《Princess of Peace [BNHA]》Chapter Twenty Three
Advertisement
I was nervous about the finals. After much deliberation on how to divide Class 1A up for their finals we decided to group them into pairs and one team of three. Amy was teamed up with young Midoriya and young Bakugo, against me. I didn't like the match up at all. Amy didn't like violence and had a hard time using her quirk offensively but she was still the biggest threat of the three because her quirk was so strong, she was also my biggest weakness. The only way I'd be able to focus on helping Young Midoriya and Young Bakugo was to remove Amy from the equation.
The night before the dreaded final, I checked in on Amy to tell her it was time for bed and tuck her in. She'd fallen asleep at her desk, pencil still in hand with her head laying across her open textbook. Her long sunshine golden hair spilled over the edge of her desk. I knew she was feeling a little self-conscious and was being hard on herself. She didn't think she belonged in the hero course, I wanted her to see what everyone else saw, that she'd make an excellent hero and she was already great at it. I wished she had a little more confidence in herself.
I noticed two plushies sitting atop her bed that I hadn't seen before. They both looked new and not like something I'd normally pick out for her. One was a spiky looking hedgehog in a bright orange color, the other was a blue cat. I thought back on when she'd gotten home from school earlier in the day, she had looked a little red in the face and escaped to her room rather quickly to dive into her studies. Perhaps someone had given them to her at school. I paled as an even more frightening thought crossed my mind, what if a boy had given them to her?!
"Princess?" I called to her softly as I took the pencil from her hand and set it down on her desk seeing if she'd stir awake so I could ask her about the plushies.
She was sound asleep.
It would have to wait. I gently picked her up and smiled to myself as she mumbled some math equation in her sleep. I set her on the bed and was about to move the plushies out of the way and give her one of the ones I'd gotten for her but she reached for them in her sleep and snuggled them. She mumbled two names in her sleep as she grabbed each of the plushies, Bakugo when she grabbed the hedgehog and Todoroki when she grabbed the cat. I stared down at her sleeping form in awe. Not one...but two boys had given her plushies...what did that mean?!
Toshinori! What the hell are you doing?! Ayumi's voice raged inside my head. BEAT THOSE PUNKS NOW! I'd originally been intending to hold back a lot against Young Midoriya and Young Bakugo in their final, but that merciful thought flew out the window as Amy snuggled the orange hedgehog plush. I'd fully embrace my role as the villain in the final.
I placed a kiss to Amy's forehead and pulled the blankets around her. "Goodnight, Princess." I turned off the lights as I exited her room and retreated to my room.
The next morning, Amy woke up early and made a big breakfast for us. She didn't question me about the final like I'd originally expected her to. I should have known better she was too sweet and wouldn't want to have any unfair advantages over her classmates. She seemed to be very much in her head about the upcoming practical of the final. She'd managed to cut her hand and burn herself while making breakfast.

"Princess, are you okay?" I asked worried as I turned off the stove and ushered her away from it before she could hurt herself further.
"S-sorry." She bowed her head her bright blue eyes fell on her legs and I noticed her cheeks begin to redden as she realized she still had her pajama pants on under her school skirt. I'd thought she'd just been chilled this morning and didn't think anything of it until she groaned. It seemed she didn't do it intentionally.
I reached out and placed a hand to her forehead to make sure she wasn't running a fever. She felt normal. "What's wrong?"
She bit her lip, "I'm worried I'm going to mess up and make you look bad...I've been trying to practice everyday but I'm no good at fighting people and—." I placed a hand atop her head to stop her from working herself up further.
"Princess, you worry too much, I'm proud of you and how far you've come. I wish you could see how much you've improved and how amazing you are." I ruffled her hair. "Don't be so hard on yourself."
She bowed her head again before trudging back to her room to change. A few moments later she returned in perfect order. After breakfast we headed to UA, she had one last written final in the morning before the practical.
After lunch, Class 1A gathered at an off-campus facility where their finals were being held. They were all in their hero costumes, most looked fairly at ease, a few still looked worried, Amy among them. Aizawa began explaining their final and that they'd be working in pairs and facing off against one of the teachers for their final. When he got to Amy's team I prepared for my dramatic entrance.
"Then we have Midoriya paired with Bakugo—."
"—And Princess Might." Present Mic added and I noticed Amy pale considerably at this.
Aizawa rolled his eyes at the interruption and continued, "and you three will be up against—."
It was time for my dramatic entrance. I felt a little bad about interrupting Aizawa after he'd already been interrupted once as I leapt from the top of the building, I'd been perched on to watch over them all. I hit the ground with a powerful crash startling all the students and let out my best villain laugh.
"I am here to fight!" I grinned at the three of them.
Amy looked like she might faint.
"We're up against All Might?!" Bakugo and Midoriya gaped in unison as Amy stared at me wide eyed. I could see her already trying to formulate a plan trying to come up with the best course of action to help her teammates pass the final without having to fight.
"You're going to have to work together boys, if you want to win." I addressed Midoriya and Bakugo. I'd already found my resolve to target Amy first, I had to take her out quick, it would eliminate the biggest threat and hopefully push the boys to cooperate together better when they realized how serious it was. I could practically feel Ayumi clawing at me as I thought about my plan. I didn't like it either but I didn't want to traumatize Amy with a fight.
Principal Nezu proceeded to explain the students' objectives. In order to pass they either had to get a handcuff on their opponent or one of them had to escape the combat area. If I didn't get to Amy fast enough, she could make either of those happen very easily. To be a little more fair on the students all the teachers were weighed down by compressed weights equaling to half the wearer's body weight. This knowledge didn't seem to alleviate any of Amy's worry in the slightest, now it seemed like she was more worried about my well being with my quirk's limitations.

The students were given their testing order and were allowed to watch the other tests in an observation room or plan with their partners. Amy appeared to try to get Bakugo to stay and talk over strategy with her and Midoriya but he wanted no part in that and stormed off on his own. Amy and Midoriya retreated to the observation area to watch the other students until it was their turn.
I was starting to feel a little nervous myself. Amy was my precious little princess, I didn't want to harm her but I knew I couldn't hold back, it wouldn't be fair and she'd be upset if I didn't treat her like the other students.
Aizawa and Present Mic met up with me right before I was about to step into the city scape area for Amy, Midoriya and Bakugo's final. The matchups were ultimately Aizawa's decision, I'd been a little curious as to why he paired Amy up with Bakugo and Midoriya but I had an inkling it was because he thought she could get the two of them to work together.
"Hey...you are going to go easy on Princess Might, right?" Present Mic asked me a little nervously.
"Ah, no..." I sighed, "she'd be upset if I treated her any differently than anyone else...so I can't do that."
Present Mic grimaced at this, "ah jeez." He looked over at Aizawa with a scowl, "what did Princess Might do to you?! This is cruel and unusual punishment."
Aizawa rolled his eyes at Present Mic's dramatic outburst, "if I put her up against you, you'd have let her walk right on by if she said please."
"Well, she's just so gosh darn cute... honestly who could resist that?" Present Mic huffed.
Aizawa shook his head, "and that's why I did it this way...everyone else would have been susceptible to her charm."
"Even you?" Present Mic quipped.
Aizawa sighed, "if she hadn't gotten me that cat plush, I'd have said no..."
Cat plush? I thought for a moment and remembered when she'd come home from the mall with her classmates, she'd gotten presents for me and had mentioned she got something for Aizawa and Present Mic as a thank you for them watching over her when she'd been injured.
Present Mic snickered at Aizawa's response, "even you're weak to Princess Might's cuteness."
"Shut up." Aizawa grumbled before turning his tired gaze in my direction, "sorry to make it difficult for you, All Might."
"It's alright. This was probably the fairest option given the circumstances." I agreed.
"What's your plan?" Aizawa pondered.
I sighed, "Amy could be quite a challenge, she'll want to get her teammates to safety above all else and once she spots the exit will be able to do so practically effortlessly...I'll have to take her out right away..."
Present Mic paled, "harsh...poor Princess Might..."
Aizawa looked thoughtful, "doing so right out of the gate and in front of her teammates may actually push them to work together..."
"I thought so too." I noted. I thought about the plush Bakugo had given Amy and found my resolve, I wasn't going to go easy on any of them.
I heard the buzzer overhead and heard a robotic voice announce that it was time for Amy, Midoriya and Bakugo to take their final. I bid farewell to Present Mic and Aizawa and went to my starting location. Another buzzer announced the final had begun and I took a deep breath to prepare myself.
Bakugo started marching down the main road. I could faintly hear him and Midoriya yelling back and forth. Amy's voice was too soft for me to make out from this distance but I could faintly see her trying to keep the peace. Bakugo struck Midoriya as he tried to reason with him that they needed to get off the main road. I grimaced; this was upsetting Amy. Deciding it best to step in, I punched the air in front of me sending a blast wave of force down the street toward the trio.
Too busy bickering, Bakugo and Midoriya were caught unawares. Amy reacted quickly and cast out her hands. She managed to stop all the flying debris and create a protective wall in front of the three of them. I sighed, I knew she'd be the most challenging, I had to take her out.
I took off in their direction once the dust and debris settled from my attack. They were still on the main road surrounded by debris. Midoriya was trying to plead with Bakugo to run away and find an alternate route. Bakugo turned on him in rage and snapped.
"Ah! Please don't fight." Amy's soft sweet voice came out in a squeak as she hurriedly put herself between them and turned her bright baby blues in Bakugo's direction. "We're a team...we should work together."
Bakugo surprisingly didn't snap at her as I had expected him to. He placed a hand to her head and gave her a soft shove startling her enough that she lost her balance and fell flat on her bottom with a cute 'oof' sound.
"Hey! Kacchan!" Midoriya yelped, "don't pick on Amy! She just saved our hides!" He faced Bakugo with determination burning in his bright green eyes. Usually he cowered in Bakugo's presence but he wasn't backing down this time, for Amy.
I smiled faintly to myself, forgetting for a moment I was playing the role of villain. I was proud of my young protégé for coming to Amy's rescue.
"Shut up, damn nerd." Bakugo grumbled as Amy got to her feet. "Both of you losers stop following me."
Amy ran ahead a few paces and turned to face them both with her hands on her hips. "Enough." There was a slight quiver to her voice but she managed to stand her ground and face the angry blonde boldly. "It's obviously not safe here. We're a team, this isn't the Bakugo show, so stop being disagreeable and listen to your teammates. We have to work togeth—."
Now was the time. Before Amy could finish her adorable rant to get Bakugo to cooperate I hit the ground behind her. Bakugo and Midoriya stared at me wide eyed. Amy jumped at the sound of me crashing to the earth. She turned her head slightly to look behind her. I struck a pressure point at the base of her neck and watched as the light faded from her bright blue eyes. Her delicate frame slipped toward the ground. I couldn't bring myself to let her fall and reached out to catch her.
I mustered up an evil villainous laugh as I slung her unconscious form over my shoulder. "I had no idea the heroes were going to make this so easy for me and they left their precious trump card unguarded, now nothing can stop me from destroying this entire city."
"Amy!" Bakugo and Midoriya called her name simultaneously and stared at me with wide eyes. In my head I could hear Ayumi shrieking at me for knocking Amy unconscious and I already felt so sick with guilt I thought about suggesting she and I go to Disney World this weekend to make amends.
"If you boys think of this as an exam and not a real fight, you'll be sorry. I'm a villain now, heroes, and your precious teammate is now my hostage. You'd better come at me with everything you've got. I won't pull my punches!"
Midoriya was mumbling a mile a minute, "oh god, we run, no, no, no, we can't run, the villain has Amy...we fight, but he won't hurt Amy...she's his daughter, but he's supposed to be a villain. EEP, a villain has Amy, All Might will kill me..."
Bakugo lunged at me without thinking while I was trying to make sense of Midoriya's ramblings. A massive explosion went off on the opposite side of my face, from the shoulder I had Amy's unconscious form resting on. I noticed Bakugo reach his free hand toward Amy in an attempt to take her from me and felt a strange sense of pride. I was proud of Young Bakugo for wanting to rescue Amy, even if his plan to do so wasn't the best. I caught his arm with ease and hurled him away.
"Damn." Bakugo growled as he rolled to his feet halfway down the street and fixed me with a menacing glare. "Hand her over." He raged.
"Ah! Whoa, Kacchan, you're worried about Amy?" Midoriya blinked at the angry blonde for a moment before jumping into action. "We need a plan to rescue Amy!"
"We got one!" Bakugo snarled as he raced head on, toward me.
"We do?" Midoriya paled, "what is it?!"
"Attack, moron!" Bakugo snapped as he launched himself at me for another offensive assault. "It was my plan all along to come at you with all I've got, I never hold back damm—." Bakugo cut off mid roaring tirade as I effortlessly caught him out of the air by his face. He launched a barrage of small blasts right at my face.
I braced myself for impact and made sure Amy wasn't in the line of fire. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Midoriya trying to reach for Amy. I easily deflected Bakugo's arm and hurled him into Midoriya causing them both to hit the ground, hard. Amy began to stir from all the explosions.
"Sorry, Princess." I murmured under my breath as I quickly struck another pressure point causing her to fall limp over my shoulder once more as she slipped back into unconsciousness. I didn't expect her recovery time to be so quick, I must have subconsciously held back on my first strike against her.
"Kacchan! Listen! We should avoid him and come up with a plan...we need a real plan!" Midoriya groaned as they picked themselves up off the ground. Already from our quick skirmish they both looked pretty beat up.
"Shut up, scum! I'll get the stupid Crybaby back and win this on my own!" Bakugo raged. I was surprised that his objective had changed, his priority was Amy. I thought to the cute spiky orange hedgehog plush and clenched my fists. As proud as I was of the punk for wanting to rescue Amy, I wasn't ready for her to have boys in her life and that hedgehog was practically a declaration of war.
"Think so?" I interrupted their squabble as I launched at them with a piece of fencing that had been dislodged in my first attack. "I have a gift for the one who wants to run away." I slammed the fencing into Midoriya pinning him to the ground before charging at Bakugo not giving him a moment to react. I punched him in the gut with enough force he went flying through the air and expelled the contents of his empty stomach as he flew back.
"Kacchan! Are you okay?!" Midoriya squealed as I gently set Amy's unconscious body down out of the way, it was time to get serious.
As I approached young Bakugo, a large shadow passed over me. I glanced upward and stared in awe as I noticed an entire skyrise building hovering in the air above me. "What the—." I looked back at where I'd set Amy down. Her unconscious body was now hovering in the air, her long golden hair fell in front of her face, her head lolling to the side.
"Amy?" Midoriya squeaked.
"What the hell?" Bakugo gasped as he got to his hands and knees and noticed Amy's floating form and the building hovering in the air above me. "Hey, crybaby what do you think you're doi—." He cut off as he was suddenly lifted off his feet.
Multiple things happened simultaneously, Bakugo and Midoriya both flew toward Amy, Amy's limp body fell toward the ground and the building suddenly dropped from the sky. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Midoriya and Bakugo catch Amy between them as they both landed simultaneously at her side. I launched a powerful attack at the building plummeting toward me as Midoriya and Bakugo disappeared into a nearby alley to regroup. The powerful blast from my fist managed to blast the building apart and I avoided the rain of rubble.
"This is a new development." I grimaced as I looked at all the debris around me. I thought to Ayumi's journals and her fear of Amy's quirk. She'd managed to pick up an entire skyrise building while unconscious, the dormant power within her was truly amazing...no wonder it scared her.
I took off at a run toward the exit thinking that was where Midoriya was likely to have led them all. Though Young Bakugo had probably recovered and protested running away. As I passed by an alleyway, I heard the sound of a minor explosion followed by Bakugo's voice.
"You're going the wrong way!" He roared as he launched himself out of the alley. I glanced over my shoulder realizing he was only wearing one of his gauntlets and he didn't have Amy with him.
"That was supposed to be a sneak attack?" I scoffed.
He launched a small blast from his gauntlet into my face but used it more to propel himself away from me. After a few more small blasts I suspected he was using as a distraction he gritted his teeth and yelled, "Deku!" He cast his hand downward expelling a blast that skyrocketed him into the air as Midoriya appeared behind me, "shoot now!"

8 122My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal...
Ever since meeting his uncle, Arthur has pushed himself daily to achieve an arbitrary goal. He trained like nobody else did, longer than anybody else could. He neglected his personal relationships to pursue something he didn't even understand, in hindsight. When the time came for his class awakening ritual, he was ready. He was ready to receive a powerful starting class and to break free from his boring lifestyle. Well, you know what they say, "Be careful what you wish for, lest your wish be granted." Arthur was assigned the death knight class, which is just barely, technically, maybe legal. With it, he learns about what drove him to such simple minded ambition in the first place: his affinity. Now, he's faced with a dilemma: will he embrace it, or reject it? 'My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal' is a laid back story with occasional tension, that describes Arthur, a young man, exploring the world, the system and his own mental health as he pursues his ambitions. This story is the first serious fiction I ever wrote, so while criticism is definitely welcomed, keep it polite. I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point, since they're not as good as my later ones, but I'm focusing on my current chapters first. I don't have time to do both yet, since I'm also in the middle of my exams. What to expect from this story: -Litrpg elements -A chaotic good aligned protagonist (that starts off as a neutral good protagonist) -(Hopefully) interesting characters. What not to expect from this story: -Grimdark elements -Harem -An enslaved protagonist. (I mention this due to the background of the mc's class) Release schedule: 1 chapter every other day, 2pm European time (14:00) Join the discord here: https://discord.gg/YHZFB4HMHD
