"His Highness will see you in just a moment." One of the castle workers spoke as he led everyone into a large office.

Alexandrov thanked the man as he excused himself and left all three of them alone.

"What do you think he'll be like?" Alana questioned as she helped Eva to her seat.

"Alana, I beg of you please behave." Alexandrov warned.

"Daddy, I always behave." Alana smirked.

Alexandrov and Alana both took a seat and waited for the King to show up.

"You are awfully quiet" Alana spoke up as she glanced at Eva.

"Well, what can I say? I've been against this whole meeting from the beginning."

"Eva, we don't want to ask for help as much as you do but we have too. Sometimes in life, you do things your not proud of just to make sure your family is safe." Alexandrov spoke as he placed a warm hand on Eva's shoulder.

"Yes Alpha" Eva muttered.

What could she possibly say back? She knew that if the Vampire Kingdom agreed to help they would be able to fight the werewolf king but she also knew that nothing in life is free. Eva had a gut feeling that maybe the price of owing the vampire kingdom would require something from them that they simply couldn't pay.

"We spoke with all of the other Packs. We all agreed that asking for help could be a smart move." Alana added.

Eva took a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves. She wasn't sure what was going on with her but since the pool, she hasn't been able to keep the butterflies in her stomach at bay. Were they there because of the man? Or because something horrible was about to happen. Either way, she had to make sure that neither Alana or Alpha Vasiliev got hurt.

The sound of the large door opening caught the attention of all three people in the room. Everyone stood from their seats and turned to face the king.

"Good Afternoon, I apologize for my tardiness. Please have a seat." The king spoke as he walked to his large leather chair behind his desk.

As the king sat down two men stood behind him in a protective pose. No doubt they were his bodyguards.

Alana once again helped Eva to sit and sat. Alexandrov sat and greeted the king.

"Good Afternoon your Highness, we appreciate the meeting."

"Well, when the vampire council said that the matter was urgent it wasn't like I had much of a choice. It isn't every day that the great Alpha Alexandrov Vasiliev request an audience with the king."

"So tell me, what can I do for you?" The King added.

Alexandrov quickly began to explain their situation to the king. Alana added her thoughts a couple of times but Alexandrov did most of the talking. Eva, however, remained silent through the entire thing. She didn't say a word.

The King did find it odd. Here we're these werewolves asking for help for her and yet she said nothing.

"If I may I would like to speak privately with Ms.Stone" The King interrupted shocking Alexandrov and Alana.

"With all due respect, your highness-" Alana began but was quickly cut off by Eva.

Eva had placed her hand on Alana's knee in a comforting way. When Alana and Alexandrov turned to look at her, she simply nodded.

Reluctantly both Alphas left the room accompanied by the King's guards.

"Your friends are here requesting my help and yet you have nothing to say?" The King questioned.

"They are not my friends, they are my family." Eva replied in a calm manner.

The scoff that came from the King ticked Eva off. Was he making fun of her?

"Family? They are wolves and you are a vampire. Surely you don't believe that they could ever be your-"

"With all due respect your highness. We came here to ask for your help. Not, so you can sit here and judge me or my FAMILY." Eva spoke as she emphasized the word family.

"That is rather bold of you." The king spoke as he sat back and observed the fierce Vampire in front of him. He had never met someone willing to cut him off and in a weird way, he found it quite refreshing, although he would never tell her that.

"I meant no disrespect but as you can see we are in desperate need of help. Since the beginning, I have been against coming here but my family insisted on it."

"Why is that?"

"Excuse me?"

"Why have you been against the idea of coming here to ask for our help? We are of the same kind. You are one of us." The king spoke in a calm tone.

"I disagree, my parents were hunted like animals when I was just but a child. During the chase, my family reached out to many friends to look after me while they led the Hunters away. Every single one said no. In the end, my parents came across a pack that was willing to help even though the hunters were hot on our trail. Even though I was blind and a vampire. They didn't care. On top of that they took me in I was given a home and a family. I wanted for nothing while in the pack and when the news came of my parents passing they were the ones to console me and give me something to live for."

"So, Your Majesty, of course, I didn't want to ask for help from the people who turned their backs on me in the first place." Eva spoke with distaste.

"If that were the case then why did you? I understand that your family wanted to but in the end, why did you show up as well? You could have just stayed in your pack" The king smirked as he watched the fierce young blood.

"Because I wasn't going to let anyone hurt them. I have been betrayed before by vampires and I have been betrayed by Royals as well. But I'll be damned if anything happens to my family or my pack. So if they wanted to come and Bow down to the likes of you and your kind. Then I had to come as well." Eva spoke in a definitive tone.

She stood from her seat and simply sighed.

"The ball is in your court, your majesty. If you do decide to help I would appreciate it and if you don't... Well, I won't exactly be surprised."

After she spoke Eva bowed and started to walk out of the room. That is until she bumped into someone who came rushing in.

"Father I-" The man spoke as he opened the door and walked inside.

His words were cut short when his chest bumped with someone making them take a step back. His instincts kicked in and he quickly grabbed a hold of the person's arm to make sure they were okay.

That was until he noticed that the person was none other than the pool goddess he had seen while at the hotel.

"I'm sorry are you okay?" Samuel questioned as he bent a bit to look at her face.

She was even more beautiful up close. Her green eyes were fierce but they lacked focus. Proving to Samael that she was in fact blind.

"I'm fine." Eva mumbled as she slowly pulled her arm away from Samael's grip.

"Am I interrupting something?" Samuel questioned as he noticed the tensed air in the room.

"No, I was just leaving. Please excuse me, Prince." Eva whispered as she bowed once more and walked out of the room.

Samuel couldn't help but watch as the goddess walked away from him. This was the second time she did that and yet he was more fascinated and intrigued.

"What can I do for you my son?"

The words of his father broke Samael from his trance and he turned to face him.

"I um... I came in to um... Oh! Right, I came to see what the meeting with the werewolves was about... Who is she?" Samael questioned as he looked at his father.

The King examined his son. Something was off. Samael was charming and never had a problem with women. Yet it seemed like this woman, in particular, made his son malfunction in some way. This was another thing the king found rather interesting.

"She was with the werewolves. She has come to ask for my protection against the Werewolf King."

"Why is that? Why would King Cole be after her in the first place?" Samael questioned in an annoyed tone.

"Apparently she is the mate of Prince Cole."

"Martin? Martin Cole?"

"Is there another Prince Cole that I am unaware of?" The king smirked at his son's aggravated tone.

"Martin Cole is worthless scum. He doesn't deserve her... She is way too good for him" Sam spat.

"If I didn't know any better Sam I would say that you are infatuated with Ms. Stone"

Samael looked up at his father with shock all across his face. He scoffed and softly smiled.

"Don't be ridiculous father, I am simply saying that Martin is trash. Any woman would be too good for him not just Eva."

"Eva?" The king questioned with a knowing smile.

"I- I mean Ms. Stone" Samael corrected himself.

The king chuckled but decided that Samael should know the whole situation.

"Anyway, it seems that Prince Cole rejected Ms. Stone and then proceeded to coerce the King to let him have her as a concubine. When Alpha Vasiliev refused and Ms. Stone's 'Father' Beta Stone attacked the Prince. The king declared war on their pack. Of course, if they were to hand Eva over the King would forget everything that happened."

"That disgusting rat." Samael seethed as he gripped onto one of the chairs.

"How dare he. We have to help them." Sam spoke out and looked at his father.

King Zane had already decided to help but seeing this side of his son made him want to laugh. There was no doubt in his mind that Samael had fallen for this fierce woman. As every minute passed the King found Eva more and more interesting.

"Why should we?" The king teased. He wanted Sam to admit his feelings for her. He definitely had them.

"Father! She is one of us! Also just because Martin is a royal doesn't give him the right to treat someone like crap!"

"Are you suggesting I join in a fight that has nothing to do with me?" The king smirked. Just how far could he push his son?

"If you won't then I will!" Samael yelled as he slammed his hand on his father's desk.

The king wanted to laugh but decided to keep his composure.

"Very well Sam, form a team for you to head to The Green Forest Pack and help them out with anything they need. Of course, I am much too busy to go myself so you will have to go in my place. Make sure you do everything Ms. Stone request of you." The King smirked as he spoke.

"I will" Samael nodded at his father's orders and headed out of the room. Leaving the King alone. Samael was now on a mission.

"Ms. Stone I believe you already have my son wrapped around your finger. I would love to see you make him dance." The king chuckled to himself as he stood and walked out of the room.
