《Conversations with a ghost (Ghostface x reader)》Chapter 2

The next day you rushed out of your house.
you didn't want to be late again and risk the chance of getting yelled at by your boss
Your little suggestion about dinner to Jed was surprisingly a success
He agreed he laughed a bit at your boldness but he agreed right?
You laughed a bit to yourself as the scene replayed in your head
Small flashback
"How about dinner?" You asked nervously, it took a lot of courage to ask such a thing even if it wasn't meant in a romantic way.
He chuckled at your request, obviously noticing your nervousness.
"sure how does tomorrow after work sound?" He smiled
"That sounds great."
End of flashback
You never had the confidence to ask someone to dinner before but he gave you an opportunity and you took it
Plus he seemed nice and since you will be partners might as well get to know each other a little right?
When you arrived at the gazette it was not as busy as usual which was odd
"Hey y/n" Amira greeted as she walked up to you
Amira was your first friend when you started working for the Roseville Gazette.
she was supposed to be your partner with the Ghostface murders but she decided that she didn't have the stomach for it.
"So did you hear about your new partner?" She asked
"Yeah Jed?"
" so that's his name, well he's quite the charmer he's already made good friends with the boss and Blake over there" she pointed at Blake who was the boss's assistant
Blake had jet black hair and brown eyes but she was quite pretty and very good at writing papers and all that
she would often help people who were struggling with ideas for news and such.

You didn't see why Daniel (your boss) needed a personal Assistant but rumors had it they were sleeping together, But You didn't care.
You mostly just stuck to yourself which caused most people working at the gazette not to know you personally,
they only knew you from your articles on Ghostface.
He made you famous in a way but you also made him famous.
"Helloooo earth to y/n?"
"Y/n?"
"Y/N!"
"Huh what?" you blinked a few times but now Jed was standing there with Amira looking at you
You felt your face heat up with embarrassment and looked the other way
"Sorry I got lost in thought there" you sighed
Jed chuckled
"Thought we lost you for a second there"
Amira spoke
Well I should get going I have a paper to write see you guys around" amira left you and Jed standing there
"Your still a little bit red by the way" Jed chuckled as he gave a small smile
This made you even more embarrassed than before so you turned your head to the side again
"You're so annoying"
"Whatever you say, anyways Daniel gave us files to sort so cmon." he laughed as he walked to your shared office
"So what Amira said was true then huh" You smirked as you walked with him
"Hm, What did she say?" He said as he opened the office door and let you in first
"Damn I forgot to grab the flies from bosses room I'll be right back sweetheart,"
Jed said as he walked back out
You smiled to yourself Jed was sweet, you two would get along great.
You sat down on a chair near the window and looked out
You got lost in thought for a minute that you didn't hear Jed walk back into the office

He admired you for a bit
He still couldn't understand it, what about you drew him in
He didn't know, but he knew he wanted to kill you, at least at first he did.
He would keep you alive until he found out
Why he liked you so much
After he finished thinking He slowly walked up to you and bent down towards your ear
You still had your head turned to the window
Y/n? He softly whispered in your ear
You immediately got chills all over your body
You turned your head to the side only to be met with Jed's face Inches away from yours.
"Jed? When did you-"
He moved away from your face as he stood up straight and turned his back on you
"I got the flies we should start working now."
