A women written in mystery is worth a curiosity trip -Unknown
A best friend is someone you share a truly special and unique bond. Someone who cares for you, accepts you for who you are, you, stands with you even when everyone else is walking away, and much more. -Unknown
With today being Melody's birthday Serenity wanted to make sure Melody will have a great time even if they planned on spending this grand time in a very fancy hotel. Their bags were packed and ready to hit the road. Serenity insisted on driving because the birthday girl is queen for the day.
"Serenity. You don't have to do that." Melody said trying to take the keys out of Serenity's hands in which she moved her hands behind her back guarding the keys like her life depended on it.
"No-can-do birthday girl. This is your special day and I am going to treat you like a queen even if you don't deserve it."
Melody knew she could not argue with that comment seeing as how it was true. Melody is a very rebellious girl that even her father has a hard time taming if she becomes out of control. Instead, she laughed getting into the passenger seat with Serenity starting the car. The ride to the Bellaire hotel only took about twenty-eight minutes thanks to no traffic. Finding parking was the hard part when the parking lot is packed like at the super bowl game. This took Serenity about ten minutes till they found an open spot.
"Jeez. This hotel is no joke. Now I'm excited to see what our room looks like."
"Melody. Once we get to our room what's the first thing we're going to do?"
"Serenity. That is the easiest question you could ever ask me." Melody said taking hold of her suitcase with Serenity by her side walking up to the main doors as they open nice cool air hits their faces. "We're going to explore this hotel!"
Exploring the hotel seemed like a really fun idea. It made Serenity think of those YouTube videos where the Youtubers would explore hotels and even some haunted ones. It was also a great distraction for Serenity to forget all about her sister and now ex. Melody just wanted her best friend to relax and just have a good time. Who knows, maybe Melody can hook her up with a good guy when the time is right.
"Before we explore the hotel, we should explore our room first."
Melody walked up to the front desk talking to the receptionist seeing if their room is ready. Watching the receptionist type away on her computer she smiled handing Melody a golden key card.

"The royal suite is ready for you." The receptionist said with a very cheery smile. However, Melody's face was pale that she could be mistaken for a ghost. The royal suite is extremely expensive and you would have to be a damn billionaire to have a suite like that.
"I'm sorry. There must be some mistake. I never asked to have the royal suite. I don't have the money to afford it." Melody explained to the receptionist in a panicked voice.
The woman just smiled. "Don't worry about that. This room is on us. That's all I can say."
Both Melody and Serenity were flabbergasted knowing they will be getting the royal suite for free. Was this a prank or a gift from the birthday gods? Whatever the reason was they still took it.
"Before you go." The receptionist began as she pointed to a very handsome looking man walking over to them. "Ladies this is Darren Bright and he will take you up to your room."
Darren greeted Serenity with a smile but as his eyes locked on to Melody he froze. It was as if Darren was in a small trance till Melody waved her hand.
"Hey, are you all right there?" Melody asked smiling at Darren.
Darren snapped out of his little trance adjusting himself. From the corner of Serenity's eyes, she could see the receptionist smirking at Darren liked how she knew of something. Darren coughed for the receptionist to get back to work getting his attention back on Melody and Serenity.
"If you will. Please follow me. I will take you up to the royal suite. It's to make sure you don't get lost. This hotel is big and we have had some reports of guests getting lost."
"So, does this mean you mister handsome will be our guide?" Melody said in a very flirtatious tone.
Darren gripped his fists making his knuckles turn white as he blushed looking away while Serenity slapped Melody on the shoulder to get her to stop. Upon making their way up to the royal suite Darren took his leave in a very fast manner.
"Melody I think scared him off."
"Oh, Serenity. Sweet, sweet Serenity." Melody began taking Serenity in for a bone-crushing hug. "He liked it, but he's working and must act professionally."
"I'm serious. You need to lay off the novels." Serenity said taking the golden key card from Melody's hand opening the door to their room. Melody and Serenity gasp as the doors open to reveal a lavish royal bed quarter. The two walked around, examining the golden bathed room, marveling at the beauty of it. Both girls split up, Melody making a beeline straight for the lavish king-sized bed, while Serenity sat on the golden throne, basking in the lavish room. A diamond-encrusted chandelier that twinkled under the light provided, giving the room a warm golden glow. The roof had been carved into a small dome and appeared to be made out of what seemed like golden marble, and the walls were covered in golden decor, matching the decor on both of the extravagant drawers. Serenity got up from her seat and walked over to the thick drapes and hesitantly reached her hand out to run across the soft silky fabric covered in delicate embroidery, just like the duvet that was draped over the wide bed.

"Hands down! This is the best thing to ever happen to me on my birthday!" Melody smiled feeling like she won a thousand bucks.
"I can't believe this is our room and we don't have to pay. I wonder who was nice enough to do this?" Serenity asked grabbing her bag placing on the bed to unpack.
"Who cares who it was! Let's just enjoy this wonderful moment."
"So, after we unpack you still want to wonder about the hotel? Or stay in and watch movies?"
"Serenity we are so wondering this hotel. Watching movies will be done at night but for now, let's roll."
Melody grabbed Serenity's hand leading her out the room so they could look around the fancy hotel. Everything that they saw online about the hotel was the same. Outside there was a huge pool with the water sparkling in the sunlight. Serenity wanted a better look at the pool so instead of being dragged my Melody, Melody was now being dragged by her.
"What? You planning on swimming now?"
"No. I just wanted a better look." Serenity said taking pictures of the pool with her smart-phone.
Melody noticed some girls staring at them with funny looks. It was not hard to tell what they were thinking. No matter where you are or where you go you will always be judged. One of the girls walked up to Melody and Serenity looking like she is ready to start some trouble. The girl had black hair and brown eyes she looks to be average in height for normal girls.
"Can I help you?" Melody asked the girl.
"Yes, you can. You both know you have to be a guest at this hotel to be here. Seeing as how you girls are acting this is no place for common people."
Serenity smiled putting her phone away. "What gives you the right to talk? You seem to be about the same age as us, but you're the one acting like a child coming over here to say this. Are you here because of your father's money or do you have a sugar daddy to back you up?"
This girl's face turned to a very dark shade of red that she could be mistaken as the red devil himself. Serenity prepared herself when she saw the girl take a step forward seeming like she was about to attack when out of nowhere a wave of water splashed down onto the girl making her lose balance and fall on her butt hard. Everyone at the pool was looking at their direction till Melody grabbed Serenity's hand running back into the hotel.
"What the hell just happen back their Melody? Where did that wave come from?" Serenity asked.
Melody breathed slow. "Who knows what happens. I'm just glad that it did happen. That girl was ready to fight you. Damn you were a savage to that girl."
Serenity huffed. "She asked for it. I don't like spoiled people who think they can say whatever the hell they want and try to get away with it."
"You have my respect girl."
Serenity raised a brow. "Haven't I always had your respect?"
"Yes. But it's even higher than it was before."
The two of them laughed before exploring the hotel some more before making their way back to their room. They found a note on the door. Melody grabbed it as she read it out.
"Dear guests. I am happy to let you know that you are invited to a dinner party held by Sean Bellaire the CEO himself. The dinner party will start at 6. Have a good day."
"What do you think Melody? Should we go?" Serenity asked.
"This could be fun. A dinner party before we spend the whole night watching scary movies until we pass out."
"You're such a child. Right now, it's 5:15. We need to start getting ready now."
The girls went into their room to get ready for the dinner party. Melody put on her short black dress with gold rose patterns at the bottom. The back of the dress revealed her back in an elegant way than some black heels. Serenity put on a nice short white dress that reached above her knees. White heels with a gold lining on the bottom.
"Serenity you look like a princess."
"Back at you Melody. You now look like an elegant woman. Your father will be so proud."
"Why be so rough on the birthday girl?" Melody faked cried.
"Tough love. Hey, I wonder if that guy you were hitting on then scared of will be at the dinner party too."
Melody smirked. "Oh, he will be there."
Serenity felt as if Melody knew something, she didn't. Come to think of it she knows but never said anything about how mysterious Melody can be sometimes. It got stranger just around the time when they both saw that video back at work when something covered the camera then wolf now gone.
"Let's get going Serenity."
"Right. Lead the way, birthday girl."
