《My Blind Princess》Chapter 11

The music hummed in Eva's ears. The soothing sound of the piano relaxed her as she read her book. She was completely cut off from the real world and was totally immersed in her book.
Although Eva would usually stay alert, for some reason she felt like she could be at ease. Maybe it was because she was with Alana. She felt safe and secure. She had no need to fear anyone of anything.
That was until someone tapped her shoulder and made her jump out of her skin.
She roughly pulled her earphones from her ears and closed her book.
"Can I help you?" Eva questioned as she sat up and listened for who was around her.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to come and say Hello."
"Oh okay. Well... Hello" Eva mumbled as she leaves back and closed her eyes. She once again began to place her earphones in.
"Actually I wanted to know if you would like to have a drink with me." The man mumbled.
If Eva didn't know any better she would say that the man sounded a bit shy. She didn't know why but his voice gave her butterflies.
"I'm sorry, I don't drink." Eva smiled back.
It wasn't often that Eva cursed her blindness. She had lived with it all her life so she was used to it by now but for some reason, right now while talking with this stranger all she wanted to do was see. She wanted to get a good look at him.
Is he good looking? Is he ugly? Would she be able to tell the difference? What did ugly look like? What did beauty look like?
These questions ran through Eva's mind a million miles a minute.
"Eva? Are you okay?" Alana questioned as she neared her best friend. Alana softly tugged at the towel that Eva had been holding and Eva let go.
Alana wrapped herself in her towel and sat next to Eva.
"Hello, I'm Alana. Nice to meet you" Alana greeted the man sitting in the chair next to Eva.
"Nice to meet you, I am Samael." Samael responded as he cleared his throat.
"Did you need something from Eva?" Alana questioned as she examined the man from head to toe.

He was very good looking that was obvious but he seemed to maintain a powerful Aura which kept Alana's wolf at bay. Something about this man seemed odd.
"Actually I just wanted to know if she would like to have drinks with me later?"
"I don't drink." Eva mumbled once again.
"I'm sorry Eva doesn't drink Alcohol and we actually have to leave already. We have a meeting in a few minutes."
"What time is it?" Eva questioned in a more alert tone now.
Her carefree bookworm side had taken a back seat to the Beta power in her. She was now in Beta mode.
"It's almost time for our meeting" Alana responded.
Eva gasped and stood up. She turned to where she had heard the man and quickly bowed.
"I'm sorry I'm not blowing you off but we really must be going." Eva apologized as she stood once again and started to grab her things.
Alana quickly helped and excused herself from Samael. Both ladies hurried out of the pool area and rushed to their room.
Samael sat in silence as he watched the spellbinding woman leave. He had never experienced anything like this before.
Usually, women threw themselves at him and it drove him crazy. He didn't like the fact that they were only after his power and wealth. But this woman... This woman was different. She was... Interesting to say the least.
"Eva" He repeated under his breath.
The way her name just rolled off his tongue made a shiver run down his spine. He definitely needed to see her again.
"So Prince Charming got shot down. That doesn't happen often. How does it feel?" Calvin joked as he stood next to Samael.
"It feels... Interesting." Samael mumbled in a trance.
"Seriously Sammy what has gotten into you? I've never seen you like this." Calvin questioned as he looked at his best friend in worry.
Calvin was no longer sure that Sam was even there. It's like the Prince Samael melted into a puddle of nothing after meeting some random woman.
"Is she your Beloved?" Calvin questioned.
At the mention of Beloved Samael quickly woke up from his trance and shot up from his seat.

"Don't be ridiculous Calvin" Samael reprimanded.
"You know very well my Beloved is dead." Samael spoke as he ground his teeth together.
"But what if she is a second chance Beloved?"
"That's enough. You damn well know we aren't werewolves. We never get a second chance Beloved. That only happens in stories."
Calvin refrained from speaking and decided to leave the Prince alone. He knew too well what had happened to Sammy's beloved.
Samael turned to the chair where Eva had been just a few minutes ago and saw a book on the floor. The book that Eva had been reading. He bent down and swiftly picked it up. Samael smiled and tucked the book under his arm. He decided it was time to go home.
| In The Room |
"Is it really almost time?" Eva questioned as she sat on her bed.
"Yes. The King moved up the meeting time. Father Mind-Linked me in the pool. We need to get ready."
Eva simply nodded and placed her things on her bed. She was more than happy to take off her two piece bathig suit and put on some regular clothes.
"Eva?" Alana questioned as she stood in the room stark naked.
"Yeah?" Eva questioned as she continued to pull out clothe from her suitcase.
"Where is your book?"
"What?" Eva gasped as she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Your book. The one you had at the pool where is it? Did you forget it?"
"I-I must have left it." Eva mumbled as she tried to think back to when she was at the pool.
Unfortunately the man's voice was all she could clearly remember. The rest was simply all hazy. Had she really forgotten her book behind? That never happened. She always made sure to carry her books with her.
"Relax, once we are dressed we can head back to the pool and look for it." Alana soothed Eva.
Eva simply nodded and hugged her best friend. Something was wrong. Could that man really have affected Eva so much that she would forget something so important to her?
"Alana..."
"Yeah?"
"Put some clothes on please." Eva chcukled as she let go of her best friend.
Alana simply chuckled and quickly put some clothes on. After putting on a pair of undergarments and a short flower sundress, Alana put on a pair of heels.
Eva grabbed her clothes and headed to the bathroom, where she undressed and dressed in a black short sundress as well. Eva walked out of the bathroom and sat on the bed while Alana helped her put on a pair of strapy sandals.
Although Eva was more than capable of putting on her sandals, since a young age Alana always helped Eva with her shoes. At this point, it had become second nature to them and they thought nothing of it.
Once both ladies were dressed they headed back to the pool area to see if they could find Eva's book. Unfortunately for them the pool was empty and there were no signs of the book.
"Oh I'm sorry Eva, I guess someone saw it and took it. Don't worry we can always buy you a new one." Alana softly spoke as she tried to lift Eva's spirit.
Eva simply sighed and decided it wasn't that important. She had read the book multiple times that she knew it by heart. There was no use reading it since she knew every single word from the book. She could recite the book by heart at this point.
Both ladies quickly headed to the lobby where they met up with Alpha Alexandrov.
"Daddy, did the King mention why he moved up the meeting?" Alana questioned as all three walked out of the Hotel and climbed into a car that the King had sent for them.
"He simply said that something urgent had come up and he would have to meet with us earlier than expected." Alexandrov spoke as he fixed his tie in the car.
Eva sat back and simply kept to herself while Alana and Alexandrov decided on what they were going to say.
Eva thought to herself about the weird yet interesting man that she had met down at the pool. Who was he? It had her perplexed.

The Tower Must Fall - Combat Gardener
If you're interested in a conceptual, ground-up rewrite leave a comment and tell me what you loved about it. I've got a pretty good idea of what everyone hated so there's no need for expounding on that. Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for? Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down! Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future. Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees. Season One complete. Permanent Hiatus, Pending Rewrite. Important notes: -LitRPG fantasy -Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you. -This story opens with a negative situation and an emotional growth arc for the main character. Please don't review until chapter 30 because the arc is not complete until that chapter. (Chapters are short, that's an average RR book's chapter 10) -No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance -Questions? Please ask!
