There may come a point in your life when you experience sorrow; when you have been disappointed by other people so many times that you do not know if there is any person you can trust; when you cry yourself to sleep at night as despondent thoughts consume your mind; when you question your own existence, feeling as if you do not belong. 

Even the happiest person has their moments of sadness. Pain is an inevitable part of this life. Even if we exert a great deal of effort to avoid experiencing such negative emotions, they will always find their way into our hearts at times.

However, does this cycle of one problem after another mean that there is no light at the end of the tunnel? When we experience hardship, is this a sign that we are all doomed to an eternal abyss of agony and tribulation?

We should always remember the One to Whom we can turn to, that is, our Lord Almighty God.

I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help will come from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let you fall; your protector is always awake.

If we place our complete trust in the Father and remain loyal to Him, He will never forsake us. He will never allow us to be led astray or overcome by trial.

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

─ Psalm 55:22 New International Version 

Hence, let us always put our hope in the Most High, that wherever we may go, we will never be shaken. Our hearts shall not quiver in despair; our minds shall be free of timorous thoughts; and our souls shall be given comfort amid these uncertain times.
