《My Blind Princess》Chapter 25

A week had passed since Eva had moved to the Vampire Castle. Life was pretty good, and she was a quick study. Thankfully her Queen duties were reasonably similar to that of her beta duties. Sam had quickly started to learn his requirements as the next King.
King Zane was relaxing in his chambers when his beloved walked in with a grin plastered on her face.
"She knows how to do everything!" The Vampire queen shouted with happiness.
"Everything we teach her she learns in a matter of days!" The Queen continued with praise.
"Samael is going to be the best King our race has ever had!" She shouted with glee.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but I am right here." King Zane huffed as he watched his beloved smile.
"You know what I mean," The Queen chuckled.
"Although she is blind, she is brilliant and adapts rather quickly to anything we throw at her; I honestly feel our son lacks next to Eva," The Queen mumbled.
"Samael got lucky; she is an excellent match for him," The King agreed as he sat upon his bed.
The King yawned and scratched at the tiny grey hairs growing from his beard. He was getting older, and his body was beginning to age accordingly. The sheets that had previously covered him fell to his waist to display his muscular chest. The Queen, unfazed by her beloved, walked back and forth across the room. The royal chamber held a King sized bed fit for Royalty, but the room itself also contained a desk and a couple of bookshelves with books about Royal duties.
The Queen picked up a couple as she opened them and read a couple of pages.
King Zane watched as she engulfed herself in her work. He was a bit irritated that the Queen had yet to notice his bare chest.
"Sweetheart, why don't you come to bed, and we can rest a bit."
A smirk formed on the King's face as disturbing images of his beloved popped in his head. Certain positions and facial expressions the Queen made that were for his eyes only excited him.
"Uriel, you need to get out of bed; stop being lazy. It is two o'clock in the afternoon, and I'm pretty sure you haven't even showered. "The Queen spoke as she looked at him.
She didn't give him another glance as she continued to read her book.

King Zane's ego took a significant dive at his beloved's words. How could she look at him and not find him attractive? He was very good looking for his age, and He knew for a fact he did not lack in any other department. Why wasn't his beloved Queen not obsessed with him like he was with her?
The King sat back and crossed his arms over his chest. A pout formed on his face as he tried not to feel attacked at his lover's words.
"I'll be handing over my position as King soon; why should I be working? I need a vacation." The King continued to pout.
"Samael will be taking over the throne in two months; you still have a job to do." The Queen replied as she continued to read.
"Yeah, well, I don't want to. What's the point of being the boss of everyone if I can't do what I want? I am not going to get up today, and that's final." The King huffed like a child.
King Zane was a powerful individual, his speed and strength could rival groups of werewolves, yet when his beloved Vampire queen shot him a distinct look, his blood would run cold.
Queen Adira was a relatively small woman in stature. At the height of five feet, she was tiny next to her six-foot-tall King. However, her size did not hinder her in any form. She was a powerful woman. Her mocha skin made many women envious of her. Her colored eyes stood out in a crowd, and her rich curls bounced with each step she took. Adira radiated power and elegance.
Adira didn't encourage King Zanes' behavior, and she often found herself giving her beloved a specific look. A look that a young Samael knew all too well.
With even moving her lips, her eyes spoke for her.
King Zane slightly flinched as Queen Adira's eye met his. He quickly cleared his throat and pushed the covers off his lap. His body moved on its own as he pulled some clothes on and walked out of the royal chambers. Adira's eye did not stray from her beloved as he dressed. She didn't even blink.
Once King Zane left the room, she sighed and continued with her book. She was planning out the next couple of lessons she would give Eva.
~
"Your Majesty, Princess Eva would like to have lunch with you," an attendant spoke as he slightly bowed before Prince Samael.

A smile formed on Samael's face as he heard Eva's name. He had not seen his beloved for a couple of hours, and he was beginning to grow weary. All of his studies to become the next King was interrupting his time with Eva. Not to mention she was always so busy with her queen lessons that she didn't have much time for Samael either.
"Yes, Inform my beloved Princess that I wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Yes, your majesty," The attendant spoke as he quickly left the room.
Prince Samael continued with his work until he was called for lunch. Samael felt as if minutes became hours and hours were infinite. His desire to see his beloved grew with every passing moment. Until soon, irritation filled him as he looked at the clock to see that only 5 minutes had passed.
With a huff, he stood from his desk and walked out of his office. He couldn't wait any longer, and he had to see Eva.
He followed her lingering scent until he came across the grand ballroom. The doors were open, and a smoothing symphony filled the luxurious room. He watched as Eva danced with one of the Vampire attendants. A smile formed on his lips, and a chuckle escaped as Eva accidentally stepped on the attendant.
"I'm so sorry," Eva apologized as the music suddenly stopped.
Eva quickly let go of the attendant and sighed.
"How is it that I can master almost anything you throw at me except for ballroom dancing." Eva huffed as she crossed her arms across her chest.
It was only then that Samael noticed his mother across from Eva with a smirk on her face and a small luxurious oriental hand fan in her hands.
"Eva, I'm glad I finally found something that you can't learn in two days," Queen Adira chuckled.
"This isn't funny If I am going to be queen-"
"When you become Queen. Not if, When," Queen Adira corrected.
"Fine, When I become queen, I need to be a Royal worthy of standing next to Sam," Eva complained as she started to bite the inside of her cheek. Her forefinger tapped against her arm in frustration.
It was then Samael decided to interrupt the dance lesson.
"Excuse me, but would it be alright if I have the next dance?" Sam smiled as he strides towards Eva.
She was dressed elegantly in a complete ballroom gown. It was red with Golden aspects that made her skin shine like diamonds.
Samael was entirely mesmerized by Eva. Everything about her entranced him. He loved this person in front of him so much it frightened him.
Eva smiles and slowly lifts her hand in front of her. No words are spoken, but Sam knows exactly what to do. He gently grabs her hand and places a small kiss on it. A smile erupts from Eva's face as she lifts her other hand to hold onto Sam's shoulder.
The music begins, and Eva lets Sam take complete control over the dancing. Soon both of them are gliding across the ballroom. No mistakes are made, and both people are totally in sync with one another.
Adira watches in awe as the couple dance. The music soon stops, but neither Sam nor Eva stops dancing. They are utterly alone in the ballroom, and Sam does not take his eyes off his beloved. Eva smiles as her eyes are closed, and she is in her happy place.
Adira clears her throat, causing Sam and Eva to stop.
"Beautiful, I could not find any mistakes. I see now that Eva needed the correct dance partner." Adria smiles as a slight blush forms on Eva's cheeks.
"We should end our lesson here. I am sure you guys have some plans made. I am also pretty sure your father is looking for me" Adira chuckles as she exits the room.
The servants are quick to follow the Queen leaving Sam and Eva alone in the ballroom. At first, nothing is said until Eva clears her throat.
"We should probably get going. I'm sure your busy after lunch as well."
Sam places a gentle kiss on Eva's cheek but says nothing.
He leads Eva to the door, where she touches the door and feels around for the handle. Every fiber in Sam's being yells at him to help her, but he knows that Eva doesn't like to rely too much on others.
Eva finally manages to open the door, and a wave of relief fills Sam. They leave the ballroom and head to the dining room—both hand in hand and happily in love.

I got the idea from a meme saying it'd b cool of someone wrote that as a fanfic. So, I figured I'd give it a go. It's just going to be a short little thing, but I think the story is still cute.
