《The ThickGirl and The Badboy》CHAPTER 10: Keep Your Hands To Yourself

On my way to class I heard someone mutter something about my jeans.

Yes jeans.

Regrettably I decided to wear some jeans, which already felt constricting but I tried to ignore it.

I flicked the stupid girl off, not noticing that staff was nearby.

"Miss Pares. "

'Oh no. '

I cleared my throat, and responded. "Yes? "

"Follow me. "

'I swear if this is about yesterday...'

"Sit. "

"Oh. Right. "

"Miss. Pares. I was informed yesterday about your little misbehavior-"

"Sean was the one who disrespected me!"

"Keep your voice down young lady! "

"Sorry... "

'Fuck i'm so busted'

"Koleen this has been your second misbehavior and it's barely September. "

"I know, it's just too many people are mean to me in this school-"

"Then I suggest you move out of here, or control your temper. This school will not tolerate misbehavior just because you can't control yourself. "

"Yes I can. " I muttered under my breath.

"What was that? "

"Nothing, ok fine. I'll control myself. " I said getting up to leave.

It was messed up but my mom would never let me move just because I'm having problems.

"Nuh, uh, uh. I let you slide the first time, and Sean insists on putting charges on you, but I told him I'll take care of the punishment...You're lucky I'm letting you off easy-"

"So I'm only getting detention?!" I said excitedly.

"No, you're suspended for the next 3 weeks of Cross-Country meets. But nothing says you can't run on your own. " He winked and smiled.

My face fell.

"W-what? "

"There's still a few meets after that so don't worry."

"That's not fair! The team depends on me-"

"The girls will do just fine without you! "

I looked at him, searching for any bluffing.

He opened the door and led me out of his office.

'This is just not my week..' I said in my mind. Little tears finally escaping. I darted towards the girls bathroom, locked myself in a stall.

'It wasn't fair. I hated this school so much. '

Cross Country is literally everything to me, and stupid Sean had to get me in trouble.

It's my last year for fuck sakes, I wanted to make the most out of every single meet.

I would've probably called Crystal, but she wouldn't understand.

She wouldn't relate.

She doesn't know the nerves you get in the pit of your stomach while heading to the meets.

She doesn't know the feeling of your heart beating rapidly at the start of the line.

She doesn't know the satisfying, burning sensation of adrenaline while running.

She doesn't know the pleasure of your name getting cheered on and on because of your great victory.

'Stupid Sean. Stupid principal. Stupid school.'

I skipped a few classes that had Sean and Kimberly in it for the rest of the day.

I knew I could do my work in time later, and I wasn't worried of the attendance.

The school had enough money as it is, I didn't see how my absence would make a difference.

I spent most of the time thinking what I could do after school.

I mean I couldn't stay more hours in the gym.

I don't want to overwhelm myself to the point where I get sick or something.

But I litteraly had nothing else to do.

Home is just home.

Shopping just isn't in my mood right now,

and I really didn't want to see my friends or interact with them.

Once the final bell rang, I sprinted out of the restroom and headed to my locker.

I stared straight off, making sure not to make eye contact with anybody, and trying not to notice anybody. But there was one precense that was hard to miss.

"Aye! Bryson my man! " Called a football jock named Tim.

I tried walking past them unnoticed, with my 5'0 short self, but of course Bryson noticed me.

While Tim was telling him his irrelevant crap, he looked bored ,then perked up at the sight of me grining evily.

"Thunder Thighs, I don't suppose you're free this afternoon."

I rolled my eyes.

"Nope. I was already punished for yesterday, I don't need to hang around the wrong crowd."

He laughed, and so did Tim.

My cheeks turned petal pink.

"You think hanging with me is the wrong crowd?"

"I don't want to hang out with you." I mutter looking away from him.

"I'll catch you later Tim." Bryson says to Tim who waved goodbye. "If you got punished then all the more to hang with me, to forget about it."

'Huh? '

'Is he saying he wanted to hang out with me?'

Was I really going to risk my life to go out with him?

What if he wants me to join him to sell drugs or something?

"Fine." I agreed regretting it a little. "Here's my address." I take out a piece of paper and write it down, handing it to him.

"Great, pick you up at eight."

"Koleen, Crystal just called saying she hasn't heard of you, tell me you have not skipped school and became a stripper. "

I rolled my eyes.

My mom and her exaggerations.

"No mom, I just don't want to talk to anyone right now. "

"But you're talking to me, you don't want to talk to me either?! "

"Mom. Please can I just be alone? "

For once I just wanted my own company.

For once, I just wanted to be ignored by my parents.

"I will talk to your father about this missy! "

She slammed my bedroom door, which made my portrait of my first ever Cross Country meet shake.

Ugh. I was still so pissed that Sean got me in trouble, I mean sure I was the one who punched him, but couldn't he have just kept it to himself? .

It wasn't fair that Sean got his way, and could still play in his football game after everything he's done to me.

High school was short once you're a senior, and I was determined to win first in every meet, but now my goal was crushed.

If there was anything that made me feel better when I was having a rough day, it was The Vampire Diaries.

Seeing Damon, and Stephan's face would surely make me forget of stupid Sean.

"Koleen! " I hear my mom yell.

I pause the TV and answer, "Yes?!"

She didn't answer.

"What is it Mom?! " I called again.

Still, no answer.

"Ugh." I groaned. "I hate when she does that."

I walked down irritated.

"What mom? "

She was sitting in starring at someone.

My eyes diverted to the couch in front of me, I jumped back shocked.

There, sitting on my freaking leather couch was Bryson dressed differently than what he wore to school.

"What are you doing in my house?" I ask, trying to do my hair in a nice low bun.

"Koleen! Where's your manners?! You do not talk to your guests that way! Especially if he's taking you out on a nice date!" My mom yelled embarrassed.

'Date? What? Ohhh... '

"Shit. I completely forgot."

"You forgot this young man was taking you out?" My mom asked.

"Ouch." Bryson commented.

"Give me a few minutes and I'll be right down!" I tell him, then ran back upstairs.

'Shut, shit,shit.'

I tore through my closet, searching far and wide for what I should wear.

My usual school clothes were much too casual.

But my other side of the closet was also much too dressy.

'What's a girl to do? I need to hurry!'

I settled for a red ruffled peasant girl top, a black leather skirt, and some black heels, my hair in a sleek ponytail with hoops on.

Since I didn't want to take too long, I quickly did my make up, sprayed some perfume and walked back downstairs.

"I'm back!" I say stumbling with my heels. "I'm done! Mom, I don't know how long I'll be out."

"Oh it's fine hunny, just go and have fun! " My mom said enthusiastically, probably to get me to do something other than going to the gym.

"I'll bring her back safely by midnight." Bryson comments.

"Perfect! "My mom exclaims.

She rushed us out the door, me almost falling off the front steps if it weren't for fuckin Bryce.

"Did you really forget?" He asks me once we were outside.

"Uh, kind of." I muttered feeling embarrassed.

As we got closer to his ride, I stopped in front of it, amazed.

"Impressed? " He said with a smirk looking at my face.

I nodded my head.

" This car is nice. "

"I appreciate it. "

"Apreciate what? " I said walking to open the car door, but Bryce beat me to it.

"I appreciate the compliment. " He finishes once he was inside.

I looked at him confused, then burst with excitement when he turned on the car.

" Can't you keep your hands to yourself? Damn it, you're gonna break my car already! " He yelled .

"Well it's hard not to with a car like this! "

"Either keep your hands to yourself or you can put them on my-"

"Do not finish that sentence. " I said rolling my eyes.

He smirked.

"Dick. "

"Oh gosh, you're so immature." I murmured frustratingly.

Even though I went to a nice school, and some kids had nice cars, I never expected to be in one.

This was going to be interesting.
