《Lose Myself》Chapter Sixteen Part Two: Bonding

"Goodnight!" Claire shouted from the bottom of the stairs, I smiled at her and waved.
I had secretly dreaded this part of the night, finding out whether or not I'll be sleeping with Dominic – in the non-sexual related sense of course. I felt the blood rush to my face. Well at least he wasn't walking up with me, which would give me enough time to take a shower and mentally prepare myself.
Thinking back to tonight the only hiccup was with Clarissa, which was expected but I had no idea that this family was so wonderful. A number of women, aunts and cousins of Dominic's came up to me and made small talk. A few of them made promise to spend time with me later, the majority let me know that Clarissa was indeed a b-tch and that didn't need any of my input. It's funny really, they allow a daughter of the Russian familia to hang around them because?
Yes she was going to marry Dominic for cooperative purposes but it was agreed that I was going to do that, then there's the fact that she is a close family friend but no one likes her? Just doesn't add up to me. It's obvious the Russians have obvious beef with the Italians, Vince has obvious beef with Dominic but he wants Dominic to marry his sister?
"Hey," Dominic said. He closed the door behind him and dropped his jacket on the armchair, I watched his every move as he rolled the sleeves of his dress shirt and fell backwards onto the bed folding his arms behind him.
I hadn't realised that I had sat on the end of the bed and was simply staring ahead this entire time, I tend to space out when I am trying to figure something out. I cleared my throat.
"What?" Dominic lay with his eyes closed and his nostrils flaring.
"Stairs tire you out?"
"No," he snorted, "I was jerking off in the bathroom."
"Gross." I cringed.
"I'm kidding." He turned to look at me.
"Well it," I blew a hair out of my face, "wasn't very funny."
He went back to laying and breathing, and I sat looking ahead once again.
"Dominic."
"Something on your mind?"
"Why does Clarissa even come here? She's Russian isn't she?"
"Clarissa has been a close part of our family since I was three, I honestly would've left by now if I was her but it's no secret Clarissa and her entire family are thirsty for power and money."
"So you were going to marry her even though you knew she had bad intentions."
"Sì," he sighed, "But only because we would benefit from the alliance. No other reason. Clarissa is a b-tch."
"Agreed." I shuffled, "Doesn't her brother hate you though?"
"And I him," he sat up, "I hate him because he killed my older brother, he hates me because I won't marry his sister."
"You had a brother?"
"Sì," he fell backwards again, "Luca was three years older than me, and he'd be 29 right now."
"Oh," I turned to face him, folding my legs underneath me, "I'm sorry."
"It's in the past." His eyelids fluttered a little and I knew he was watching my reaction. I wonder if that's how he is about death, it's all in the past. When he kills, it's in the past too.
"Well," I flipped onto my stomach, "For the record, I'd kill his sister if you asked me to."

He chuckled.
--------------------
I could already feel the pins and needles in my hands, I'd fallen asleep on them. I felt something move on my abdomen and looked down to find Amara spooning me with half her body on top of my torso. We were both still wearing the clothes from last night. Though surprisingly her hair was still perfect, her dress had ridden up. A lot. Curse her cute obsession with Victoria Secret underwear, though her choice for last night was nothing less than alluring.
I tried to move but then she just readjusted to the exact same spot, I sighed. I couldn't deny the fact that this was incredibly cute, her arm was thrown over my body and the other supported her head on my stomach. She had one leg linked in between mine and the other lay next to it, the entire length of her body was in contact with my entire body as well and it was becoming a growing arousal.
She took a deep breath her breasts rubbing on my chest then moved again closer, and I'd just about had enough. I tapped her head, she didn't respond, then again. She wouldn't wake up. I tapped her head for the third time.
"Can you not?" she mumbled. Her accent was much more accentuated in the morning, I had to stop myself from smiling.
"Buongiorno. I-uh I need to get up now. Per favore?" I whispered.
Her eyes flew open, I raised a brow. One by one each of her limbs flew off me like I was burning hot coal, she rolled off the bed and stood.
"That was an extremely weird maneuver and I'm going to take a shower now." I said getting up and walking past her, "You should get ready to go. Prenditi il tuo tempo."
"What?" I heard her mumble under her breath before closing the bathroom door.
I can't believe I fell asleep on him! I had planned on asking whether or not I sleep in his bed or somewhere else, I didn't think I'd fall asleep let alone ON TOP OF HIM!
I rubbed my temple and let out a strange sound, after a solid few minutes of feeling humiliated I got up and found the suitcase with my workout gear in it. I heard the bathroom door open and close, I kept my attention elsewhere. Wouldn't want the same thing that happened last time to happen again now would we?
"Amara," Dominic's voice sounded strained, "You know you can unpack your things into the wardrobe right? That's why it's half empty."
"Half full."
"I can just do it for you..." To hell I'd let him even get close to my underwear.
"No!" I breathed out, "No thank you."
"Quello che vuoi principessa." He sang before walking into the wardrobe.
"I don't know what that means." I mumbled. I grabbed my stuff then entered the shower, after about five minutes I was exiting the bathroom to find Dominic laying on the bed holding his phone up. He wore a grey sleeveless tank, and black shorts with black nikes. He flipped to his side and rested his head in his palm.
"Si guarda bel bambino." he purred. I blushed.
"You know I don't know what you're saying." I sighed.
"I can teach you." he smiled.
"Can you teach me how to make pizza?" I know I looked like an idiot saying this, the fact that I was hopping a little didn't help my case either.

He chuckled, "Okay. Let's go." He got up and walked to the door, holding it open for me.
"To make pizza?" I literally sound like a five year old but I get a pass, my childhood years were cut short.
"No," he laughed, "To the gym."
I groaned.
"We can make pizza after."
"Okay."
Is it possible for a woman to look that good in just workout clothes?
The tight clothing hugged every curve and the sports bra didn't make her breasts look any smaller as she pulled a long-sleeved over-shirt on top. I couldn't help but stare at her firm ass as her hips swayed with each step. She was wearing Nike from head to toe, Nike bra, Nike over-shirt, Nike tights and Nike Roshes. Her hair was in a high pony tail and was still wavy from last night and she held in her hand a pair of sunglasses and her phone.
After walking for about a minute she spoke up, "You know, I don't think I need to workout. We can just get straight to the pizza."
"I always try that tactic." I snorted then mimicked, "I don't think I need to have dinner, we can just get straight to the sex." She glared at me, I smiled at her, "But I don't get my way, so you don't either."
"You're unbelievable." she shook her head.
"You know it baby," I opened the door to the gym. She gave me a dirty look before striding past me and into the room. Often times its in use but luckily today it was empty.
We started off with stretches, which definitely got me excited then we moved onto basic cardio. Star jumps, sit ups, push ups, squats and so on, all of which made her harder and harder to ignore. After the cardio we began combat.
Grunts echoed off the walls as limb after limb made contact, she was blocking all my attacks but I was also blocking hers. I had been modest at the beginning but she soon caught on and started hurting me so I had to get my game up. Somehow she's gotten me at a murderous point and we're still blocking it off.
"Stop," I blocked, she attacked, "Cock blocking." I attacked, she blocked. She glared at me. Honestly if we didn't beat each other to death I'm sure dehydration and fatigue would, but it didn't look like either of us were man enough forfeit.
"Let's move on." I blocked then held her fist. She simply shrugged before removing her bandages, I did the same but watched her as she squirted water from her bottle and into her mouth. Tiny droplets slid down her chin and dropped into her bra.
"Quit staring. You've been staring this whole time." She put one hand on her hip the other looking like it was about the throw the bottle at my head.
"I can't help it." I shrugged before squirting water into my own mouth and I guess we're even since she was staring too.
We were stretching again, preparing for combat when the usual twelve o'clock crowd piled in. Within our familia, people tended to make smaller groups as if we were attending an academy and in those groups they performed various tasks. Outings, jobs and workouts were the few I knew of, the rest could be anything. Even orgies.
"Boys," I flung the towel I'd been wiping my sweat with over my shoulder, "You're just in time." The confused looks passed over quickly as Amara came back from the break room, we'd separated to prep for combat. Now they're faces were frozen in looks of awe and lust, not very wise around me. "Tell me," I stepped back and wrapped my arm around Amara's waist, "Which one of you would like to verse Amara here, in combat."
Eyes widened, peeling themselves from Amara's body and adjusting to my daring gaze. I knew what they thought, attempting to harm my supposed girlfriend would give me rights in the mafia justice system to snap their necks on the spot. I wouldn't be faulted and of course they'd be dead.
God I'm sore all over. Is this man on steroids?
I stood tense as Dominic continued to speak, his arm was still wrapped around my waist and I was beyond uncomfortable. "So?" he questioned. The men were standing there dumbfounded, I bet their biggest regret of the day was even showing up to this hell hole. I smiled a little, I hoped it looked nice because I don't want to train with Dominic anymore.
'Since you're spending the day with me. I figured if we have one thing in common its...'
I thought about what he said yesterday, would he be upset if I told him training with him sucks? It can't possibly be the only thing we have in common. I bet we both like pizza. We should go make pizza now. I looked up at Dominic, he was now talking to only one of the guys and the rest had dispersed to their own activities. I tugged his arm gently which had left my waist leaving a cold presence. He looked down at me. I smiled, "Can we go make pizza now?"
He chuckled, "Okay."
His eyes briefly flicked over to a man standing just near us, I held back from taking a peak myself and acted oblivious. I grabbed my stuff whilst Dominic took his, the man was smiling a little. Had he heard that we were making pizza and found it amusing? They were Italian after all.
Dominic led me out and we headed back in the direction of our room. That sounds good, 'our' room. I smiled a little to myself before asking, "Who was that man that was staring at us?"
"That was my father."
"Why didn't you introduce me?" I put both hands on my hips, "He must think I'm awfully rude."
"No he doesn't think that of you. He knows it is me who is rude." Dominic pulled a funny face. I giggled.
"Okay then," I said, "When are you going to introduce me to him? I don't see him around often..."
"He seldom comes out of his office, I'll introduce you when the time is right I guess." Dominic replied opening the door to the bedroom, I walked past contemplating what he was saying. Dominic dropped his stuff on the armchair, bad habit. He turned to me, "Amara."
"Hmm." I hummed whilst dropping my towel in the hamper.
"What do you think about our," he cleared his throat, "relationship?"
I blushed but didn't make eye contact, "Uh, what do you mean?"
"If I were to talk about you to someone else, what would I call you?"
"Well first of all," I turned to look at him, "That's called talking sh-t and second of all, I don't know. Whatever you want to I guess."
"That wasn't very helpful and do not worry when I do, I speak highly of you." He smiled. I had to stop myself from giving him a hug, but I gave in to the smile tugging at my lips.
"Well," I stretched, "Cool." I mumbled.
He was still looking at me with a pretty smile on his face, I looked at him then quickly looked away. "Okay now why are you staring at me?"
"Because you're beautiful."
"Is that so?" I replied a little softer than intended, I sounded almost out of breath.
"Sì."
"Thanks, you are beautiful too." I whispered.
He chuckled, "Men are not called beautiful Amara. Handsome, hot, sexy, gorgeous maybe."
"Well you are. Deal with it." I sneered grabbing my toiletries bag and backing up into the bathroom then closing the door behind me. I turned around and leaned on it sliding down to the ground.
Did he just ask me what I was to him and I replied with 'whatever you want'? Pathetic. I should've said something direct, something I wanted. I want, I want to be his...
Deal with it.
I smiled to myself.

High school life in a world where everyone has superpowers
So, um... how do I explain this simply? Okay, so... There's a girl, she's er... She's in high school, and, um... She has a superpower that mutes things? Also she lives? Yeah, sorry. The concept's too confusing isn't it? Warning: The stuff below is technically correct, but this fiction, with my other, is now on the failed pledge list. Shocking how a lack of updates for more than half a year actually meant something... Sorry for the delay, still not really up to writing for this series as of now (14/03/18 - remember I'm english, so correct) but I'm still trying to get into writing... Cover is thanks to Zenlith (WriTE's Founding Member). This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Updates: up in the air... hopefully the day after this is edited, but we all have dreams. Warning for mild profanity, but it shouldn't happen too much for the innocent out there so don't take the warning to heart.

Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
