《》Chapter 20: Rush

Genesis and Bella finally had a shower for the first time in about a week. They were going to Jacob's today to see if he would help them fix up some motorcycles. Genesis didn't really see it as a good idea, seeing as that neither Bella or herself had ever driven one, but she'd do anything to see Bella smile at this point.
Genesis and Bella made it to Jacob's house on the reservation. Little did they know that down in Alaska, Alice was freaking out because she couldn't see them anymore. Genesis hopped out of the truck as she saw Jacob come out of his garage. His face brightened once he saw the girl and he quickly brought her in for a hug, picking her up and twirling her around.
Genesis let out a small giggle. It was nice to have someone so joyful during her and her sister's dark days. He set her down and brought Bella in for a hug next. Jacob knew of the breakup between Bella and Edward. He would be lying if he said he wasn't happy about it. He couldn't help it. He liked both of the sisters. But, if he had to choose at the moment, it would have to be Genesis. She's the only one not hung up on a guy.
"What brings you guys by?" Jacob asks. Bella grabs the tarp hiding the bikes and yanks it off. "Scrap metal," He mused, "You shouldn't have." He chuckled. Genesis hopped up on the back of the truck, "We were hoping you could help us fix these." She explained. "Since when were you two into motorcycles?" He asked. "Since Bella became an adrenaline junky." Genesis smirked.
Bella gave her sister a look. "Yeah, well, if you don't want to it's okay, we were just wondering." Bella said awkwardly. Jacob chuckled, "When do we start?" He asked. Bella's face brightened, "Really? Right now!" She said. Genesis smiled at her sister's happier attitude. Maybe this was a good idea after all. Genesis and Jacob took a bike, "Be careful, they're-" Bella cut herself off when both of them picked them up and set them down on the ground.

"Heavy," She finished shocked. "Woah, Jake! I know Genesis is like, stupid strong, but when did you get so tough?" She exclaimed. Genesis laughed, "Steroids is one hell of a drug." Genesis commented. Jacob laughed, "I'm just growing up, Bella. What are you now, forty?" He teased. Genesis shook her head, "If she's forty, what am I?" She asked. "Twenty." He answered.
The girls rose an eyebrow. "You know she's older than me, right?" Bella asked. "Yeah but you act like you've seen it all." Genesis joked. Bella gave her a look and she winked. The three laughed. It was an odd sight to see. The two broken girls laughing without a care in the world. Genesis wanted this to be over. She wanted to go back to being happy with the Cullen's and Carlisle.
She missed them with every fiber of her being. She wanted Carlisle back. She needed Carlisle back. She wanted to tell him that he did it. That he taught her what love is, and the she loves him. She loved him so much that it was honestly crazy. She didn't know how overwhelming this feeling would be. She liked the feeling. It was warm and joyful. But it was breaking her heart too. Because the one man she has ever loved isn't with her.
"Hey, Genesis? You in there?" Jacob's voice snapped her out of her daze. He knocked on her forehead for effect. "Really?" She asked. "It worked, didn't it?" He smirked. They were now in his garage and he was checking what all he needed to fix the bikes. "We can get started tomorrow. I need to get a few parts." He said. Genesis nodded and hugged him. "Thanks for this, Jake." She whispered in his ear. Jacob held her tightly with an excited smile.
This will be fun.
Bella and Genesis had went to Jacob's house after school every day, much to the vampires dismay. Alice couldn't see past Genesis and Bella leaving school, and it unnerved her relentlessly. She had told the others of this and Carlisle told her it had to have something to do with her wolf friends. Alice knew that was most likely the cause, but that didn't make it any less frustrating.

She did not like how rough the werewolves were. Rosalie was not thrilled at all. Genesis doesn't need to be hanging around some mutts. But, who were they to get upset. She had no one else apart from the wolves and Bella now. Carlisle didn't have an opinion. He was still sitting in the same spot. He literally hasn't moved in months. He doesn't exactly need to, but he could probably use a shower. His hair was everywhere from him running his hands threw it and the white of his eyes are tinted pink from the venom.
The children had made it a chore to go and get him blood from time to time. God knows if they didn't then he'd just sit there starving. He ate it, though. He wasn't about to be an asshole just because he's depressed. The Cullen's wondered how long it would be until they could finally go back to them. There was no doubt in their minds that they would return to the humans, they're just waiting on Carlisle at this point.
Ironically, it was Carlisle who was waiting on them. He was waiting for Edward to finally come to the realization that neither of them could live without their mates. He was being torn apart inside hearing about Genesis's conditions. He thinks the only reason Edward hasn't left yet is because he doesn't know Bella's.
Back with Bella and Genesis, they had just met some guys Quil and Embry. Quil was a flirt, making the girls cringe. The boys started picking on Jacob and he ended up 'fighting' Quil. "My money's on Quil." Embry said to the two girls. The two looked at each other and then back to Embry.
"You're on."
The day finally came where they were finally done fixing the bikes. Well, Jacob was finally done. The girls and Jacob pulled the bikes over to a dirt road as Jacob told them what to do. Bella got on one and Genesis got on the back as per Bella's request. "You guys ready?" Jacob asked. "If I die, you can have my Pokémon cards." Genesis told him. Jacob rolled his eyes and laughed.
"Ready?" Bella asked. "As I'll ever be." She answered. Bella nodded and started going. They started going fast and Genesis noticed Bella whipping her head around. "Stop!" Genesis heard Carlisle's voice again, but louder and more exaggerated, as if he was really here and seeing what was happening. "Bella, stop!" Genesis yelled. "I don't know how!" She yelled back. "The breaks!" Jacob called out to them.
It was too late, the girls went flipping over the death trap and onto the ground. Genesis landed on her back, her breath being knocked out her. Bella landed on her front and rolled, hitting her head on a rock. Genesis coughed and wheezed. That hurt. She quickly realized she wasn't the only one in pain and scurried to Bella's side.
"Bella? Bella? Are you okay?" She asked frantically. Jacob ran up to them both and crouched down to their level. Bella lifted her head up to show a small bit of blood on her forehead. She touched her forehead and cringed. "Oh, sorry." She whispered. "Your sorry? For bleeding?" Jacob questioned. Jacob took off his shirt and dabbed it on her forehead. Bella kept staring at Jacob, "What?" He asked. "You're kinda beautiful." She said.
"Oh no, she's lost it!" Genesis exclaimed dramatically as she fell onto her back. Jacob laughed, "Yeah, how hard did you hit your head?" He joked. Bella rolled her eyes at him. This was nice. They were finally finding happiness again. Genesis couldn't help but wonder how long it would last.
Sadly, not long.
