"my mom told me that i had missed the reading of my grandmother's will. she said grandma left me money. a lot of it. my mother also told me i should use said money to go back to college. i asked her why. even if i had a college degree, ive got scars and habits and issues. i could never get a job. but, my mother said that since i was getting better, i should put the money into a savings account, and then i could go back to school once ive conquered my addictions and have had time to defeat my demons. but why would i 'defeat' my demons? they are a part of me. if anything, ill just be at peace with them...common-ground. anyway, i told her i would think about it, and i have. i think it might be a good decision. i mean, it would bring me a step closer to getting my life together. that reminds me, ive only had four jolly ranchers today."
