|🌀|CHAPTER:3|🌀|

Was it normal, that a guy who hated you and was your scariest bully was following you? It was normal from some angles as this following might be because I was going to get some punches from him. Or it could be that he was trying to give me the lesson of the other day. But, it was impossible to do anything here in the library, with the teachers and the amount of cameras.

Why is he following me then?

With jumbled thoughts, I entered the library, completely freaking out because, guess who was following me? Carter Reece. The snake. There's nothing to be worried about Sophia. He might just be going there to take some books for reading, the voice in the back of my head said.

I didn't know he could study too. I thought he was just a BadBoy who was good for nothing. And I was right. He could just do one thing and that was playing basketball. Though I was a nerd but I knew enough about this school. I loved to gossip but I couldn't when I was the topic of it every time and the fact that I did not have any friends was quiet a reason too.

I wasn't in a mood to read something so I just decided to sit down and eat my lunch there in the peace but Mr BadBoy had to ruin all my relaxation time. I had to ignore him somehow and the best option was to indulge myself in some activity. Taking a book from the 'teens' shelf, I went straight to the chair where I kept my lunch tray. I tried to play as if I didn't know Carter was here, staring at me from the door of the library.

With the corner of my eyes I saw him leaning against the door when suddenly somebody pulled it backwards and he went stumbling back into Ms. Rose.

"Woah!" He exclaimed.

"You are grown up but you can't keep your body in control, Carter." She spoke, eyeing him from head to toe. Before I could stop it, a light laugh escaped my mouth causing both of them to divert their attention to me.

Carter had an unexplainable look on his face while Ms Rose just glared between the both of us. "It's unusual to see you here Carter," Ms Rose finally said.

Yeah. Very unusual.

Carter ran his hand through his hair and replied, " I just wanted some books for my geography project."

On hearing this Ms. Rose raised both of her eyebrows. "You? You....? Geography? Nice joke!" She complimented him.

Nice joke?

Best joke ever!

"Haha, so funny-not! Now, will you help me?" He asked, irritation laced in every word of his.

"Of course I will. Go sit over there. You see that girl? Sit beside her. I'll bring the books there." He nodded and moved towards me.

Oh my god! He is going to kill me! I just laughed at him a few minutes ago. And the lesson from other day that he wanted to give me, was left too. Today is the day I'm going to die. There were countless things running in my mind. I could see death coming towards me, waving at me.

'Hey Sophie! Wanna join me?' Death said dancing like a maniac. 'Umm, if you can save me from Carter's wrath, then definitely....'

A feeling of someone sitting beside me brought me back from my imagination. I was about to move away from him but he held my hand."Hey! Just sit here! I am not biting you." His tone was enough to make my feet cold. I sat there, lowering my head while he went through the maps and books. I kept glancing at him from the corner of my eyes, hoping he just disappears somehow. To pass my time, I started checking out the sandwich that laid in my plate.

"Why aren't you eating your food?" He asked all of a sudden causing me to tremble with fear. I couldn't reply him. "Break is going to be over. Eat your lunch!" He demanded.

I didn't want to eat the lunch. I had lost my appetite just when Carter entered the library. Library was the only area where there was no bullying. I was safe there because nobody knew that I seeked refuge in there at the lunch. This only peace was also snatched away from me when this snake decided to study there.

"Didn't you hear me? I said eat your food! Or I'll force it into your mouth!" I gulped, taking a half eaten sandwich from my plate and swallowed the whole in a single huge bite.

I struggled to chew it and brought it down my throat with a couple of coughs. Why did I eat the whole sandwich in a single bite?

Because you're stupid!

Carter gave me his water bottle before standing up. "You are quite stupid for a nerd. I have no idea why people call you smart!" With that he left for the door. As he opened the door, he turned around, "I don't like to repeat myself so do as I say. You won't sit in here from tomorrow! And, if I see you here you don't wanna know what I'll do with you!"

Shut!

"Who does he think he is? Manipulative jerk! Stupid? He thinks I'm stupid? He is stupid! He is an idiot. A scary idiot. I hate him. I really really really really really really really really really hate him with a burning passion. That stupid Carter Reece! That anaconda!" I talked to myself as I washed my hands after the lunch in the library.

Of course there was no one in the washroom at that time but I should have known better. The door opened and in walked Maddy the Great. Maddy is the type of girl you wouldn't want to know. She is an A class bitch. Obviously a cheerleader and not to mention a slut too. You know Regina Georg- no Reginald George was way better than her.

You could call her Cakey Maddy because her face looked like a cake with all the makeup she used. What I believed is that she looked more pretty naturally. Her captivating blue eyes, model-like figure, beautiful, long Strawberry blonde hair and undeniably good looks could attract any guy around. Not that guys don't throw themselves at her now, but, yeah.

Not only the boys but most of the girls are all after her. Only if she had some good morals and a good attitude....

"Ooooohhh! Look who we have here! Aww little Sophia, you are trapped now. What did you think? That you'll come to school late and we'll leave you to be? Hahaha! You should have known better." Her high pitched voice rang in my ears.

Just two or three slaps that I'll have to bear. And then I'll be free from the torture. It's not an issue as I was used to it now. At least it wasn't the guys. They hit pretty bad, I must say.

"Hi! I'm home!" I called as I entered into the house but I received silence as nobody answered. Worried, I went to the kitchen to check. I saw Rebecca was helping Stella there with the vegetables.

"Hi Sophia!" Stella's cheerful voice sounded.

"Hi Stella! How are you feeling now?" I asked. I hadn't gotten time to ask about her health yet.

"I'm fine. It was just a little bit of fever. I'm good now," she said with a smile on her face. Taking a water bottle from the refrigerator, I sat on top of the kitchen counter.

"So what are you guys cooking today?" I asked after sipping the water.

"Chinese!" They both said simultaneously. Oh thank god there was something good about today.

"Josh will be so happy!" Josh loves Chinese food. He is crazy about those noodles. What do we call those? Chow-something. Yeah that! He loves that.

"Today he told me he was bringing some of his friends so I decided to make Chinese for them," Stella continued.

Just then the doorbell rang. With a cheerful smile lining my lips, I slipped down the counter. "I'll get it!" I made my way towards the door.

"Hi sister!" Josh hugged me.

"Hi Josh! Hi Frank! How are you?" Unlike me, Josh had friends. Frank was his best friend.

"Hi Sophie! I'm good. How about you?"

"I'm fine too. Where are others? Ashton? Ben? Henry?"

"Oh they are coming. I guess they are playing with the big ball in the garden." Josh replied. The big ball was their favourite thing.

"Oh. And didn't Nina and Mia come?" I asked.

"No, they were busy today." A thin red line formed on his cheeks as he looked down.

It can't be what I think it is. But if it is, is it Nina or Mia. I decided to leave the topic for later. There was no way Josh was going away with it.

"Let's call everybody inside. Guess what Stella cooked for you people today?" I asked walking inside.

"What?" His tone was excited.

"Chinese!"

"Wow! Did she cook chowmein?" He jumped up and down. Okay, it's chowmien.

"Yeah, I think she made it." I answered. We had the food together after which josh took his friends in his room. We started playing 'powerful pippy ping pops'. Weird name I know but Josh loves this game.

"You know what Josh? Your sister is the coolest sister on the planet. Look at the score she is making. Now I understand from where you learn to play that well," Ashton sounded.

Josh had a never leaving smile on his face. "I know. My sister is the best!"

"Well, I think your sister is the coolest girl I've ever met on the planet," Frank complemented on which he received Josh's death glare. Frank, though is quiet younger than me but never spared a chance of flirting with me. It's kind of his habit. "Not only the coolest but also the most hottest girl on the planet!" He continued sending his childish wink in my direction. Aww! This kid is sooo cute.... I just wanted to pinch his cheeks at that moment.

"Frank! It's enough now!" Josh shouted at his best friend.

My poor dramatic baby.

"No, Josh really your sister is ver-ouch! How dare you throw that remote on me?" Frank cried.

"I just threw the remote. But next time if you flirt with my sister I'm going to throw the-the-"

He didn't know what to say so I covered for him. "He is going to throw anything he finds in his way if you flirt again." I warned, patting Josh's back trying to calm him down while not laugh at such a situation and to bring his eyes to their normal colour and size.
