Twenty or so minutes after leaving the Cullens outside, I hear a scratchy and thumping sound outside my door. I listen closer and hear two heartbeats which makes me open the door immediately. Catching me off guard, I'm pushed backwards and collapse to the floor with two weights on my chest. Opening my eyes, I see Grace and Isa looking at me with concern in their eyes. "Edward called you huh? Well you can either stay here and wallow with me or go back and enjoy the forest." I say to them both as I move them to the floor and lock the bedroom door again.

"We don't want to leave you alone Gaia. We want to help!" Isa'a small voice makes me look at him with a small ghost smile as I sit back on the floor cross legged and let them sit so I can pet them. "Well, have you any ideas what I can do? I mean, that Bella person just destroyed something that signifies my mother so I don't know what to do anymore. Demetri or father would be the best to comfort me, no offence." I say the last two words quickly making sure they both know I actually appreciate them being here.

"We could go walking around the forest? I mean being surround by nature and the animals should be your happy place right? Your gifts are those so being around it should ease yourself." Grace speaks and tilts her head as she thinks. I can't help but lift her slightly and nuzzle my nose into the side of her neck softly. "You are brilliant Grace and so are you Isa. You both left your safety in the forest to come check on me. Come, we can leave out of the window so I don't see the others. Then we can get you back to your families." I move both animals gently and walk to my wardrobe. I quickly change my dress and open the window wide. I lift Isa into my right arm and Grace into my left. "Cuddle close I don't want you to get hurt." I say softly before jumping and letting them down so they can roam free. "Let's get you home and I'll wander."

After the encounter with Gaia, I took the bouquet home and to say Emily loved them would be an understatement. She loved the meaning behind all three flowers and cried happy tears.

Back to now, I'm patrolling with Paul as he just finished school and needed an outlet. "Alpha, I smell a leech close to the boundary line. Not actually crossing but close. What should we do?" I hear Paul via mind link and get slightly nervous as it could be Gaia again. "Don't engage. I'll be there soon." I command in my Alpha tone before sprinting to the treaty line in my black wolf form.

Getting closer I can smell the vampire scent but also flowers which means it's Gaia that's wandering again. I shift behind a tree and walk closer to her. "I didn't think I would see you again so soon." I spoke softly making sure not to startle her, as I finish speaking she turns and gives me a warm smile. "Alpha Sam, pleasure you see you again and in your human form no less. Oooooo" she squeals suddenly and walks as close to the line as possible looking at the pack tattoo. "That tattoo is just gorgeous! The Quilete pack tattoo is breathtaking, tell the artist that done it I love their work please." She squeals still full of excitement as she bounces on her toes.

Unfortunately, her excitement makes Paul growl as he thinks she is going to attack due to her being so close to the treaty line. Her eyes wide before composing herself and stepping back to keep a respectful distance between us. "Paul stand down. This is Gaia if you shift back you can talk properly even though she can talk to your wolf." I say dismissing it like it's normal for a vampire to understand wolves. Paul looks at me like I'm crazy "what do you mean she can understand us?"

Gaia's giggle makes him look back at her with anger in his eyes "It means Gamma Paul that I can understand animals hence I can understand you in your wolf form. I would much rather talk to a human that isn't Bella though." As she speaks about Bella, the sparkle in her eyes dims slightly which worries me. Even though I've only known her hours, she reminds me of a sister or friend that you protect wholeheartedly.

"What has Bella done princess?" I walk forward and sit at the treaty line ignoring Paul's whines of protest. She sits opposite me on the Cullen side and starts growing peace lilies as she looks at Paul urging him to shift. "I mean no harm Paul. If you have been to the pack house, the flowers Emily has were a peace offering from me to Sam for her. I truly just want friends." She says softly and how can anyone have ill feelings for her? Gaia is like a flower princess from children stories.

Paul shifts, changes and stands behind me still guarded as he is conversing with a being he is meant to dislike. "What did Bella do leech?" Paul's gruff voice startles her slightly but doesn't see it as a bad omen, instead she just smiles and looks into his eyes. "Well Gamma Paul, the Cullens....no. My brothers, Jasper and Emmett decided to surprise me with a memorial for my vampire mother, Queen Didyme as that was the only thing that kept me sane while in Volterra, Italy. I needed comfort from her aura last night due to Edward kissing Bella. Now that may not seem like a big thing but it is when he is my true mate, sort of like how it would be to see your imprint kissing someone else." She takes an unsteady breath and I lean forward and give her hand a slight squeeze. I wasn't expecting her to be so cold but it doesn't deter me as I can see in her eyes how much she needed it.

She gives me a slight nod in thanks before continuing "So, seeing my true mate with a blood singer is truly heartbreaking. I needed her comfort and somewhere to escape from all the Cullens. So, when they came back from school today they both blindfolded me and took me outside and there, in all it's glory was a statue devoted to Didyme. I sat for an hour creating the floral arrangements around the floor then a further thirty minutes creating a crown that included live butterflies. When Bella came, she didn't like the fact everyone was around me and it I suppose and trampled all of the flowers....and pushed the statue smashing it into pieces." The venom tears in her eyes break my heart.

"So, Bella the bitch she is, destroyed something that true sentimental value to you and was dedicated to royalty?" Paul's voice surprised me slightly but she just nods. The next thing, Paul crosses the treaty line and sits next to her pulling her into a side hug. I look at him like he's just confessed he's a girl.

"I never liked her anyway but now I truly despise her. I would understand if it was for her but it was made specifically for you. But...I don't mean to be rude. Why are you here?" Paul asks softly keeping his arm around her. She looks into his eyes while I watch Paul and try to stifle a laugh as a pink flower crown form on his head.

"Well Edward came to the Volturi which is my coven in Italy because he thought his 'mate' was dead." When she said mate she surrounded it with air quotes confusing me slightly. "So, when I looked at him, I felt the pull of a mate. I asked my father and he confirmed the depressed vampire in front of me was my true mate something much stronger than an ordinary mate. My uncles, being the other two kings dismissed his want to die due to her not actually being his mate or true mate. Edward caused a big fuss. Next thing we know, Bella along with Alice are there and Edward won't hear sense. Alice knew straight away I was his true mate so her eyes just held pity and sorrow, she knew that the only way to save him was Bella but that would also cause me heartache. Now, humans knowing the vampire world is not allowed so Bella has two options. She thinks it's three but it's two."

As she finished, there was a sound to our right and we all turned. Surprisingly, a small fawn and a large deer come out and the fawn runs straight to Gaia and sits in her lap. The deer just lays beside her "I'll make sure to tell the Cullens to only hunt when I'm there to make sure they don't hunt parents." Gaia's soft voice is heard over the silence, Paul and myself look around to see who she is talking to before we see she is looking at the deer to her right.

"Anyway, her two options are turn and join the Volturi or die. She thinks she can stay with the Cullens but unfortunately for her, when she no longer has blood in her veins Edward won't be obsessed with her and the love he feels will disappear and he will want me. I am hear, one to be close to my true mate otherwise I will die and two, to make sure she actually turns and goes back to Volterra." After she explains that, Paul hugs her tightly again and I presume whispering how he hates Edward and Bella.

We stay there for hours just talking about our lives and she tells us about Demetri and her father. Mainly the pranks her and Demetri play on someone called Felix who she explained is the Volturi Emmett making it easier to understand. I can see a bond between the princess and Paul forming as he is never this relaxed so I quietly leave and shift making my way back home to spend time with my fiancée.
