(Y/n) Williams was a pretty normal college student.

She majored in (what you want/ already are majoring in).

She was a good student (if you're not, just pretend).

She was pretty, she had (h/c) (h/type) (h/c) hair and large (e/c) eyes that complemented the (f/c) hoodie she always wore around campus.

Many guys tried to get her to date them, none of them wanted her for love. Most just wanted to copy her homework. That being said, (Y/n) rejected them.

Anyways, back to the present, (Y/n) had acquired some money from her parents, who said she needed to "loosen up" and "have fun".

So that's why (Y/n) was sitting on her bed, scrolling through various things online that caught her interest.

Suddenly, she found something that really grabbed her attention.

"Nekos? Aren't those animals from a manga or something?" She clicked on the website, scanning over the website's back story and finally getting to the adoption portion.

She smiled looking at all the pictures of nekos curled up with humans or playing with toys.

These pictures melted (Y/n)'s heart.

"That settles it, I'm getting a neko tomorrow!"

(next morning at the adoption center)

(Y/n) cooed, looking at the various nekos from all over the world. They were all so adorable! How could she pick just one?

She saw one sitting sadly alone in it's cage, watching all the other nekos play together.

(Y/n)'s heart shattered. She went over to the lonely neko.

He was beautiful, he had wavy dirty blond hair and big indigo eyes framed with crimson glasses. A strange curl stuck out from the side of his head, (Y/n) made a mental note not to touch it ((Y/n)'s roommate, Peridot had a cat with a cowlick similar to this, let's just say that when (Y/n) touched it on accident, it didn't end well). He also had a VERY fluffy looking tail and ears.

"Hey." She said softly to the neko.

He jumped in surprise, he turned to her, his indigo eyes wide. "Y-you can see me?" He whispered in shock.

"Of course I can. Should I not be able to?"

His head drooped. "No one sees me."

That was it. This was too sad and he was too adorable. (Y/n) wouldn't let this stand.

"What's your name?" She asked him gently.

"Matthew..."

(Y/n) smiled. "Well, now you're Matthew Williams!" She declared. She t5hen called over an employee and filled in the paperwork she needed to adopt Matthew.

Matthew's eyes filled with tears. "Thank you!" He whisper-cried.

(Y/n) smiled, watching as the employee took Matthew out of the cage.

She grabbed his hand, making him blush. "Now let's go home!"
