The airship slowly descended into Beacons courtyard, the team hopped out and looked around.

"Where is everyone?" Asked Blake as she sniffed the air looking for a familiar scent.

"I don't know..." Y/n said as he stooped down and picked up Coco's scarf.

"Something feels off." Muttered Ruby as the team walked into the entrance hall of Beacon. The students should have been in class but all the rooms were empty.

The team split up to check the school grounds. Y/n was searching the back of the campus and the school's pool. He saw that the grounds were empty and turned away when he heard a strange gurgling sound from the pool.

He walked back and opened the small gate leading into the pool area. He peeked over the edge of the pool and immediately recoiled in shock. The pool was full of a strange substance, it looked slimy and black as ink. Y/n found the source of the gurgle as Jaune arc submerged himself in the pool.

"Hey Jaune, what the hell are you doing?"

Jaune re-emerged and gave Y/n a blank stare. He started twitching and convulsing while making strange noises with his mouth, the noise seemed to attract the attention of the other infected who emerged from the inky depths.

A sea of faces looked at Y/n, the whole school had been infected. Then, simultaneously, all the infected started screeching and clawed their way out of the pool, unsteadily wobbling toward Y/n

"Shittttttttt." Y/n said to himself as he sprinted to find the others.

One by one, he found the rest of his team as there were investigating the grounds and told them of the situation.

They all gave him the same shocked look. All their friends were practically zombies.

They all agreed that their next step was to get to Ozpin and tell him about the cure.

The only problem was the horde of infected following them, and they were getting faster.

They all sprinted toward the elevator that would take them to Ozpins office. Once they reached the elevator they were stopped by a girl in a red dress.

"I'm sorry, I can't let you pass."

"I assume your the one responsible for this outbreak."

"You're a fine guesser, I think you'll make a fine slave to."

"I already tried dating once, didn't work out."

"Interesting last words."

The girl summoned a sword made of glass and ran at the group, her attack was blocked by Yang.

"Go find Ozpin, I'll hold her off."

"No Yang yo-"

"That wasn't a suggestion."

Yang's hair turned a fiery red and Y/n pulled Blake towards the elevator as she tried to push him off her.

"We have to leave her."

Y/n dragged Blake to the elevator where Ruby was waiting.

As soon as they hopped in, Ruby slammed down the close door button and they all watched the doors close slowly as Yang battled Cinder while the infected raced towards her.

"She made a choice, we can't let her sacrifice be in vain."

Ruby and Blake both had tears in their eyes as they watched Yang be swallowed by a horde of infected.

The elevator slowly opened into Ozpins office and the students walked out.

"Sir, are you there?" Y/n asked as he looked at Ozpins desk, the chair at the desk slowly turned around to reveal Ozpin, slowly clapping.

"You have done well, now tell me, what is the cure."

"Its... are you alright sir?"

Y/n spotted Ozpins pale white skin and black veins in the moonlight.

"I'm fine. Now, what is the cure!"

Ozpin was yelling now as he seemed frustrated with the knowledge being withheld from him.

"Sir," Y/n said while drawing his sword.

"I think you've been infected."

"Nonsense, now what is the damn cure!"

"Sir, I can't have that information fall into the wrong hands."

"Damn you!" Ozpin said while jumping out of his seat and drawing his cane.

Y/n gritted his teeth and teleported behind Ozpin. He grabbed Ozpins shoulder and teleported both of them to Beacons entrance. Y/n let go of the headmaster and teleported back to the office, stranding Ozpin.

Y/n hunched over panting, tired from the effort.

Ruby and Blake rushed up to Y/n to see if he was okay. He slowly stood up.

"It's up to us now to save Beacon and maybe all of remnant."

"But without anyone else, how can we?"

"We have each other."

The three walked over to the window in Ozpins office that overlooked the entirety of Beacon.

"If this spreads then all the huntsman who have ever fought and died will have sacrificed in vain. The Grimm could take over Remnant."

The trio went back to the elevator and clicked on the button for the science level, the laboratory was said to have what they needed for the cure. The elevator slowly descended and the three spotted infected students wandering around aimlessly. They finally arrived on the floor for the science classrooms, they slowly and methodically made their way to the laboratory.

When they were a few classrooms away they heard the sounds of fighting and walked around a corner to see Yatsuhashi fighting off his team.

"I could use some help."

"That wasn't a suggestion!" Yang yelled and charged at Cinder with her hair ablaze.

Yang went for a direct punch on Cinders jaw but was easily blocked by Cinders sword.

"How noble, sacrificing yourself."

Cinder swiped at Yang who barely dodged the swift attack.

"How foolish too."

Yang tried to punch Cinder again but her arm was held back by an infected Nora.

"You can't save your friends."

Pyrrha grabbed Yang's other arm.

"And you certainly can't save yourself."

Yang struggled against the infected students holding her down.

She kicked Nora's leg out and freed her arm then punched Pyrrha in the face, freeing both arms.

"You're a feisty one."

Yang went into a savage fury and tried to bury Cinder under a sea of punches.

Cinder proved quicker and easily dodged all of Yangs punches.

Yang let out a scream of pure frustration as her strength proved useless against Cinder.

Cinder decided to go on the offensive and started stabbing, thrusting and slashing at Yang who tried to block the attacks but was too slow.

Cinder eventually knocked Yang to her knees and had all of team JNPR hold her down.

"Bravery always gets people killed, I learnt that lesson a long time ago, if only you'd learnt that too."

Cinder put her palm on Yang's head and a worm wiggled out and landed on Yang's head.

Yang tried moving her head but the worm held on tight and crawled down to Yang's eye and slowly past the eyeball and into the back of her head.

Yang screamed as she felt the worm in her skull, making its way to her brain.

Team JNPR let her go and she flopped across the ground like a marooned fish.

She slowly stood up and her hair and temper returned to normal.

"I am prepared to serve."
