As I ever so slightly opened my heavy eyelids, the first thought that came across my mind was that I felt so exhausted.

Once I opened my eyes fully I scanned the room.

I noticed I was tucked in my own bed, in my room, Crystal sleeping beside me.

My head was pounding as I stood up.

I was sure I smelled so bad.

I pushed myself out of bed, only to feel my whole body tired.

What happened yesterday again?

Did I ended up drinking?

I went into the restroom to brush my teeth, and was about it shower until I decided not to.

I left Crystal a note, and some water for her to wake up to then changed into some workout clothes to go on a run.

Even though I felt pretty tired, there's nothing that a thirty minute run will do to make you feel better.

"Mom?! Dad?! "

Silence.

I went inside their room.

"Mom!"

"What? " She yelled annoyed, she obviously did not have a good morning today.

"Um, I just wanted to advise you that I'm going to the track. " I said feeling alil awkward.

"That's all? You could've just called or texted Koleen, for crying out loud, I'm going to bed. It's your turn to make dinner so be back early. "

I rolled my eyes.

"Yes ma'm, also Crystal spent the night so she's still here. I'll be back for her."

'Bitch better have my money. '

I ran on the track while listening to Rihanna, keeping my breathing even. Letting all my stress, and emotions out.

I felt my phone vibrate, so I stopped and answered my mom.

" H-hello? " I said panting, stretching my legs.

"Koleen it's already been an hour! Where are you? " My mom screamed.

Had I really been here for an hour?

"Shit, sorry mom. I lost track of time. "

"Come home this instant. Crystal is still asleep. You need to be here when she wakes up, I'm working a late night shift, so I have to go, and I won't be able to wake you up tomorrow morning."

"Ok thanks mom. Love you. "

She hung up before I even finished my sentence.

Maybe she was just in a hurry.

When I came home, Crystal was awake with a massive headache. She rested for a while then left for the night to her own house.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't get any sleep that night.

My heart was beating like Ashton Irwin banging the drums when I woke up.

Sweat poured all over my body.

I knew I had a nightmare, but I couldn't recall what it was about.

Again I checked the time, and noticed it was almost time to wake up for school anyways.

I looked at myself in the mirror again.

Studying myself.

I remembered feeling confident in my makeup Saturday night, why couldn't I feel confident without it?

I got ready normally. Dressed normally. Looked normally. But still tried to look good.

"Did you see her on Saturday? I almost didn't recognize her." Someone laughed starring at me.

I ignored them, they were gonna talk regardless if I went to the party or not.

I walked to my locker, and started dropping some stuff up.

"Hey honey." I heard a familiar torturing voice.

"Don't start Sean. Just fuck off." I muttered not looking at him.

"Feisty as always baby, I wish I got you in bed that night." He whispers to me, while his friends laughed like two irritating hyenas.

I turned around towards him so fast, my neck kind of hurt.

"What did you say? " I said, glaring at him so fiercly, I wished my eyes would shoot lazers at him.

"I said I wish I got you in bed Saturday night when you were in your little pink dress." He repeats.

My fists were balled.

He always disrespected me, but his comments today made things way more irritating than the zit I had on my chin.

I closed my eyes, breathing in deeply and puffed out.

I told myself to calm down, I was going to keep my cool, but when I opened my eyes, I saw Sean still smiling, eyeing me.

I couldn't help it, I punched him in his jaw, and was about hit him again when I was suddenly pulled away, I struggled to get out, but the strong arms were pulling me back.

"Let go! " I yelled.

"Wow, calm down Thunder Thighs." I hear Bryson's voice by me.

"Let go of me! I want to punch him again!" I squirmed.

"You punch pretty hard, for a girl." Sean says grabbing his jaw.

I try to pull myself out again to hit him again, but got pulled back.

"You already hit him, another one and you'll get in even more trouble than you already are." Bryson warns.

"Listen to Anderson Leen, I'd hate for you to miss your cross country season." Sean smirks.

"Just get the fuck out of here Stark." Bryson tells Sean.

"Gladly. I'll go straight to the principals office. Let's go guys." Sean tells his dumb friends.

"Ok, I'm calm. Now let me go. " I tell Bryson.

"You sure? "

"Yes. "

After he let me go, I started yelling at him.

"What was that? I wasn't done hitting him, he deserved it!"

"Oh I'm sure he did, but you don't want to get in trouble do you? What about your sports?"

I calmed down and took several breaths. He was right, I would've lost my eligibility to compete.

Instead of telling him he was right, I just stood there quietly.

"Well geez, you're welcome." He says before leaving to class.

The late bell ringing.

Great, not only was I gonna get in trouble again with the principal, but I was going to be tardy.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I spent the whole day worrying when I'd be called to the principal's office, but I was never called so I figured Sean only said that to scare me.

When I got home I couldn't help but think of Jaxon, if he wasn't there I bet Sean could've done something.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to thank him through text, or phone.

I kinda wanted to hear his voice after all.

I called him before I could change my mind.

"Hey, I didn't expect you to call first."

"Hi, I just wanted to thank you for Saturday night, and bringing me and Crystal home safely. I forgot to tell you yesterday."

"It's fine, she was pretty out of it, and you were in deep sleep. It wasn't easy getting you girls up to your room by myself."

I laughed. "I'm surprised my parents didn't hear you."

"They would've probably thought a robber came." I chuckled again, and there was some silence. " No, but your mom did check up on you after I put you both to bed. She kept starring at you, so I told her you both fell asleep and I didn't want to wake y'all up."

"Really? Why was she starring at me?"

"Geez, I don't know Koleen. I guess she was worried?"

Worried?

My mom?

Of me?

"She was probably worried of Crystal." I joked. "Anyways, I also wanted to thank you for coming when Sean was bothering me that night. He still remembered me even though he was super drunk that night."

"Did he bother you at school?" He asks, concerned?

Was he concerned of me?

"Kind of." I told him the story where he said some mean things and I punched him, which made Jaxon laugh.

It felt good talking about it, he hyped me up for simply giving one punch.

I didn't think things would get far with Jaxon, but if they didn't then I'd at least want him as a friend.
