《The Beginning of the Age of Heroes》Chapter 19

The next day the team of heroes were in the throne room again and this time they had to tell Ras the names that they had come up with. This was the point of no return. Once they had come up with their new names there was no going back to the way that things used to be. They would be leaving their old lives behind and become full members of the League of Assassins.
"So, have you all come up with your new names?" Ras asked.
"Yes we have master. I am going to go by the Arrow." Oliver said.
"Very well. What about the rest of you?" Ras asked.
"I will be going by Black Canary, master." Laurel said.
"I will be going by White Canary, master." Sara said.
"I will be going by Artemis, master." Thea said.
"I will go by the Flash, master." Barry said.
"I will be going by Supergirl, master." Kara said.
"I will go by Athena, master." Shado said.
"Those are all good names, but where did you come up with Supergirl and the Flash. Those names don't make much sense to me to tell you the truth." Ras said.
"They are just names. I will go by Supergirl because I am faster and stronger than I look, while Barry is the Flash because he has above average speed." Kara said.
"I guess we will have to see about that. Now, get back to your training. You still have much to learn." Ras said as the team knew that was him saying that it was time for them to leave the throne room.
. . .
When they got to the room that they would be training in that day, Nyssa was there waiting for them. "Those were some interesting names that you came up with. I like them though. So, let's get to your training. Let's see how much you picked up from yesterday first." Nyssa said and the heroes nodded as they showed her what they remembered from the previous day.

"Very good. You have all remembered what you were taught yesterday. Let's work on some new techniques. If all of you keep picking up your skills like you are doing now, you will be out in the world dispensing justice very soon." Nyssa said.
"I am glad that we are doing so well, mistress. We are willing to learn everything that you teach us. We will use everything that you teach us to the best of our abilities for the rest of our lives." Laurel said.
"Yes you will. I have no doubt about this because of the dedication that you have been showing as of right now. You might well end up some of the best assassins that have been taught here once all of your training is complete." Nyssa said.
"We will do our best, mistress." Thea said and Nyssa couldn't help but smile at the young girl.
"Good. I will show you some new techniques and then you will work on them by using them against each other. I find it is easier to learn when you use the techniques against a real person instead of something fake." Nyssa said and the heroes nodded as she started to show them the new techniques for the day.
. . .
After training was done for the day, the team was now with all the other assassins in the mess hall where they would be eating dinner. "Wow, I didn't realize I was this hungry until I saw all of this food." Barry said.
"Barry, since you got your speed you will eat just about everything that is put in front of you." Oliver said.
"I know. It must have something to do with the speed. Maybe I have a faster metabolism now than I did. Kara can't talk. I think she eats as much as I do." Barry said.

"She always has. It must be something about her DNA as well." Thea said.
"It is. Anyways, I am hungry. Let's eat unless you are wanting to give Barry and me your food." Kara said with a smile which made the other friends laugh as they started to eat their food so that Barry and Kara wouldn't steal their food.
. . .
Later that night they were all in their rooms and laying on their beds completely worn out. Even Kara was worn out which should really tell a person how hard this training that they were going through really was.
"I normally don't get tired, but there is something about this training that is wearing me out. I don't know what it is though." Kara said.
"I know what you mean. I had gotten to where I didn't get too tired now that I have my speed, but like you I am completely worn out." Barry said.
"I know we had plans to do some stuff tonight, but I am too tired for that right now. Can we push that back for a while? I just want to go to sleep." Kara said.
"I agree. I am too tired to even think about that right now. We can do that stuff anytime though. So yeah, I am fine with pushing that back for now." Barry said.
"I knew there was a reason that I loved you." Kara said as she kissed Barry and then laid down and fell to sleep instantly.
"I love you too, Kara." Barry said as he laid down and was sleeping just as fast as Kara was.
. . .
"Damn, I can't believe how sore I am." Sara said.
"I know. I don't think I have ever been this tired and sore in my life. I guess that means that we are learning new ways to do things and that is what is making us sore." Shado said.
"That makes sense. I think I am going to pass out right now if that is ok with you." Sara said and Shado nodded as she watched Sara lay down and saw that she was already sleeping.
"Good night my love." Shado said as she laid down and went to sleep as well.
. . .
Oliver had just walked into the room with Laurel and they found Thea completely asleep in her bed. "I remember watching her sleep when she was a baby. It was my way of protecting her. I know that it might sound weird, but I still do that sometimes because I don't know what I would do without her in my life." Oliver said.
"It's not weird that you love your sister, Ollie. I used to do the same thing to Sara until she found me doing it one night." Laurel said.
"I guess that makes sense. So, how about we get some sleep as well. We are going to have to be up bright and early in the morning for more training." Oliver said.
"I think that is for the best. I am so tired I don't think that I can stand anymore." Laurel said.
"Yeah, same with me. Good night Laurel. I love you." Oliver said as he kissed Laurel.
"I love you too, Ollie. Good night." Laurel said as they went to sleep.
A/N: The names will be English in this story. Just letting you know.

The Lies They Told Me: Short stories from my life
Like many of my peers, I've discovered that life is not quite what I expected it to be. As I age, I've begun to find that many of the sayings and truths that my parents, authority figures, and friends have passed on to me were outright lies. Every person I know has been subject to the same interactions, which got me thinking, why not write a compilation of stores about my life experiences to date. I hope that this book will help all of us come to terms with the realities that we face today or deal with some of our deepest feelings about the past. Maybe these people lied to us and maybe they honestly believed the myriad of things they told us, but either way I think we can have a good laugh looking back and remembering the first times that we realized these things weren't true. I also hope that you can look back at the lies, or life lessons, that you've learned and can be inspried to own your stories and share them with others in a genuine way. Wiithout further ado, I hope that you enjoy the many short stories of my life that made me who I am today. These stories range from funny to down right surrel, so good luck on your journey!

Digital Immigrant
This is the story of how James Allen Quick and Sarah Lynn Abernathy died. By 'died', I mean that their hearts stopped, their brains ceased sending electrical impulses, and all other physical functions terminated. Immediately after which, their bodies were placed into an industrial furnace, reduced to ash, and the ash was spread about in one of the last forest reserves in North America. As ash-spreading locations go, this ranked third. First and second places were, of course, a person’s favorite athletic team’s playing field and the sea. Or rather, I should say that this is how the story begins. You see, it’s what came after that is so interesting.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.

Dog Days in a Leashed World
Life is not easy at the bottom of the food chain. And in the Kingdoms of Magica, the absolute bottom belongs without question to the puppy-like lowbie zone trash known as mongrels. Born to an unfinished zone with only bored, murderous outpost guards for neighbors, the lives of these fluffy balls of hapless nuisance are short, dull, and deeply confused. Because after all: What's the point of a mob that no one can be bothered to hunt, in a zone utterly lacking in reasons to visit, in a game that was already the height of trash fantasy nonsense? Well it may not be much, but it's their life, dammit. And if Shh, the mongrel bearing the questionable distinction of smartest pup in his pack, has anything to say about it, they won't be on the bottom forever. Because that's the silver lining of being on the bottom: the only way left to go is up.
