《Into You》Chapter Six

-Next day-
I woke up and felt someone on top of me. I looked and saw Dominic's head in my neck.
I smiled and traced his nose. He was very handsome. I thought he was sexy but when you see him very upclose he is very handsome.
I heard him groan and he opened his eyes.
"Hey", I said, quietly.
"Morning", he said.
He sat up and looked at me. He moved my hair out my face and smiled a little.
"How you feel?"
"Broken, hurt, and sad"
He frowned a little and kissed my nose. I blushed a little.
"You want to talk about it?"
"No, I don't want to cry anymore"
"I told you that nigga was no good"
"I know but when you been with someone for 4 years, you are kind of blind at what they do. You feel your relationship will last forever but in the end you know it's too good to be true"
"Do you feel like I would do you like?"
"To be honest, I don't know but I don't really trust any guys right now. Everything that they saw seem like a lie now"
"So what if I said I'm very interested?"
"You're lying"
"So you don't trust me?"
"Not really"
"Maybe I should leave then"
He got up and sighed then laid back down.
"Thought you were leaving?"
"I can't leave you when I know you are broken at the moment because I like you too much to leave you alone"
I smiled a little.
"What if I keep rejecting you?"
"Just know I can't wait forever"
.
-Few hours later-
I walked inside of my house and saw Terrance sitting on the couch. I walked in the living room and he looked at me.

"I came to get my shit, you can keep the house and just leave me the fuck alone", I told him.
I walked upstairs and walked the bedroom. I started packing all my stuff up.
"So that's it? We're done?", I heard him behind me.
"Yup"
"We been together for 4 years and you just going to drop it"
"You wanted to be a hoe so I'm going to let you be a hoe"
"But baby"
"I'm not baby, go back to your white bitch"
"Leah"
"Shut the fuck up Terrance! I'm tired of you! Dominic is probably a better man than you"
"So you leaving me for another nigga?"
"No, I'm leaving you because I'm not about to be a down ass chick for a bitch ass nigga"
He got quiet and just stood there.
I finished packing my stuff and walked past him. I walked downstairs with my bags.
I looked at him one more time.
"Have a nice life Terrance"
.
I was fixing the sheets in the guest room at Alexis' house. She was going to let me stay here until I found my own place.
"You sure you okay girl?", she asked.
"Peachy"
She nodded and walked away.
I sighed and sat down on the bed. I ran my fingers through my curls and I heard phone ring.
I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Wassup, you good?"
"Yeah I'm fine, thanks for being here for me"
"No problem, you want to go to the gym?"
"Sure, give me 10 minutes"
"Alright"
.
I drank some water after my hard 1 hour workout. I let out a lot of steam and I felt a little better.
I saw Dominic come out the locker room, shirtless.
Dear god save me.
"You like what you see?", he smirked.

I didn't notice that I was staring that hard at him.
"Nah"
I turned around and started lifting weights. I felt him behind and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
My knees instantly got weak. I put the weights down and moved away from him.
"No"
"What?", he laughed.
"You know what you are doing"
"And?"
"Stop touching me"
"You know you like it"
He pulled me close and his lips were a few centimeters away from mine. I closed my eyes and waited.
I heard him laugh and moved back away. I opened my eyes and felt embarrassed.
"I knew you couldn't resist me because you want to kiss me", he smirked.
I blushed hard as fuck.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.

Contact Through Voided Lenses
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Edit: Fixed some inaccuracies in the synopsis. The void is a vast unexplored ocean filled with various wonders and dangers all waiting to be explored by those brave enough to travel and record. Many souls do find themselves brave enough to face the vast distances, the various risks to personal safety and do the hundreds of task required on a craft. However, at times the void itself can be boring with absolutely nothing to do but as time pass and more and better technology is reached, things got better. The various trips got faster, communications became faster than light and you can be home to see your loved ones after only months now. Through the various planets whether rocky or gaseous, the various stars whether small or giant, the various systems both eerily similar or completely alien. As part of an expeditionary scientific exploratory survey craft, one could see that the void offers no reprieve from all the discoveries and wonders. At times, it can feel empty and silent where no soul can hear you scream and at others it can be overwhelming with sudden phenomenon that can overwhelm the brightest of minds. The void itself is a truly fascinating ocean where one must chart the various islands or drown in its deadly tidal waves. But the question still remained no matter how you try to hide it in of itself… is there truly other intelligent life out there? Are we alone in this ocean? Those very questions still haunt the minds of those on the crafts themselves as they brace for every jump ready for the unknown and the known. Many would try to explain that yes there is other intelligent life out there whilst other still say no after 2 centuries of continuous flight out of the home system. Still, those are questions that bury deep in the minds of the crew and those at home as the voidcraft jumps to a system with a single yellow star orbited by 8 other planets with one crowning blue jewel being the 3rd closest with its 5 oceans and 7 continents, a planet called Dirt which is inhabited by a primitive species called Humanity. Hello, author here and this is my newest dive into writing particularly for the Writathon currently in progress being my first one. I hope you give me story a try but in case you still want more information on what you’re getting into, below are some pointers about the story itself. First Contact: CTVL is a story about a first contact scenario between an advanced alien civilization and a slightly more advanced modern day humanity on their planet called Dirt. Characters: The story will take place mainly on the perspective of the alien visitors themselves though there will be human POV characters who will show how the rest of humanity react through media and forums. Action: It won’t be an actual alien invasion but you have to see for yourself how well first contact went. Sci-Fi: I will be very forward here, I WILL bend the rules of physics in order to add in parts of the plot and there WILL be parts that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Theme: It will be a brooding story talking about the futility of pe… Just kidding, it’s mostly wholesome stuff to be honest here. Alien: The aliens themselves will… actually why should I tell you, you have to go and read it to find out what the aliens are though I will draw a few things here and there to aid in the process. Extra tidbit: If you are a grammar nazi or someone who really wants a realistic scifi story... this story is probably not for you at all. Anyways, that’s pretty much all I can say before I spoil something major of the plot itself, the story is slice of life so make sure that type of story is what you like because I am terrible with anything else as I found out, anyways, have a good time everyone and good luck to the other Writathon participants.
