a quiet and lovely neighbor. Until she died. Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki were the two guys that moved in below Izuku. They were also in a band. A very loud band. Izuku was close to going crazy with all the noise he now had to live with and the two wouldn't quiet down, even after he asked, multiple times. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males.Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"
