《My Blind Princess》Chapter 24

Samael smiled as he softly placed Eva on his bed. Being with his beloved pleased him more than anything in the world. Being close to Eva made him invincible.
Eva slowly shuffled around and a small smile formed on her face as she cuddled into the bed. Sam didn't realize how much he missed his Beloved. He never wanted to feel that helpless ever in his life.
He pulled Eva closer to him, and she snuggled into him. Both vampires in a state of constant content. Eva's eyes fluttered closed, and Samael smiled as he, too, was able to relax finally. Pretty soon, the day would come that he would take her back to his kingdom, and he would succeed the throne with his beloved by his side.
Samael placed gentle kisses on Eva's temple until sleep eventually came.
The following day came, and both vampires were fully asleep.
Alana lightly knocked on the bedroom door. When she didn't receive an answer, she decided to return at a later time. Alana sighed and headed to the training room to start her workout routine.
Calvin soon joined, and both of them started to spar.
After about an hour, both Calvin and Alana were utterly exhausted.
"When will you guys be heading back?" Alana asked as she sat down on a bench and drank from her water bottle.
"As soon as Eva is healthy enough to travel. I'm pretty sure Samael will want to take her to the Vampire Kingdom. He's neglected his duties long enough."
Alana didn't say anything in return. She desperately swallowed the lump in her throat and avoided looking at Calvin.
Alana was sorrowful her best friend would be leaving soon.
After a couple of minutes of sparring, Calvin and Alana decided to head back to the Packhouse.
Alana smiled as she walked past the kitchen and spotted Eva nibbling away at strawberries.
A mischievous smile appeared on Alana's face as she tiptoed her way into the kitchen.
"Please tell me you're going to take a bath before breakfast," Eva mumbled out as she continued with her strawberries.
Alana sighed as she slumped down on a chair next to Eva.

"Seriously, every time!" Alana complained.
Eva chuckled and sat back in her seat.
"I'm blind, not deaf," Eva joked.
Alana chuckled, but her smile didn't last long. She looked at Eva, and a lump formed in her throat once more. Eve had been her best friend for a very long time. She couldn't imagine a world where Eva was not by her side.
"So when are you leaving?" Alana mumbled as she quickly looked away from her best friend.
"Sam wants us to leave on Monday," Eva replied in a soft tone.
"Monday? That's two days away!" Alana complained as she grabbed onto Eva's shoulders.
"I know, but the sooner we leave, the sooner I can start my Queen training, and the sooner I can help him when he takes over the throne," Eva tried to reason.
Alana bit at her lower lip in frustration. She was going to miss Eva. Yet she let go of her best friend and took in a deep breath.
"I understand" Alana bit out those words like venom. She didn't want Eva to leave so soon, but she couldn't hold back her best friend because of some petty feelings.
"Don't worry, Alana, I'll come and visit" Eve tried to cheer up a brooding Alana.
Alana scoffed as a bitter smile formed on her face.
"You better" Alana bit the inside of her cheek to keep tears from forming on her face.
She pulled Eva into a tight hug.
"As long as you're happy," Alana whispered into her best friend's ear.
"Thank you... for everything," Eva whispered as she held back tears.
Eva was grateful for her friends, her family but, most of all, her pack. This was her home for a very long time, and in just two days, she would have to leave this place and form a new home with a new family of her own.
Eva desperately tried to swallow her emotions as she thought about all the new experiences awaiting her.
Alana pulled away from Eva and smiled as she wiped a traitorous tear roll down Eva's face.
"Promise you'll come and visit," Alana demanded.
"Of course I will; this will never stop being my home," Eva smiles.

Both girls decided that enough tears had been shed and ate breakfast.
Soon enough, Samael and Calvin walked in. Samael placed a soft kiss on Eva's cheek and greeted Alana with a slight bow.
Calvin, on the other hand, smiled and slumped an arm around Alana's shoulders.
"Be honest, you're going to miss me, aren't you, sweetness" Calvin joked with a smirk on his face.
"Don't be ridiculous; I'm counting down the hours until you're gone," Alana joked back.
"Don't worry, babe, I'll come back and visit," Calvin teased.
Alana chuckled and pushed Calvin away.
Alpha Vasiliev walked into the kitchen with an annoying king on his tail.
"You have to reconsider it, Alpha Vasiliev."
"No, I don't. If we go off of strength, I am the second in rank." Alpha Vasiliev grumbled as he tried to get away from the King.
"That is just a technicality; You know Alpha Voin doesn't want anything to do with being the next werewolf king." King Zane grumbled.
"The only reason King Cole had any control over Voin and his pack were because he didn't attempt to order Voin around. Do you have any idea what Voin will do if I even try to hold any power over Voin?" Alpha Vasiliev signed out in annoyance.
"Rumor has it he found his mate; he should be way more docile than before. Why not hold a pack meeting with him" King Zane tried to coerce Alpha Vasiliev.
Both King Zane and Alpha Vasiliev did not pay any attention to the kitchen's young and future rulers.
Alana cleared her throat and quickly obtained the attention of everyone in the room.
"If you guys are talking about who's going to take over the Werewolf King position, you should discuss that with Alpha Knight. She is Alpha Voin's mate, so if anyone could reason with him, surely it would be his mate." Alana tried to explain.
Both men were in complete surprise since neither one of them even thought of speaking with Alpha Knight.
"You are right; we could just talk with Alpha Knight and have her convince Alpha Voin."
"Convince me of what?" A deep voice rumbled in the house. Everyone was now on full alert as Alpha Voin walked down the hallway and into the kitchen.
"Alpha Voin? What are you doing here? Why wasn't I informed of your visit?" Alpha Vasiliev spoke as he turned to the tall, dark-haired man in the Kitchen entryway.
"One of Kaelynn's witches transported me here directly. I needed to speak to you about the werewolf King."
"Will you be taking over as werewolf King" King Zane smirked as he asked the question that had been on everyone's mind.
"No, Although my pack is ranked the strongest, I honestly don't want the hassle and the work that comes with being a royal."
"What's not to love? You can boss everyone around" King Zane smiled as he attempted to charm Alpha Voin into taking the role of King of werewolves.
"I already boss people around. Also, I am not willing to relocate my pack to the Royal castle."
"But-"
"I understand. Then what will happen to the King position? If we do nothing soon, the Packs that sided with the royal will attempt a coup." Alpha Vasiliev spoke as he cut King Zane off.
"We will form a Counsel, all 12 Alpha's of the North America Region will meet, and we will all pick two older members to represent our packs. From then on, they will decide what will happen," Alpha Voin spoke in a 'matter-of-fact' way.
Alpha Voin in no way lacked power. He held authority in his voice and struck fear into those who opposed him. Alpha Voin was not lacking in any way nor did anyone dare look down at him.
"Very well then. We will spread the word and have everyone meet at the royal castle. From there, we will assign that as a treaty land, and only council members will be able to visit and discuss future problems."
No one in the kitchen at the time knew that the council would play a massive role in the next war that was going to break out.

Will You Be Alone? After The End? Don't You Know We're All Still Here?
More than a century ago the world was devastated, but that doesn't matter. Nobody cares about the past, stories from that time are as wildly conflicting as they are ridiculous--when any stories exist at all. There are problems in the here and now that need to be dealt with, bringing the past into things isn't going to help anyone. The fact is that young people all over the world are developing mysterious powers, and the public reactions to these powers are far from positive. Fair enough, you might say. Who wants a young man around who can conjure heat from the palm of his hand? How deeply undesirable is a girl who can bend your emotions to her will? What use, I ask you, is a girl whose very essence crackles with lightning? No use at all, I'd say. As for this so-called Mr Fin and his grand ideals, well, all I can say is that his clothing is of better quality than his plans. Vague allusions to a 'sanctuary' and a 'mysterious and powerful statue' are all very well, but when it comes to solid results I fear you may find him somewhat lacking. Mark my words and mark them well, following one such as him will only lead to tears. All in all, I'd say there's not much you could reasonably expect from a world such as this. Conflict, perhaps. Hardship, certainly. Despair, heartache, loss... ...hope? No, don't be ridiculous. Where could one find hope, in this ruin of an existence? Honestly, I am asking. Where?Discord
