“The last letter…” Jungkook spoke to himself. The twenty-four year old man then stood up from the desk within the room he used to share with Jimin in the penthouse. The man adjusted the sky blue collar of his dress shirt before tucking the hems into his black slacks that were held up by his belt. The man was lonely and that look seemed very constant within his daily life along with writing letters to Jimin as his morning routine. The only things he had of Jimin was a few clothes he left behind and his pictures in the young man's phone. “This can't be the last letter… It has to be longer…” Jungkook whispered to himself and before he could pick up the pen to write more, his mind stopped him right in the process.

“He never responds… Why do I keep trying?” Jungkook asked himself before pushing up the black and round glasses over his eyes while he read over the letter. In seconds, the door to the room opened and called Jungkook's attention almost instantly. Suddenly, Suyong poked his head in and giggled happily. The four-year-old child stepped in, already dressed in his blue jeans, black sweater, and black boots. His silk and brown hair was styled into a short bowl cut with the underside bearing an undercut.

“Daddy, Papa isn't coming today…” Suyong whispered in a sweet and his usual angelic voice he always carried. “Maybe… Papa forgot about Suyong and Daddy… Maybe Papa doesn't want Suyong and Daddy…” Hearing his own son speak like this left Jungkook feeling horrible for putting all of this into the boy's head to get his hopes up.

“You're right… All he did was eat away our lives… Taking away all of my time in the mornings to write him letters…” Jungkook whispered to himself and looked back at the last letter he was writing to Jimin before he picked it up and crumbled it in his hands. After, Jungkook threw it into a garbage basket within the room and let out a frustrating sigh.

“D-Daddy…” Whispered Suyong as he made his way towards his own father. “Daddy and Suyong don't need Papa… Daddy and Suyong have each other!”

“Right…” Jungkook whispered and then picked the boy up into his arms to smile at his son. “Let's get out of here… I have work with grandpa as his assistant today and you are coming with me until grandma can pick you up from the Children's center.” Jungkook promised the boy and gave his son a kiss on the cheek. In the back of his head, he was still upset over the fact that Jimin never replied to the many letters he has sent to that address ever since. Jungkook would often search the address up and find that it was the same building in Osaka, Japan where Jimin kept him in… But there was never a response. It was like Jimin was missing completely and was killed off like nothing. Never looking at Jungkook right before him ever since that sad and gloomy day.

Eventually, Jungkook arrived to the hospital with Suyong over his own back as he held onto him tightly. Jungkook was still in medical school and managed to graduate with a bachelor's degree in medicine. Only now, he still had yet to continue with his journey into being a doctor. The boy travelled to the hospital almost every day to work with check ups or assist the front desk at the hospital like his internship. This was the same hospital he first laid eyes on Jimin that one night. As Jungkook stepped in, he was greeted by his father with a big smile as he held out the white doctor's coat for Jeon Jungkook to use when he comes to help. Gaining skills and experiences on working in a hospital.

“Good morning, Jungkook and Suyong! Jungkook, we have four patients ready for check up. I'll take the other two while you get the other patients.” The Father said as Jungkook set Suyong down and placed his white doctor’s coat around his own body.

“Same patients as last time?”

“Yes, go to the first one quick. I'll take Suyong to the Children's center.” Mr. Jeon stated as Suyong giggled and jumped into his grandfather's arms. Jungkook watched how close his own father and his son bonded really closely as Jungkook began to imagine how great Suyong's and his life could have been with Jimin in it. But, Jungkook knew that his lover from four years ago, was no longer in his life and every time he tried to let him go, it was the toughest. Jungkook carried a frown over his own face as he picked up the first clipboard and made his way into the room that was noted into the top cover of the folder.

“What should I say to him in the final letter? It's my final words to him but after all this time… I doubt he read the ones in the past! I was so desperate, wasn't I?” Jungkook argued with himself as he soon walked into the room and closed the door behind him. “Maybe I'm just stupid and a helpless romantic.” Jungkook continued to talk to himself and faced the door to take the folder for this patient's status at the moment. “M-Maybe… I need to let him go-”

“...What did I tell you about stuttering, Jeon Jungkook? Stand up straight, turn around, and come give me a kiss…” Spoke the familiar voice as Jungkook hugged the folder tightly against his chest. Jungkook recognized the familiar voice and his heart began to ache just listening to the man's tone. Could it really be who the young man hoped it was?

Jungkook straightened his posture and in seconds, he looked back to see the love of his life sitting over the hospital bed with a broken arm and right leg in white casts. Completely Uninvited, but warmly welcomed; Jungkook's eyes suddenly began to tear up as he gazed at Jimin right before him. The man was handsome, perfect, and charming as he was years ago. Just looking at the love of his life like this was enough to make Jeon Jungkook drop the folder in his arms instantly. Making Jimin's information fall out onto the floor.

“Jimin!” Cried the younger as he rushed into his arms to hug Jimin as tight as he could; yet, be a bit gentle since Jimin looked injured in certain places. “Oh it's you! It's you… But… They didn't have anyone by the name of ‘Park Jimin' here! How did yo-” In seconds, Jungkook felt Jimin's free hand cup a side of Jeon Jungkook's face carefully.

“Because my name isn't Park Jimin anymore. It’s Jeon Jimin now… I guess you can say that now, I'm no longer running that stupid and poor excuse of a company… I'm no longer affiliated as well.” Jimin added as Jungkook began to tear up seeing Jimin’s right leg and arm was in a cast. “Baby, don't worry about it… I did this to leave and of course… I had to sign off many things before I could fully retire. I could see why my father was left with two broken bones and scars left over his body once he retired. I passed the company to some worker within it… But I was sure to tell them all to never mess with anyone in our family now.”

“Jeon… Jimin…” Jungkook whispered and began to sob to himself. “You idiot, I was going to take your last name!” Jungkook began to smile through his river of tears as Jimin looked at him and wiped it all himself. “But I understand why you did it… Oh god I missed you so much, Jimin… why didn't you respond to my letters?! Did you know I was going to stop writing to you altogether? Tell me what you've done to them…”

“I've stored them in my bag by the door. Did you see it? All filed with the month and years you've sent them in. Separated by dividers inside the bag of course. I kept all the pictures you took of Suyong and yourself and imagined a day with the two of you almost every second.” Jimin confessed and held Jungkook’s hand with his free one. “I couldn't retire when you asked me because if I did, they would have killed me… I had to take on many years as the boss before I can ever think of retiring. Telling you that part would have made you come running back to me and that's something I couldn't have. Time did slip by us, didn't it? I've read all the entries and that letter you sent a while back that you had someone over, made me want to send someone to kill him. I guess you can say that I could never move on, Beloved.”

“N-Neither could I…” Jungkook cried and right there, Jimin let out a chuckle and locked hands with his lover. “I love you, Jimin…. I've always had!”

“I've never thought of getting you out of my head even once… I love you, Doll. Kiss me, Jungkook…” Jimin whispered and with that, Jungkook smiled and leaned in to kiss his lover. They shared a lovely moment as their kisses was enough to exchange loving words after so long. Jimin smiled into the kiss as their tears rolled down each other's faces. Within seconds, Suyong opened the door with Jungkook's father opening the door for him. Making Jungkook pull his lips away and look back at Suyong's direction.

“PAPA!” Suyong rose his voice. Let out a happy squeal before jumping onto the bed to hug Jimin and avoiding his right injured arm.

“Papa?” Jimin asked sweetly as his raspy and teary voice cut off his own words.

“I told him to call you that no matter what.” Jungkook assured. Watching Jimin wipe his own tears and hug Suyong closely.

“Suyong is such a big boy now, aren't you?” Jimin asked as Suyong nodded his head.

“Suyong is a big boy! Suyong missed Papa too!” The younger child told Jimin as Jungkook's father stepped out to give them space. Right there, Jungkook felt Jimin's hand fix over his cheek to cup one side of his face carefully. This action alone left Suyong silent as he sat back on the bed to watch his two parents meet after so long. Knowing how bad his father Jungkook missed him, Suyong watched the two look into each other's eyes as their hearts finally began to beat after four years of being absent from each other's lives.

“Oh Jungkook… You're beautiful…” Jimin added once more as Jungkook pressed his forehead against his and kissed him again and again. Of course, Suyong didn't mind this as he dried his own tears to finally see his own parents show each other love. Something he has never witnessed the two do right in front of him.

“So you said your name is ‘Jeon Jimin' now… Jeon Jimin…. I like the sound of that.” Jungkook whispered. Repeating those very words he recited from Jimin's letter and switched it up to say towards his Jimin now. For Jimin, hearing those words were what made him dry another tear. Remembering that after his first video chat with Jungkook ever, he fell madly in love with the boy and said similar words like ‘Jeon Jungkook… I like the sound of that.’

Jimin didn't say anything else as he then continued to kiss Jungkook, holding the younger's chin in place. Through their kiss, they felt their hearts match with every beat, their breathing becoming shared and their love sewed together after the many heartbreaks they had to the road of a happily ever after. Something Jimin never expected to receive after doubting all the happiness in his life to only be rewarded with love from the only person he wanted to love every night and every waking hour. Inviting themselves into their own lives and each other's hearts after waiting an eternity.
