《》Chapter 19: Mad

Three months. It had been three months since they left and the Swan's lives went to shambles. Charlie was beyond terrified for his children. He knew why Bella was upset. Edward was her first boyfriend and Bella was beyond infatuated with him. But Genesis?
Charlie had been thinking about it for a while. He knew that family ever since they got here. They were all together except for Edward. Well, him and Carlisle. Realization hit Charlie like a truck. Genesis was with the doctor this whole time and he didn't even know it. How did he miss that? He couldn't really blame himself. She was good friends with their whole family, how was he supposed to click that together?
Charlie didn't really hate that. Carlisle was a good man and a phenomenal doctor. He looked to be around his mid twenties anyway. So genesis was either six years younger or less. Charlie shook his head. This was not the time to be thinking about that. The Cullen's were gone and his two children were in hell. What if he sent them back with their mother?
He hadn't seen them around any other friends, so a change is probably what they need right now. He heard Bella and Genesis go out the door and to Bella's old truck. Genesis had been riding with Bella for a while now. She wanted to stay with her sister during this dark time. The only place she didn't go with her was lunch. Bella still sat at the Cullen table as if they would magically appear one day.
Genesis just skipped it all together. She went outside and sat in Bella's truck crying her eyes out. She tried to stay strong for her sister's sake, but she was only human. She had to cry too. Charlie came up to the girls and sighed while looking at his mess of children, "That's it," he began, "You guys are going back to Jacksonville to live with your mother." He said.

Bella shook her head, "No. I wanna stay in Forks." She said. "Bella, this isn't normal. You two are scaring the hell out of me and your mother. You guys should go. Get away and make new friends." He reasoned. "I like my old friends." Bella shot back. Charlie sighed. "Girls, they're not coming back. And you don't even see your friends anymore." He said.
"We were going to have a girls night with Jessica tonight. We were going to go shopping and then to the movies." Genesis lied. Bella rose her eyebrows at her sister. She was a great liar for someone so kind and honest. "Shopping, Girls night, I like it. Go buy some stuff." Charlie said walking away. Bella gave Genesis a thankful smile.
Genesis walked beside Bella as Jessica talked, and talked, and talked. Does she ever take a breath? At this point, Genesis wasn't sure what the girl was even talking about. And, by the look on Bella's face, neither did she. Genesis didn't hate Jessica. Genesis didn't really hate anyone. She got annoyed with people, sure. But hate is a very strong word that she doesn't exactly like to use.
Genesis looked like hell. There were dark rings under her eyes from lack of sleep, and her hair hadn't been washed in about a week. Bella was almost as bad, except she managed to somehow get more sleep even though she had nightmares. Genesis didn't dare to sleep. She didn't want to see their faces in her dreams. The only reason she slept at all was because her body tricked her into doing so.
Genesis was snapped out of her thoughts when Jessica shook her. She hadn't realized her sister wasn't by her side and that they had stopped. "Hey, what's your sister doing?" Jessica asked. Genesis rose an eyebrow in confusion. Jessica pointed down the road to Bella getting on a motorcycle with some random guy.

Genesis didn't waste any time. She started sprinting down the wet cemented road. "Bella!" Genesis yelled after her sister. Suddenly, a voice entered her head. Genesis tripped and fell onto the cement floor, shaking in fear and confusion. "Stop." The voice said. She was going mad. She had to be. There's no way that she could hear that voice and no one be there.
It was Carlisle.
Genesis and Bella had made it back home and Bella was pacing the room as Genesis sat against the door in her usual spot. Neither one of the girls have said a word since they got home, and it was clear to see that Bella was losing her mind. Genesis waited for her sister to speak. She didn't question her actions with the motorcycle or her sudden craving for a 'rush'. If a rush was helping her cope then she'd happily pay for them to go bungee jumping or something.
"I saw him, Gen." Bella broke the silence. Genesis scrunched her eyebrows. She saw him? There's no way. He wouldn't have come back like that just to torture Bella. "He was like, like a mist! It was like he was there, but he wasn't!" Bella rambled on. Genesis then understood. She wasn't the only one. "Did he say anything?" Genesis finally spoke, much the Bella's surprise.
Ever since this whole thing happened, Genesis wouldn't ever really speak. She never spoke about how hurt she was. She only listened to Bella as she talked or screamed. "He told me to not get on the bike. And that I was breaking my promise to him of not being reckless." She said. Genesis nodded. What was happening? Why were they hearing them?
"I heard Carlisle." Genesis confessed. Bella's eyes widened. So either they were both insane, or this was really happening. "I was running to get to you and I heard him say stop." She elaborated. Bella nodded. "You didn't see him?" Bella asked. "No." Genesis said. Bella nodded her head. She couldn't believe this was happening. She thought that she would never see him again. Yet he was mentally following her.
Bella had an idea. She grabbed her keys and held out a hand to Genesis. Genesis took her hand and pulled herself up. "Where we going?" She asked. "Junkyard." Bella said as she pulled her downstairs and out into the cold night air. "It's like, midnight." Genesis said. The two got in Bella's truck and Bella looked to Genesis as she started it. "What else are we gonna do? Sleep?" Bella bitterly joked. Genesis smirked a bit and buckled up.
"Guess not."

Through his hard work, Arthur Bennett has achieved what he thought was the pinnacle of life: wealth, prestige, and power. However, achieving those came with a price; he lost everything and everyone he loved. One day, out of boredom, he mindlessly wrote a fantasy novel filled with numerous clichés and superfluous conflicts. However, he never imagined he would be reincarnated into that world after his death. No, not as the protagonist, not even as an important supporting character, but instead, he became a mob in his novel. Will Arthur use his abilities and knowledge as the author to make the right decisions and make it through the end, despite the fact that there was a greater, more powerful threat that he was unaware of even as the author? ==========-I will also be posting it on Webnovel, Scribblehub, and Tapas (TBA) under the same name
