Over the following weeks, Gaia only leaves her room to the rest of the house once a week when the Cullen family need to hunt and when she needs a blood bag. The hunting with the help of Gaia's gift actually helps as they don't have to spend hours running and hoping there are animals. Gaia never stays to make small talk with the family much to their dismay, rather she feeds, helps them feed then goes back to the safety of her room with the door locked. Or that's what the Cullen's think she does.

Once she's in her room, Gaia jumps into the forest via the window so that she can leave undetected. All of her days are spent talking to Paul and Sam, she also has met the Beta Jared but he likes to keep to himself which she respects. Sam also mentioned one day that she is allowed to cross onto the reservation but doesn't want to do that yet as she has only met three out of the whole pack so doesn't want to scare them.

Paul, her soul-brother but a stronger bond than Jasper and Emmett, has made sure to keep her company when he is available. Talking about his home situation now makes sense to the princess as to why he is never home. He doesn't have anyone there to care for him so he finds safety in her presence which she just loves. Gaia also found out that he sleeps around or flirts because he's scared of his true nature which breaks her heart.

"What do you mean you are scared of your true nature Paulie?" Gaia asks a few days after hearing his confession. Once the question is in the air, Paul tenses and sits quiet trying to regain his thoughts making sense of it all. "I umm....we shifters have to be manly. Like, muscle and abs and all the rest right? Well, how can one be manly if you are attracted to men?" His voice was so quiet and broken Gaia stopped manipulating the vines and hugs him tightly. "Paul....what are you saying? I want to make sure I get this right before I comment."

That one sentence made it clear to Paul that Gaia would stick with him throughout. She didn't push but made sure she understood the information given. A true princess. "What I'm saying sweetheart is that....I don't find women attractive. Well that's a lie. I can see their beauty but I don't feel attracted to them. I'm attracted to men or at least have the pull to men rather than women." He buries his face into her neck as silent tears fall scared of the rejection or hatred to come from her.

Gaia starts humming quietly and rubbing soothing circles on his back slowly. "It's ok to be gay Paul. Demetri is gay and he's openly so. Now that may not seem like a big thing but remember, all the vampires in my coven are from ages where it was punishable by death to find the same sex attractive. We have come so far in humanity and the vampire world toward homophobia and abolishing it that being scared to be yourself only harms you. I understand not wanting to tell your pack, they are manly men like the typical stereotype so your hesitation is understandable. What will happen when your imprint is a Male? Are you going to force yourself to stay away or accept them and your situation?" Gaia asks softly making sure not to overstep. She gently moves Paul so his head is resting on her lap and starts running her fingers through his hair.

"I don't honestly know. Imprinting is meant to be to get pups but I can't do that being gay. Well I could by adoption but....I could be banished from the tribe. There has never been a gay shifter sweetheart and I'm scared to be the first. That's why I play the Rez fuckboy. It's easier." His broken voice is so quiet normal humans wouldn't be able to hear him. Gaia just sits in silence comforting him. "Whatever you decide I'm always by your side Paulie. You're my brother, our bond is a extremely strong sibling bond. That's why you don't care about me being a human blood drinking vampire. You feel safe even though your wolf genes are saying kill."

Paul never understands the bond talk but he knows he can trust Gaia with his life and anything else. That fact always brings him back making sure she is ok.

Meanwhile, at the Cullen residence, the mates siblings are sitting around a laptop waiting for the kings to call them. A few days ago, they finally thought of a solution to Gaia's isolation and they thought of one name. Demetri. He is so she needs. She needs the comfort of someone who knows her better than herself.

The sound of a video call hangs in the air and Alice quickly accepts it making sure not to make the three kings wait. "Ah, the Cullen siblings minus one. To what do we owe this pleasure dear ones? Where is our darling princess?" Aro asks as his eyes trail all four siblings trying not to accuse them of anything but the sorrow in their eyes catches Marcus' attention.

"She Umm... she hasn't left her room to socialise in quite a few weeks. She leaves to receive a blood bag or help us feed on the elder animals or sick so we don't disrupt the population but never talks. This is due to myself and Emmett building a memorial to Didyme as Gaia needed her aura and comfort. Unfortunately, Bella destroyed all the flowers surrounding the statue and the statue itself as she thought it 'wasn't very fitting to have a statue for one person to use'. We still don't believe that's the reason. Bella has become more hostile since Gaia has been here." Jasper starts explaining but with his eyes slowly turning black, Alice squeezes his shoulders and moves him off the screen so she can calm him down.

Emmett starts taking over "We think Bella knows Gaia is Edward's true mate due to the couple kissing and cuddling around Gaia most of the time. This causes munchkin to leave the room due to her heartache. Edward is oblivious as his blood lust for the human is too much." Caius is fuming and starts to pace in the background. His hate for humans is only increasing now that a weak one has started to causes his niece such devastation.

Marcus being the calm, clearheaded one asks "and why did you call us? I know it's not just to update us on the heartache your idiotic brother is causing my daughter." His monotone voice seems to snap Aro and Caius out of whatever train of thoughts they were having. "We would like to ask a favour my kings." Rosalie's voice snaps Jasper back to his normal self and the Texan major sits back with his pixie.

"We would like Demetri to live with us to help Gaia with her situation and can also be a deterrent for Bella to find a way out of her choices. She still thinks she can join our coven no matter how many times myself and the princess tell her she only has two options. Maybe having a second Volturi member will shock her system. We also believe that having her comfort person, which we know Demetri is, May help with being around Bella while herself and my brother....bond." Jasper chokes out bond like it is venom and poison.

The three kings share a look before shouting for Demetri. "Yes my kings?" Demetri's voice is heard behind the screen on the Kings' side so the siblings know he is in the room. "Go back your bags. You are going to Forks to be with your sister. She needs you now more than ever. Edward and that human are causing her sorrow." By the looks on the kings' faces, Jasper knows Demetri is smiling and then ran out as the attention of the three males is back on the Cullens.

"He should be there by tomorrow morning. Make sure Bella is there as Demetri will have a message from us. Oh she won't like to mess with our darling flower after she hears this." Caius laughs and starts skipping off like a deranged madman.

Aro waves goodbye and cuts the call. The siblings just sit shocked before turning to each other. "I'll go tell Edward to bring Bella tomorrow morning while you three tell Carlisle and Esme." Rosalie states before walking to Edward's room. She bangs on the door with such force it could break, without waiting for an answer she walks in.

"Being Bella around tomorrow morning. There is a family meeting and she needs to be involved. No negotiation. Go get her tomorrow got it?" Without waiting for an answer she leaves to find Emmett leaving a confused and shocked Edward.

"Oh god. What have they planned now?" Edward mutters to himself quietly while running his hands over his face. Throughout the weeks without Gaia, he hasn't been himself. It's like he is missing a piece of himself but he doesn't know what's causing it.
