"Mommy, do you know Mr. Four?" Lucas asks. I nod as I place a pair of his pajamas in the duffle bag that sits on the bed next Lucas. He swings his legs back and forth with his head is tilted.
"Yes, I do know Mr. Four. We used to be very good friends," I say. He nods and picks up a stuffed bear off of his bed. He places the teddy bear into the duffle bag, leaving a spot open on the Cars sheets.
"Why aren't you still friends? He seemed really cool," Lucas says. I just shrug and continue to place clothes in his overnight bag for Zeke's house tonight.
"Well, you know how Shauna, Marlene, and Lynn only get to see you over the summer and over the holidays?" I ask. Shauna, Marlene, and Lynn got into a school in California. They have told me the name several times but I've never heard of it. Lucas nods his head. "Well, they left to go to school. He had to leave to go to school. The thing that made us no longer be friends was that he didn't tell anyone the truth about going. When he got there, no one could talk to him," I explain.
"That isn't very nice," he says. I nod and sit next to him on the bed.
"No. It isn't very nice. Do you want to take any books or movies?" I ask. He nods and gets off the bed. He walks over to the bookshelf that is placed against the blue wall. He pulls out a few and looks at the pictures on the covers before bringing them to me.
"Does he like football? I think I've seen him on Uncle Zeke's t.v," Lucas says. I nod and place his books his the bag so they won't get messed up.

"He does like football. He left to go play for Northern Illinois. I've heard that he is really good at it," I say. Lucas nods his head as he digs around in one of the crates on the shelf he has for his toys. He pulls out a handful of race cars and hands them to me. I place them in the duffle bag as well.
"Do you think he would help Uncle Zeke teach me how to play?" Lucas asks. I shrug even though I am silently pleading that he won't do it. That he will go back to where he came from. I don't know what happened to him after I left Christina's house yesterday. I assume he went back to Northern Illinois.
"I'm not sure. He might not be here anymore. He is really busy with football," I say. He nods before walking into our living room to look through our movies.
I stay on Lucas's bed while he looks for movies and think about these questions. I don't mean to upset him. He is an adorable child and I love him, I really do. I just feel like this is what's best for him. I don't want him to get to attached. I was and it's what killed me when he left. If he wanted to be in Lucas's life he shouldn't have left. Or at least not the way he did.

"Is she gone?" I ask Zeke as he comes into the living room. He and Lucas sit down on the couch as Zeke nods.
"Yeah. Lucas, Have you met Mr. Four, yet?" Zeke asks the toddler. He nods and waves at me.
"Yes. He was at Aunt Christina's house. He watched Peter Pan with me," Lucas says. Zeke nods again.

"Is it okay if he crashes our party? We can kick him to the curb if you want," Zeke offers. Lucas shakes his head.
"No. I think it would be okay if he stays. As long as he is likes our movies," Lucas says. I laugh and their gazes move towards me.
"I think I'll like your movies, little man," I say. Lucas get up off the couch and walks towards me. He grabs my hand and tries to pull me up. I get up and sit in the floor where he shows me.
"Stay here. If you move before I'm back you'll get in trouble and Zeke will make you stand in the corner," Lucas says. I crack a smile and look at Zeke who is still on the couch.
"I think I could take him. He is kind of weak," I say. Zeke gasps while Lucas and I laugh.
"You're right. I'll have to put you in the corner," I laugh.
"Okay. That scares me much more than Zeke," I say. Lucas laughs before he walks out of the living room. When he returns, he has a duffle bag. He opens it up and takes out a pile of movies, books, and toys. He puts the books and movies on the entertainment center with the television. Then, he lines up stuffed animals, matchbox cars, and monster trucks.
"Do you want to meet my animals? They all have names and stuff," Lucas says. I nod and Lucas starts pointing at animals, starting with a stuffed bear named Stuffingsworth.
I'm sorry it's been so long since the last update... I mean, it hasn't been that long but I try to update everyday. I've just kind of had writers block for this chapter so it's shorter than the others. Please comment and vote!

Overseer
From the nothingness I appeared. Bodiless, voiceless, ageless, I have only thoughts and emotions to guide me. My one connection to the world lies in the hearts of a small colony of lizards, just on the cusp of maturing. I reach out to them without hands, inspiring them to be more than what they are, shaping their bodies from visions of lost memories. But where do the memories come from? I am always left with more questions than answers. In my lonely shapeless existence the lizards cannot hear my words, and they cannot feel my touch, and I must wonder, do I even really exist? --- Called emotional, abstract, and beautiful by readers, this story is an observational account of a disembodied entity that has the power to influence and change a race of mildly intelligent lizard creatures. Memories of a previous life often serve as inspiration, but also generate questions as to whom the entity might have been before it became an Overseer. Aethernum—Cradle of Yore
Diary Number 999, year I-don't-care, location home. Parenting. Of all I've found clear answers except for this most mundane topic. And not for the lack of trying. My library, so humongous my good friends told me one after the other there is no book it doesn't contain helped little. There are crumbling tomes of ancient magic, vocabularies depicting the evolution of the magical language itself, grimoires and holy bibles of cults long past, rows and rows filled with scrolls bearing the efforts of my magical research, contracts, diaries, letters and more. But parenting? There was none. Yet a struggle nearly every member of the Races is not foreign to. I...must have lived under a rock. Across aeons no less. What a humbling revelation.

I Am, Lloyd Garmadon.
This is an AU where Lloyd never wanted to be like Garmadon, but Garmadon wants it to be like father like son. Also, to be clear, unless it's stated by me in an author's note, or the star I use to sign my drawings or painting is on the art, I probably found it on Pinterest and in no way mean to take credit for someone else's art.
