《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Twenty Two

After everyone's internships were over, classes resumed as normal. Thanks to Recovery Girl my injuries were all healed but I still felt sore if I tried to move around too much and I was tired constantly. It had gotten so bad I'd fallen asleep during class with Present Mic and woke up to find myself in the teacher's lounge bundled up in a pink princess sleeping bag that had appeared out of nowhere during my recovery.

After one of our hero classes with Dad, Jiro caught Mineta trying to peep in the girl's locker room. She said he was saying some lewd things about all the girls. She'd been planning on using her quirk to poke him in the eye with her earphone jack when he tried to peer through the peephole but didn't get the chance as the hole was suddenly filled with cloudy ice. It had been so intense the entire wall had turned cold. There was a chorus of shouts from the boy's locker room followed by an explosion and we heard Mineta go flying out into the hallway, it sounded like Bakugo had kicked him out.

Since we'd all been studying hard for our exams, Midoriya suggested we all go out as a class and do something fun together to unwind so nobody got burnt out from studying too much. The weekend before finals we were all going to meet up at a mall and spend the day together as a class. I was a little nervous as I'd never really gone out with a group of friends before, since I'd never really had friends before coming to UA.

Dad seemed more nervous than I was and tried to convince me to wear baggy sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt. It was going to be much too hot for that. I settled on a pair of lavender shorts and a cute sea foam green top with pretty geometric designs in a soft lavender color. It wasn't too cutesy or revealing, in my opinion but Dad still had a minor freak out before saying it was fine. He'd been planning on taking me himself, but I was worried he'd draw too much attention and pleaded with him to let me go on my own.

As I was getting ready to leave, there was a knock at the door. Dad went to answer it as if he'd been expecting someone to arrive. Maybe he and Naomasa were going to spend the day together since I was going out with my classmates.

"Young Midoriya! What a pleasant surprise!" Dad's voice was way too loud for this to be a 'pleasant surprise'.

I peered around him and saw Midoriya standing on our doorstep looking nervous. "H-hey All Might." His face was bright red and he was stammering more than usual, "I thought I'd w-walk with Amy to the station." He smiled nervously.

I looked between the pair of them curiously as I saw Dad try to slyly give Midoriya a thumb's up for remembering his lines. "Dad...if you were worried and wanted me to walk with Izuku, you could have just said something..." I giggled softly causing them both to jump.

"Ah—whatever do you mean Princess? This is a complete surprise." Dad laughed nervously.

I shook my head at this and peered around him at the red faced Midoriya, "Good Morning Izuku."

His face turned even redder, "g-good morning!" He practically screamed at me before covering his burning face with his arms.

"Did you have breakfast already?" I asked him curiously.

"Ah...n-no, I was worried about being late..." He trailed off in a mumble fit, I thought I heard him say something about not needing to leave an hour early and wondered if he'd just been pacing around in our front yard until he was able to knock on the door.

"We have time, I can make you something—" I began but paused as Dad made some kind of strange choking sound. I thought I heard him say something about 'oh no, a home cooked meal, what do I do?' but it was too mumbled for me to make out clearly. "Um...are you two okay?" I asked worried, they were both being stranger than usual.

I wondered if this had anything to do with the talk, they'd had the other day. Or perhaps Dad just enlisted the help of the boy he trusted most to keep other boys away from me? Would he do that? I sighed inwardly as I realized he definitely would do that. Midoriya idolized him so much he'd agree to do anything for him. I'd have to put him to the test to find out if that were the case as neither of them seemed like they were going to own up to it.

"Yep, perfectly fine." Dad offered me a not so reassuring smile before kissing the top of my head and ushering me toward the door, "have fun and be safe." He smiled down at me. As I slipped on my shoes I caught him throwing some kind of signal to Midoriya it looked like he was texting on an invisible phone while also making special ops hand motions for keeping eyes on something.

I had a feeling he was telling Izuku to keep an eye on me and report to him periodically throughout the day. After I'd gotten injured during the internship, Dad kind of went into helicopter parent mode, he didn't like letting me leave his sight. I knew this class outing was going to be too much for him. Maybe I should stay home so Midoriya could actually enjoy himself.

"Princess?" Dad looked down at me worried, I must have revealed something on my face.

"Do you want me to stay home?" I asked softly.

"Huh?" He stared down at me wide eyed, "I want you to do what you want to do Princess." He placed a gentle hand atop my head, "if you want to go have fun with your friends, then I want you to do that."

I hesitated, "but you're worried."

"I'll always worry about you." Dad chuckled starting to ease up a little.

"Will you always be worried enough that you'll ask Izuku to keep an eye on me?" I asked him curiously causing them both to pale.

"Ah- what are you talking about, Princess?" Dad laughed nervously.

I frowned.

Dad let out a sigh, "she was right, as usual, I can't get anything by you." He pulled me in for a hug, "sorry, Princess, I just want to make sure you're safe. Will you let me go overboard for a bit?"

I hugged him back and nodded. After the worry I'd put him through, it was the least I could do to let him go a little overboard in his worried doting.

Dad reluctantly let me make breakfast for Midoriya as a thank you for him indulging him and watching over me. After breakfast, Midoriya and I walked to the station. As we were walking, I noticed him keeping a distance between us and rapidly typing on his mobile device. Was he sending Dad a constant stream of reports?

It was still early enough in the morning there was a chill in the air. I shivered a little and rubbed my hands on my bare arms in an attempt to warm myself up. Warmth suddenly enveloped me and I jumped as I realized someone had joined me on the sidewalk causing Izuku to let out some kind of panicked sound. Did Dad tell him not to let anyone get too close to me to? This was going to make for a very awkward class outing. I turned curiously and felt my cheeks begin to redden as I spotted a familiar boy with two toned hair, Shoto Todoroki.

"Ah—Good morning, Todoroki." I bowed politely in greeting before I realized the warmth was radiating from him. "Th-thank you." I added shyly.

"Good morning." He replied monotonously and gave me a curious look in response to my thanks.

"Shoto! We weren't done talk—." Endeavor exited a nice car that had come to a stop along the sidewalk, he paused and frowned when he spotted me.

"Eep!" An involuntary squeak of terror escaped me.

His teal eyes narrowed and I noticed a vein in his temple begin to twitch.

I hurriedly bowed my head apologetically and took a shaky step back almost bumping into Midoriya in the process. "S-sorry...good m-morning, Sir." I tried to make amends with a polite greeting but it came out unsteady.

Todoroki looked back at me curiously, "you're scaring her." He scowled at his father.

Endeavor's face turned a little red with rage, "what the hell is so damn scary?!" He snapped and involuntary tears started to well in my eyes. His eyes widened and it looked like he was struggling to keep himself from snapping further.

Todoroki cast a curious glance in his father's direction before turning to me. He noticed I had taken a few steps away and I thought I saw his expression darken for a moment. He shrugged it off before motioning for me to continue on my way. I chanced a glance at Midoriya who was trying to multitask and fill in something in his hero notebook while simultaneously trying to type up a message on his phone, I assumed a report to Dad. It didn't appear to be going well as he was about to lose his hold on everything. He paused as he sensed my gaze, his face reddened and he tucked his notebook away before moving to follow me.

I managed a polite bow to Endeavor and continued walking down the sidewalk only to jump as Todoroki fell in to step beside me, completely ignoring his father. Endeavor sighed as we were all about to pass him by. He ran one of his big hands through his crimson hair and let out a loud aggressive huff.

"Fine, all of you get in the car." He growled.

I paled and before I could stop myself blurted the first thing that came to mind to try to get out of this situation, "Dad said I shouldn't accept rides from strangers."

Todoroki made an odd choking sound and covered his mouth to conceal a laugh, Midoriya let out a horrific squeal caught between a laugh and a panicked cry. Endeavor looked livid; his face had turned a deep plum color. He didn't even say a word, he just angrily pointed at the nice car behind him.

I hesitated.

Endeavor snapped, "I am not a stranger now get in the car!"

I reflexively flinched at his outburst and lost control of my quirk as a few tears spilled down my cheeks. The fire hydrant on the sidewalk began to rattle, the car behind Endeavor slowly lifted off the ground. Endeavor reached over and placed a hand on the hood of the car to keep it from flying off.

"EEP!" Midoriya panicked and scrambled over to me as the lamppost we were standing under also began to rattle as it tried to lift off the ground. "It's okay, Amy." He was a jittery mess, "I'm calm, you're calm, everyone is calm."

Todoroki glanced at his father who appeared to be struggling to not snap at me further. He chuckled quietly to himself before taking a step toward me. I jumped as he dropped his hand atop my head and ruffled my hair. It was so startling and not something I'd ever expect him to do that my quirk just stopped, everything stopped rattling and the car returned to the ground.

Endeavor opened the door to the backseat without a word and stepped aside so we could all get into the fancy car. It was a very long, awkward and quiet ride to the mall where we were meeting up with the rest of our class. By the time we reached the mall, Endeavor only looked slightly red in the face as he'd managed to calm down. I squeaked out an apology and a thanks for the ride before scurrying away in terror. Midoriya fumbled through a thank you and bolted after me leaving Todoroki alone with his father.

It didn't take him long to catch up to us. I'd stopped running once we got inside the mall and paused to catch my breath. It was warmer inside the mall then it was outside for which I was grateful, I hadn't expected it to be so chilly. It was almost summer; it should be warmer.

Once Todoroki caught up, I offered him an apologetic bow, "I'm sorry."

He looked to me curiously, "for what?"

"I didn't mean to be rude to you or your dad—."

His hand dropped onto my head again and I looked up at him in wonder, "it's alright, I thought it was amusing." He shrugged.

"H-huh?" I squeaked. Midoriya looked panicked about our closeness. Dad must have told him not to let anyone get too close to me.

"There they are!" I heard Mina's voice cheer from nearby, "Amy!" She ran to me and caught me in a hug. "Come on! There's an adorable shop you'll just love, it has so many cute little plushies!"

"A-Ah! W-wait!" I panicked as she started dragging me off, "shouldn't we see what everyone else wants to do first?"

Mina paused for a fraction of a second, "guys, can we show Amy the cute plushie store first?!"

All the girls giggled and were in agreement. None of the boys seemed to care and we all made our way, as a class, to the plushie shop Mina had found. The shop clerks looked momentarily alarmed by the horde of teenagers but upon realizing we were UA students didn't seem to mind in the slightest that we'd arrived in such a large group. Mina pulled me through the entrance and I paused as I saw rows upon rows of adorable plushies, they had every animal and mythical creature known to man in plushie form. It was a plushie paradise.

The girls all tagged along with me as I perused the aisles. Most of the boys waited near the entrance looking very out of place. As I was about to turn the corner to go down the second aisle, Mineta jumped out holding up a very lifelike looking snake plush. An involuntary scream escaped me and I accidentally waved my hand sending him and the plush snake flying, they smacked into an already annoyed looking Bakugo who quickly turned irate.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" He roared causing Mineta to let out a panicked scream and to run away in terror. Bakugo turned his rage filled crimson eyes in my direction but his gaze softened after a moment. He folded his arms across his chest and looked away.

"Ugh that creep." Jiro grumbled under her breath as Mineta was scolded by one of the shopkeepers and told to put the snake back. "I wish Bakugo had blown him up."

All the other girls nodded their agreement.

"Ah...I think maybe that would have been a bit too harsh." I squeaked. "I think I should apologize to him I didn't mean to make him go flying."

"He doesn't deserve your apology!" All the girls cried causing me to jump.

"Oh..o-okay." I squeaked and continued looking through the aisles.

As I was looking around, I spotted a cute bunny rabbit plush wearing an All Might costume I reached for it thinking I should get it for Dad but then wondered if it was weird to get him a rabbit that was dressed up as him. Would Dad like something like that? I thought for a moment, he'd probably rather have something that reminded him of me, there was a bunny rabbit next to it with a familiar baby blue costume. My eyes widened...I was in cute bunny form...there was a sign in front of the display that said The Might Family. My cheeks reddened and I grabbed one of each before shyly running to the counter to pay hoping none of my classmates would see the display.

I reached the counter and heard a squeal from Toru. "THEY HAVE PRINCESS MIGHT BUNNIES!"

My face was burning hot as I reached the register and handed the kind lady behind the counter the bunnies. She took one look at my face and smiled. I heard some of the boys join the girls in the aisle and resisted the urge to groan and hide myself behind a display near the register. The clerk laughed quietly and put my purchases in a dark bag that couldn't be seen through for which I was grateful. When I opened my wallet to get the money to hand to her I sighed as I realized Dad had put his credit card in my wallet.

We left the plush paradise and I noticed some of my classmates had also gotten purchases without my knowing. The most surprising was Todoroki and Bakugo, I didn't expect either of them to be into plushies...and I couldn't think of Bakugo buying a gift for someone. We went to a few other stores before stopping at the food court for lunch.

After lunch I noticed Mineta and Kaminari huddled together talking in hushed tones and pointing to the movie theater across from the food court. They finished their huddle and walked back to our table.

"Hey guys, how about we catch a movie?" Kaminari suggested.

"Oh, that sounds fun, what movie should we see?" Yaoyorozu asked curiously.

"Hatchet hand part 3 came out last weekend." Mineta pointed to a very gory looking movie poster near the ticket kiosk, there was blood and severed limbs everywhere.

My stomach churned unpleasantly and I felt my heart begin to pound in my chest. I must have revealed some level of horror on my face as everyone looked over at me worriedly.

Yaoyorozu frowned, "I don't think that's a good choice." She looked over at me, her brows furrowed and she gave me a very motherly look as she tried to assess if I was alright or not without drawing too much attention.

"Oh! I know!" Toru squealed, "how about that one!" She pointed in the direction of the movie theater but as we couldn't really see her hands, we had no idea where exactly she was pointing to.

Ojiro laughed nervously, "ah, which one?"

"Oh, right." Toru giggled as she remembered she was invisible and none of us could see her, "what about Fantastic Floof and Friends in Paris."

All the guys turned to stare at her as if she'd suddenly sprouted a second head...although she was invisible and could very well have two heads and none of us would know...

"Why the hell would we see that? It's for babies." Bakugo growled angrily.

Iida stood up and pondered both options, "Fantastic Floof and Friends in Paris is suitable for all ages and would be an appropriate choice." He thoughtfully analyzed the movie for a moment before declaring, "it's the perfect choice."

I knew those in favor of Fantastic Floof and Friends in Paris were only doing so for my benefit and offered them all a bright smile, "it's okay, you don't have to watch a movie you don't want to for me, you guys go ahead and watch whatever movie you want, I can wait in the lob—ow!" I cut off with a yelp of pain as Bakugo grabbed me by the back of my shirt and nearly pulled me backward off the bench causing me to bite my tongue.

"Shut up, crybaby." He grumbled as he dragged me out of my seat and pulled me toward the movie theater. The rest of the class ran after us.

"Bakugo! Let her go!" The girls yelled.

Kirishima was trying to be helpful and reassuring, "I'm sure it'll be a great movie, guys, there's that one cat that's super manly, it can't be too bad."

"Right." Came a few groaning responses.

Bakugo turned me loose once we got in the queue for the ticket kiosk and I was quickly intercepted by Jiro and Yaoyorozu who shot scathing looks at him. Bakugo reached the ticket counter first and looked beyond pissed. He was ready to snap at any moment.

"What movie will you be seeing today?" The attendant at the window asked him with a bright smile.

"THE STUPID FANTASTIC FLOOF AND FRIENDS IN PARIS!" He snarled irately at the attendant. His voice was so loud several children began to cry and everyone in the food court stared in his direction.

The attendant fell backward off her stool with an alarmed yelp. After she recovered from his outburst, she hurriedly handed him a ticket, I wasn't even sure if she had charged him in her panic. The majority of the class was snickering at Bakugo's outburst.

After everyone got their tickets, we made our way to the concessions for snacks and soda. On our way to the correct theater where the movie was being shown, an attendant stopped by to give us all cheap flimsy promotional crowns that looked like cat ears. Each one in a different color to represent a different member of the cast of Floof and Friends. It was an adorable children's television series about a group of brightly colored cats that solved mysteries.

Bakugo looked like he was going to blow up the poor attendant who'd placed a crown with bright pink kitty ears atop his head. The attendant scurried away after giving us all our crowns to avoid Bakugo's rage.
