"If your stuff isn't out of my room by the time I get back, you can bet my missing claw that I will throw it you" I growled at my older brother making him pale before clearing his throat.
"Right" Zach breathed before furrowing his eyebrows at me, "How long will you be gone for?"
"He's gone for a month and a half" Gray, our younger brother, answered with a pout making me sigh.
"I'll be back before you know it. Besides, I'll be with Owen. Nothing's gonna happen with that Idiot" I told the lighter brown haired male who simply rolled his eyes at me.
"Come on, Moon! I ain't got all day!" Owen called from the drivers door of his ute.
I growled over at him before turning to my parents, Karen and Scott.
"Be safe. Don't hit your fingers too many times with the hammer" Mum laughed as Dad rested a hand on her shoulder.
"If I do anything with the hammer, it'll be nailing some common sense into that Idiot over there" I muttered, gesturing my head over at Owen who was impatiently waiting.
"Be nice, Moon" Dad chuckled, ruffling my silver hair on my head before pulling me into a manly hug.
"Yeah, yeah" Rolling my purple eyes, I turned to Gray with a sigh, "Keep up your studies. I don't want to have to come back to growl at you".
Gray laughed, his pout given up as he breathed, "Okay".
"Moon! I'm gonna leave without you!" Owen yelled causing a growl to bubble in my throat.
"Go on! You're the one who wanted me to come with you!" I yelled back at him, watching him pout at the truth.
With an eyeroll and sigh, I said my goodbyes to my family and got into Owen's ute, waving as he drove us to his plot of land.

- 1 Week Time Skip -
"Work on that next piece" Owen suggested after I finished my previous chore.
"What next piece?" I growled at him, not seeing the supposed piece at all.
"That one, right there" He pointed, said piece being a tiny roof sheet about the size of a book.
"What? That little wooden tile?" I questioned, watching Owen roll his eyes before going back to his hammering.
I rolled my own eyes before my head snapped towards the sound of a car door, my eyes widening when I saw Claire walking over.
"You have got to be kidding me" I muttered to myself before climbing down my ladder and dusting my hands off with a rag.
"Hey, Owen" She tried, not calling loud enough for the male to hear as he hammered away.
"Owen!" She exclaimed, Owen pausing and muttering an "Oh, boy".
"Back for more, huh?" He asked amusedly after turning to look down at her.
"Can I buy you a beer?" Claire asked him before turning to me with a questionable expression.
"Yes, I can drink" I answered her unasked question causing her to nod.
"Did you bring 'em? Or we like gotta go somewhere?" Owen returned with a smirk making me roll my eyes.

"Bloody hell" I muttered to myself, Clair currently laughing hysterically as Owen was, somewhat, glaring at her.
"Seriously? I cant believe you think that you left me" She spoke amongst her laughter.
"Replay the conversation in your head" Owen told her as I rolled my eyes and took another mouthful of my drink, "Alright? You said 'You wanna go live in your van like a bum? Go ahead, Owen' and I said 'Okay'".
"So how is that you leaving me?" Claire questioned confused and still very amused.

"Because I left. I left you" Owen stated firmly.
"You left because I told you to"
"And then, I left. Because you didn't want to live in a van on the side of the road"
"No, no, no. Because you wouldn't let me drive the damn van for 5 minutes!"
"I'm chivalrous, alright? What can I do?"
"You are so stubborn"
"Both of change the subject please. I'm already feeling like swimming back to the island to get away from you both" I growled, my bottle empty as I had pretty much finished it during the ex-couples argument.
Both of them sighed before Owen decided to push on.
"Well, look at you know. You're saving the world" He spoke with a shrug.
"I'm trying at least. You can't just run away from everything, Owen" Claire retuned, glancing over at the people playing pool before turning back to Owen.
"So you're what? Dating an accountant now? Insurance actuary? You're skin looks nice...Dermatologist" Owen 'deduced' with a confident tone.
"Owen" Claire warned as I rolled my eyes.
"Does he check you for moles? Ventriloquist?" He tried again before I growled at him.
"She's not with anyone, you jealous meat-stick" I growled with amusement, really wishing Owen would just shut up already.
"How would you know that?" He defensively questioned with a glare.
"Because she doesn't have anyone else's scent on her, Idiot" I finalised, watching him glare at me defeatedly.
"Alright! This isn't why we're here" Claire butted in making both of us turn to her.
"Yeah, I know why we're here. Lockwood's little flunky called me. Rescue Op, save the dinosaurs from an island about to explode. What could go wrong?" Owen stated, Claire staring at him as I agreed with him.
"I'm going" Claire practically whispered.
"Don't!"
"If it's going to explode, it'll do it when you're on it just to piss you off"
"I don't have a choice" Claire spoke making Owen and I shake our heads.
"What? Of course you have a choice!" Owen argued annoyed.
"What? So, I should just build my own cabin, play pool and drink beer all day whilst these dinosaurs go extinct?" Claire questioned frustrated and sad that we were going against the dinosaurs.
"Yeah. I like pool" Owen agreed, drinking from his beer bottle as Claire glared at him.
"Blue is alive" Clair stated.
"Seriously, Claire?"
"Jesus, Claire"
"You raised her, Owen, you spent years of your life working with her...and she's your sister, Moon" Clair argued making us both roll our eyes, "You're both just gonna let her die?".
"Yes, Claire...and she's not my sister" I returned with narrowed purple eyes.
"Come on, your both better men than you both think you are" Claire tried making me sigh and lean further back into the cushioned seat.
"You should write fortune cookies" Owen spoke with an exhausted tone.
"Forget it...There's a charter flight leaving tomorrow morning, you're both on the manifest, I just wanted to let you know" Claire stated before she got up and left.
-Time Skip-
"Are you really watching those?" I asked my good friend as he sat in front of his laptop.
"Yeah" He breathed as he watched another clip of him and Blue training on her trust with him.
I shook my head before sitting down next to him, moving the laptop slightly so that we could both watch it.
"Back when the girls and you all got along" Owen muttered, pushing my shoulder slightly making me laugh lightly.
"Before they almost killed me" I returned making him laugh.
