"I always knew it" A giggle was heard

Panic flowed through me once again, my neck snapped in the direction and saw my two bestfriends smirking. Then I remembered the position Aqua and I were in

"It's not what it looks like" I assured

"Whatever you say Bev, get it girll" Josie laughed, I rolled my eyes and hopped of the counter

"I have to admit, you move on fast" Elena giggled

"This, this is Aquamarine" I said motioning to the raven hair girl

"Aquamarine? Like the movie?"

"I don't know, ask Sarah" Elena said

"Well, it's a pretty name either way. Hi, I'm Josie" the girl with dyed blonde locks stretched her arms out towards Aqua

"And let me assure you, no-one. And I mean NO-ONE will take my place as her best friend"

"Stop scaring the girl, you don't even know how they met" Elena nudged Josie in the ribs

"Hi, I'm Elena" the girl stretched her hand out next

"Hi, nice to meet you all" Aqua smiled sweetly

"How do you guys know each other?"

"She found me passed out on the beach" Aqua shrugged and headed over to the cough

The two girls eyed me weirdly as we stood there in the kitchen. They crossed their hands over their chests and raised their brows

"It's a long story. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say it" I groaned

"You can tell us anything" Elena assured

"It's not simple information to process"

"Are you sure about that?" Josie asked, I rolled my eyes and grabbed the sardine can from the counter

"Watch this" I mumbled

My hands gripped the tin and threw it into the air. I hope she doesn't make me look like a fool. My eyes watched as the can twisted in the air and gravity took control. The metal was dropped mid air and-

Stopped. It froze in its tracks right before my eyes

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!" Josie screamed

"Is there a ghost?! Holy hell! FATHER FORGIVE ME FOR I HAVE SINNED" Elena yelled and they both backed away

"Nope, it's just Aqua" I smiled sweetly, I acted so calm as if this happened many times before

They glanced in the direction of Aquamarine who stood by the door from with her hand pointed in the direction of the can

"Are your fingers made of Jellyfish?" she asked, I furrowed my brows at her

"Because it's.. Slippery- never mind!" she scoffed and and moved her hand, the can floated over to the counter and dropped with ease

"What the fuck!!!!!" Josie screamed and looked between us

"Someone, explain what is going on before I claw my eyeballs out!" Elena hissed

"Well... Are you gonna tell them?" I asked

"They're your friends"

"It's your secret" I added

"Fine, I'll do it" aqua groaned, I smiled and leaned against the kitchen island

"So, remember when I said I washed up on the beach? Yeah, I'm a fish" she said bluntly

"Huh?" Josie questioned

"Creature of the water? Breathe by gills?" Aqua asked, the girls stood there confused

"Woman that lures fishermen into the sea and eat them alive? Isn't that what you humans assume of us?" Aqua asked, I laughed at my friends who looked like a deer in headlights

"She's a Mermaid" I assured them

"Oh- well you could have said that in the first place!" Josie groaned

"Aren't you freaked out?" I asked

"Well I am" Elena said

"I mean, I was at first... But I read alot of wattpad books. It's prepared me for moments like these" Josie smirked

"You're weird" Elena said looking at the girl

"And you're adorable" Josie added, a blush spread across Elena's cheek

"And I thought we had sexual tension" Aqua smirked, I glared at her before looking back to my friends

"So what happened?" Elena asked, Aquamarine made her way over to the counter and held the can in her hand

"I found her-"

"And by found, she mean she tripped over my helpless body" Aqua said rolling her eyes. She gripped the can and glared at it. Within seconds, the sealed was spit in two

I flinched at the impact and eyed her weirdly. Aquamarine smirked and dipped her fingers into the can, pulling out a fish and swallowing it

"Ugh God, I think I'm gonna be sick" Josie hissed

"What? Do you guys want some?" Aqua asked as she held the can out. I shook my head and focused back on my friends

"Anyways, I saw her on the beach and things lead to another. So she stayed the night" I mumbled

"Such poetic summaries you have" Josie glared at me

"Does your parents know she's here?" Elena questioned

"No, but she has nowhere else to go. She's gonna stay here for a while until we figure something out" I assured. The girls nodded and came closer to us

"You're pretty" Josie said

"No, I'm hot. Get it right" Aqua smirked

"Oooh I like her already" Josie smirked and placed her hands in her chin as she leaned on the kitchen island

"What do you like to do Aquamarine?" Elena asked the girl

"I'm not allowed to do anything in Atlantis besides sit on a throne" Aqua groaned

"Atlantis? Wait .....it exists? Holy shit, we're the only people with this information" Elena said in disbelief

"You said something about a throne... Are you apart of royalty?" Josie asked, Aqua nodded

"I'm the runaway Princess, I'm sure I strained my father's name but I don't care anymore" Aqua said as she shoved another fish in her mouth

"Oo! Did you guys see this! I have an ass now! I couldn't see it when I had my tail, then I saw it in the mirror lastnight. Look at it!" Aquamarine giggled

"A what now?" Josie questioned

Aquamarine spun around and pulled her sweatpants down her leg-

"Oh my God!" I groaned and covered my eyes. I heard Elena giggle

"That's a nice ass you got there Aqua, did Beverly tap it yet?" Josie asked, I could tell that she was smirking

"Why would she tap my ass?" Aquamarine asked confused. Oh god-

"I don't know, why wouldn't she want to?" Josie asked again

"Alright that's it! Aqua, go shower. Get some clothes from my room and get down here. We're going shopping" I said

Aqua nodded and pulled her sweatpants up to her stomach again, she grabbed the can and-

"Leave the fish behind!" I hissed

"Okay MOM!" she groaned and headed upstairs

"I ship them so hard" Elena laughed

"Are we heading to the mall?" Josie asked

"Yep, she can't use all of my clothes. I think she should have something of her own on land. Something that she chooses and feels comfortable with" I said

"What happened to her?" Elena questioned, I leaned closer to them and whispered

"Her dad almost killed her because she didn't wanna marry a guy. She ran away and somehow our paths crossed" I said

"Wow. What the fuck is wrong with him"

"I thought mermaids were supposed to be sweet" Elena pouted

"No sweetheart, you've been watching cartoons when you should have been watching documentaries" Josie snickered

"Leave that girl alone, don't ruin her innocence with your evilness" I glared at Josie

"Believe me, she isn't that much innocent" Josie smirked, a blush pulled across Elena's cheek again

"Okay, what the hell is going on between you two" I asked confused

The girls remained silent, Elena bit her lips nervously as Josie watched her strongly. As the silence continued, Josie grew angrier

"I guess nothing happened at all" Josie spat

"I'll be in the car, tell me when you're ready Bev"

And with that, Josie headed out the door. It was slammed shut, the sound echoed and vibrated through the walls and Elena flinched. I furrowed my brows as I looked at the girl

"What happened" I asked again

"I don't wanna talk about it" she mumbled

"Elena, I'm not gonna push you but Josie seems pretty upset about this. I don't want my bestfriends fighting, Atleast go talk to her" I whispered

"I... Don't know what to tell her"

"I don't know what exactly happened, but the least you could do is be honest" I assured her. Elena nodded and headed out the door to find Josie

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. Ah yes, I needed to shower and head over to the mall. It was 11am and I was starving

My feet found its way up the stairs and I headed towards the room. My hands gripped my towel and I walked into the shower. The water trickled down my body and I spent a few minutes in there before coming out.

I threw on a Blue Jeans and a tight white crop top, my hair was pulled into a messy highpony and I wore my golden necklace around my neck with a white vans

I came out the room and saw Aqua standing by the stairs. She had on a black t shirt with a bomber jacket attached with skinny ripped jeans. I couldn't deny the girl looked better in my clothes than I did

"You look amazing" she smiled sweetly, and now a red shade appeared on my cheek as she eyed me

"Let's go" I chuckled and headed down the stairs

I felt her eyes on me as I walked down the stairs, I grabbed my keys from the table in the living room and we headed out into the yard. My Range Rover stood proudly under the light drizzle

I glanced over to the matte black G wagon parked next to my car. Josie smiled at me from the diver seat and Elena waved.

"I guess they're fine now" I mumbled under my breath

We hopped into my car and pressed the engine on. The car purred under my touch. I allowed it to warm up for a bit before pulling it in reverse and heading out the yard

Let's just hope nothing crazy goes down today
