Wentworth General
The taxi pulls up outside and the driver gets out and rushes to open the back passenger door for Kath
He helps her out
Taxi driver - Are you ok love?
Kath nods her head
Kath - Yes, thanks for getting me here so quickly!
Taxi driver - Come on let's get you inside
Vicki is banging on her parents front door urgently
A light goes on and Mr McPherson makes his way down the stairs, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he does so
Mr McPherson - ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'M COMING!
Mrs McPherson stands at the top of the stairs looking fretful
Mrs McPherson - Find out who it is before you open the door dear, it could be anyone out there! It could be some lunatic with a knife or a baseball bat!
Mr McPherson - Yes it's ok love, I'll check first
Mr McPherson arrives by the door
Mr McPherson - Who is there?
Vicki - It's Victoria dad, let me in, please
The hospital
Kath is laying on a bed
The midwife is there
The midwife - How are we feeling my dear?
Kath - It's bloody painful! I somehow managed to forget just how painful this is!
The midwife - Take a good old puff on the gas and air my dear
The midwife turns to the taxi driver
Midwife - Are you the father?
The taxi driver chuckles with embarrassment
Taxi driver - No I just dropped her off, you see she was in my taxi at the time
The midwife - I see, I see
The Taxi driver looks at Kath with a cheeky grin
Taxi driver - Don't worry about the fare love, have this one on me
Kath attempts a chuckle
Kath - Thank you so much for all your help tonight...you should get off now, no need for you to stay
The taxi driver looks concerned
Taxi driver - Will you be alright here alone? Can I call anyone for you
Kath - Yes there is someone you could call for me, I'll give you his number
The McPherson household
The three of them are sitting around the table
Mrs McPherson -Do you know what time it is Victoria? Nearly midnight my girl!
Vicki - Yes I know
Mr McPherson - Why are you here Victoria? Does William know you're here?
Vicki - William does not know I'm here, I snuck out while he was asleep
Mrs McPherson - Why did you do that? This behaviour is really very immature
Vicki - I wanted to get away from him, he is a madman. He hits me and locks me up in the bedroom
Mr McPherson - Yes we know... and we know why he does it too. If you would only learn to behave it would stop
Vicki - I behave fine, nothing I ever do is good enough. All I have to do is drop a plate by accident and in William's eyes, I committed a sin. Well I've had enough now, I've left him and I'm never going back
Mr McPherson - Yes Victoria you are
Vicki - No I'm not and if you have any concern for me at all you'll support this decision and let me come back here to live
Mr McPherson - Never! We made our terms clear to you. You have to make this marriage work or you're disowned for good
Vicki - So the fact he hits me? The fact I am very unhappy with him doesn't mean a thing to you?
Mrs McPherson - Victoria, he along with us only wishes to prevent you from returning to sinful behaviour

Vicki - All three of you are control freaks and all of you are completely insane!
Mr McPherson - How dare you! Come on I'm taking you home
Mr McPherson grabs Vicki by the arm
Mr McPherson - I imagine William will be extremely angry that you took his car without asking. You should expect him to punish you for this and you must accept it without argument
Vicki yanks her arm free
Vicki - I told you, I'm not going back there
Mr McPherson - Then you're out of our lives for good
Vicki - Fine if that's what you want
Mr McPherson - It's not what I want but those are our terms...no no correction, those are the lord's terms. We have to obey the lords wishes Victoria...
Vicki looks at her mother
Vicki - And what about you?
Mrs McPherson wipes a tear off her face
Mrs McPherson - What your father says is correct
Vicki - You're both ridiculous....goodbye!
Vicki turns to go
Mrs McPherson - No wait!....where will you go?
Vicki - I don't know
She hands Mr McPherson the car keys
Vicki - You better give William back his car
Vicki leaves in tears
Mrs McPherson runs out after her
Mrs McPherson - Where will you go? It's the middle of the night?
Vicki - You don't want me here so I have to go don't i
Mrs McPherson - If you'd only see reason and return to your husband. We can work this out, no harm done, you just made a mistake right?....
Vicki - no, no mistake. My only mistake was staying with him as long as I did. Vicki McPherson doesn't lay back and lets anyone treat her that way
Mrs McPherson - But if you would only learn the right way to behave, if you would only stop sinning he wouldn't need to treat you that way
Vicki - Spare me the crap, I have heard it all before, I don't want to hear it anymore. You can't accept me and love me for who I am, you have to try and impose these ridiculous conditions, control me and change me into what you want me to be. I'm me, mum, I'm not what you think I should be. I've always been my own person and if you can't accept that that's your problem, not mine. I don't even like being called Victoria, in fact, I hate it. I am Vicki or Vic!
Mrs McPherson - But the lord...
Vicki - I don't care about the lord, never have
Vicki kisses her mother on the forehead
Vicki - Take care mum
Vicki walks off into the night
The hospital
Kath is laying out on the bed as Bob arrives outside the room. The midwife spots him
The midwife - Are you Bob?
Bob - Yes, I got a call to come urgently
The Midwife - Yes, the poor dear said she wanted you with her, you'd best come in
Kath is puffing away on the gas and air as Bob enters
Kath smiles with delight and wipes the sweat off her face
Kath - Bob! Thanks for coming!
Bob - You know I'll always come whenever you need me. I'm just surprised you asked for me and not Jim. Where is Jim?
Kath - Jim and I have split up
Bob - Oh I'm sorry
Kath - It doesn't matter now......
Kath cries out
Kath - Oh hell it bloody hurts!
The midwife - Push dear! That's right give it a good hard push!
Kath - I wish the bloody thing would hurry up and come out!

The Midwife - I can see the head dear! it's coming!
Vicki is outside Marsh house knocking at the door. No reply. She looks through the windows and finds the rooms are all bare. She makes her way around the side of the house
The hospital
There is the sound of a baby crying
The midwife is holding a newborn
The midwife - Well you have a gorgeous baby girl
Kath's face drops
Kath - Oh...I was so sure I was having a boy
Bob - But it doesn't matter does it?
Kath - No, I suppose it doesn't...I was hoping for a son that's all
The midwife - You may still get a son Mrs Maxwell... there's another baby waiting to come out
Kath looks stunned
The midwife beams with joy
Midwife - That's right, you're having twins!
Kath - Twins? I didn't know I was having twins?
Kath cries with pain
Kath - Oh hell! The contractions are starting again!
Kath holds out her hand
Kath - Hold my hand, Bob!
Bob takes hold of Kath's hands
Vicki has broken into the dark and empty Marsh house and finds a blanket, she curls up under it and cries
The hospital
Once again there is the sound of a newborn crying
The midwife wraps the baby up in a blanket
The midwife - It's a boy, you got your son Mrs Maxwell
The midwife hands him over to Kath
Kath looks delighted
The Midwife picks up the baby girl
The Midwife - Would you like to see your little girl too? She wants to meet her mother
Kath - Maybe later
The Midwife - The little thing would love a hug
Kath - I said maybe later...I want to hold my baby boy for a while
Kath returns her attention to her baby son. Bob looks concerned
Exterior shot of Jim's place in daylight
Jim is having breakfast as Vera enters the room
Jim - Have you packed your stuff?
Vera looks surprised
Vera - You wanted me to pack this morning?
Jim - Yes I did
Vera - But I have to go to work
Jim - You can leave the stuff here until later, I just want you packed and ready to go
Vera - But Jim...
Jim - I'm sorry Vera but I want Kath to come back and she won't do that while you're here
Vera - Where will I go?
Jim - I'm sure Meg would have you if you asked?
Vera - That's impossible. Mrs Reynolds lives with her and she hates me. Meg won't let me stay with her there
Jim - Then I'll run you to a hotel
Vera - I can't afford it...
Jim - I'll pay the fee for you
Vera (bitter) - You really want me out don't you? I thought we were friends...
Jim - I told you, I want Kath back. I don't feel good about kicking you out but I have no other choice
Vera - You do have another choice and you know what it is
Jim gets up
Jim - Make yourself some breakfast if you want then go and pack. I'm going outside to try and get the summerhouse finished
Exterior shot of Jenny's flat
Jenny is sitting pouring herself some whisky as someone knocks angrily at the door
Jenny - Oh bugger off!
Paul calls out from outside
Paul - Open this door, Jenny! I want to talk to you and I'm not going until you do
Jenny - Alright alright! Keep your wig on!
Jenny gets up and staggers to the door
Blackmoor
Bea is in the visitor's room with Thelma, Donald and a healthy-looking Chloe
Bea - Thanks for coming,l wasn't sure if you would
Donald - Frankly when I heard that you were in here I wasn't sure about coming myself. Taking Chloe into Wentworth was bad enough, but this place...
Thelma - But we decided it wouldn't be fair to keep you both apart just because you're no longer in Wentworth
Chloe - Why are you in here gran? It's an awful place. At least Wentworth had a nice garden and some trees, this place is ghastly. All bricks and concrete
Bea - It wouldn't be my choice of accommodation if I had the choice love
Chloe - Were you bad? Is that why they moved you here?
Thelma - Chloe love, your gran doesn't need to be quizzed!
Bea chuckles
Bea - It's fine Thelma! Yes, I was bad love, and now maybe you can see why it's important to be good. You wouldn't want to end up in a place like this, would you?
Chloe shakes her head
Bea - So this brings me to, my next question....are you keeping away from drugs?
Chloe nods her head
Chloe - Yes gran, I haven't touched any since that day Sally tried to kill me
Bea looks relieved
Bea - Good girl...make sure you keep it that way
Donald - I would very much like to meet this Joan woman who helped save Chloe's life? I want to thank her for everything she did that day
Chloe - Yes I'd like to see her again too, I never thanked her properly. She had such a kind face
Thelma - So if you have an address or phone number for Joan could we possibly have it, Bea?
Bea sits looking awkward
Jenny's flat
Paul picks up the whisky bottle
Paul - started early haven't you?
Jenny grabs the bottle off him
Jenny (aggressive) - What's it to you?
Paul (angry) - I couldn't give a toss if you drink yourself into cirrhosis of the liver. It's my mother I care about, thanks to you she's in Wentworth on remand
Jenny - Thanks to me? It had nothing to do with me
Paul - I don't believe you. Mum would never have done that. She thinks you did it and so do i
Jenny - This is crap! Please leave now
Paul grabs Jenny and shakes her
Paul - I can't believe you'd let mum take the blame like this! She's always been good to you. You should do the right thing and own up
Jenny - Get your hands off me and get out or I'll call the police and have them come and remove you!
Paul lets her go and angrily points a finger in her face
Paul - You're a bitch Jenny! Well, this isn't over! No way!...
Paul leaves. Jenny takes a drink, downing it all in one go and refills her glass
Blackmoor
Donald (surprised) - She's in here?>
Bea - Yes and in solitary confinement right now...mind you she's due out today I think. So if you want to see her you could ask the governor
Donald looks unsure
Donald - I'm not sure I wish to see her now that I know this! She's a criminal!
Bea - Well so am i...
Donald - Yes I know, I'm sorry. You know I have nothing against you now that I know you better. That doesn't mean I want to mix with criminals in general, you're just the exception you understand
Thelma - Come on love be fair. Miss Ferguson may be a prisoner but it doesn't change the fact she did us such a big favour. We should still thank her
Chloe - Yeah, I still want to see her again too. She was kind to me that day
Exterior shot of Wentworth
Inside the women are in the laundry. Cheryl is on the press, Ann, Chrissie and Brumby are folding and Kate and Lorna are by the driers
Cheryl - Did you have a decent nights sleep, Ann?
Ann - Yes surprisingly. The bed wasn't as uncomfortable as I was expecting
Lorna - But still it's not the standard you're used to eh Mrs Reynolds?
Ann - I told you, please call me Ann now
Lorna - Nah you're alright, I only call my friends and people I like by their first name Mrs Reynolds...
Cheryl - Lorna I told you! Stop it! Ann treated us fairly as governor, we owe her the same now
Lorna (sneering) - Bull! We owe her nothing! Ok so she was relatively decent for a screw but she was still a screw! Still working for the system that locks us up like animals!
Cheryl - Locks us up for committing crimes remember that. Ann didn't out us here we put ourselves here
Lorna - Sounds like you're in the wrong uniform Cheryl!
Blackmoor
Colleen is in the governor's office as Donald and Thelma are shown in
Colleen - I was told you wished to make a request?
Donald - Yes that's right, we wanted to see the prisoner Joan Ferguson
Colleen looks surprised
Thelma - We are aware she is in solitary but we were told she is due out this morning?
Colleen - Yes she is, but I'm not sure I can allow her this visit
Donald - Why not?
Colleen - You're associated with Smith aren't you? Are you aware Smith and Ferguson are sworn, enemies? How do I not you aren't here to cause trouble with Ferguson? Maybe under instructions from Smith?
Thelma - We really have no idea about Bea's history with Miss Ferguson. We just want to thank her for a special favour she did us
Colleen looks surprised again
Colleen - You want to thank Ferguson? Not many people want to do that...
Thelma - Really, you talk like she is some kind of monster. When I met her I found her a perfectly nice, pleasant lady and she showed a lot of kindness to my Chloe
Colleen - Yes well in that case I suppose I can let you see her then
Colleen picks up her office phone
Bea and Chloe are alone in the visitor's room
Bea - I'm glad we are having some time alone for a chat
Chloe - Me too Gran
Bea - Are you really staying off drugs? Not just saying that in front of Donald and Thelma?
Chloe - I am nan I swear
Bea - yes I believe you, I can tell you're clean now. I hope you stay this way
Chloe - I will gran. I was terrified when Sally tried to kill me. I still don't understand why she did it?
Bea - Because she's sick that's why she did it
Chloe - And who was this Mr Murphy? I never ever met him, why would he want to have me killed?
Bea - To get at me love that's why
Chloe - Will Sally or Mr Murphy be after me again?
Bea hugs her
Bea - No sweetheart, you don't have to worry about them again now I promise you
GATESLAM
PART 2
Vera and Meg are in the staffroom
Vera - So Jim has thrown me out
Meg - I didn't even know you were staying with him Vera
Vera - He didn't want it to be broadcast around...Well anyway, I don't know where I will go now. I know I can't stay with you because of Mrs Reynolds
Meg - Actually Vera that won't be a problem now, you can come to stay if you like
Vera looks shocked
Vera - But what about Mrs Reynolds?
Meg - Mrs Reynolds no longer lives with me. So if you like we'll go and pick your stuff up from Jim's place on our lunch break and drop it off at mine and I'll give you the spare key
Vera - Oh thank you so much Meg....but how come Ann no longer lives with you?
Meg bows her head to examine the floor...
....The laundry
Vera enters and approaches Ann
Vera (awkward) - A word please outside Reynolds
Ann leaves the laundry with Vera, they walk up the corridor a bit
Vera - I'm sorry Ann, I had to call you Reynolds in front of the others
Ann - Yes I know
Vera - Yes well this is awkward isn't it...
Ann - Yes it is rather. I knew we would have to come face to face eventually but I can't say I was looking forward to it
Vera - Look Ann about what happened with Dan...
Ann has a bitter expression on her face
Ann - It doesn't matter now, I'd rather not talk about it
Vera - But it matters to me. I just want you to know I'm sorry for what happened
Ann - I can believe that you're sorry....sorry that he ditched you too in the end. But not sorry for what you did to me
Vera - Oh but I am I swear...
Ann - Fine well then we'll forget the matter, shall we? Now if that's all maybe I can return to the laundry now?
Vera - Yes of course
Ann (cold) - Thank you, Miss Bennett
Ann walks away and Vera stands looking upset
Blackmoor
Donald, Thelma, Chloe and Bea are sitting around in the visitor's room as Colleen comes in with Joan
Colleen - Come over here Smith
Bea leaves the others to stand with Colleen and Joan
Colleen - Alright you two, despite my grave doubts I have allowed this visit to take place But I don't want any trouble between you, do I make myself clear?
Bea - Yes Mrs Powell, we'll be good little girls don't worry
Colleen glares at Joan
Colleen - Well Ferguson?
Joan glares back
Joan - I'll be on my best behaviour, you can count on it
Colleen - Go on, you have 10 minutes
Bea and Joan walk off to join Donald, Thelma and Chloe

8 126When It Rains, It Pours
A train of thought compendium.I have them every now and then. Or to be more accurate, they have me. One offs. Shorts. Tales. Parables. Fables. And other weird things. This line has no schedule. No track number. No set destination. Sometimes it's an El. At other times, a space shuttle, taxi, caravan or fast moving treadmill. And every now and then it's a subway passing through underground caverns, littered with cobwebs. These sporadic ideas pop into my head at the weirdest of times. Some end in the middle. Some end with a fizzle. Some end with a bang.
8 186Et Non Lucem
A lonely fortress, a (slightly) deranged assassin, secrets, intrigue, magic and war. What could possible go wrong? If you've ever wondered what would happen if somebody attempted to blend a realistic medieval world with fantasy, then this is for you. If you've ever wondered what happens when you stick some (extremely) flawed humans into positions of power and try making them save the world, then this story is for you. Or if you're simply bored and can't seem to decide on a new story to read, then this story is for you! This is my first ever attempt at writing a story after years and years of reading, so any and all constrictive criticism is appreciated!
8 66Second Life Villain
"A hero always wins". Well, that's a bold ass thing to say, my friend. "All villains die at the end of the story?" I think it's time to change that!!!
8 166MY Life In The Multiverse
A young man's life was snatched away from him in his sleep and he ended up transmigrating into a weird world with only an unreliable system to depend on.Follow him in his hilarious journey through the difficulties the multiverse has to offer. Current anime involved: Devil is a part-timer, Sakurasou no pet na kanojo, Tensura (Slime), Beelzebub, Tokyo ghoul, Assassination classroom...
