《Solangelo oneshots》I speak Italian

Today was the day. Today I was going to meet will's mother and older sister. Will and I had been dating for 3 months now and I had promised him that I would go with him to meet his mother for Christmas.
On my insist, Will had left camp two days ago, and travelled by train to his hometown. I would shadow-travel there, so he would feel comfortable travelling.
I knocked on the door. I had off course been polite enough not to shadow-travel into the living room. After waiting a minute or so, the door was opened to reveal a tall, blonde girl. She looked like a female version of Will. "Hey, I'm Clary, you must be Nico come in, it's cold outside." as soon as I entered, she pulled me into a warm hug.
I took a quick step back, surprised by the hospitality, and physical contact.
"Clary, don't hug Nico. He isn't the hug type of person." She rolled her eyes at Will's voice coming from what I presumed was the living room. "Oops, too late for that now." Will audibly groaned.
Clary led me into the living room, and my boyfriend jumped on me. "Nico, no shadow-travelling for two days, you're paler then when I left." Will pulled me into a bone crushing hug and kissed my hair.
From the kitchen came a woman, tall with the same blonde hair as both Will and Clary, and a boy around 25 with olive skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
"Hey Nico, nice to meet you!" the woman smiled softly at me. "Hey Ms. Solace. Nice to meet you too. Will talks a lot about you."
"Please call me Naomi. And was Will bragging again. I'm not that good at making cookies." I nobbed politely and Will huffed in disagreement. Then the dark haired boy opened his mouth. "Hello, I'm Alexandro, Clary's boyfriend." His English was laced with a strong Italian accent and he said his 'I's as 'ee'.

"Dinner will be ready in 5 minutes. You guys can catch meanwhile. I'm making Ravioli." Will's mother left the room to finish cooking. My mouth started watering at the word Ravioli.
Alexandro snapped me out of my thoughts. "Nico, where are you from?" I looked at Will questioningly, and he answered my unspoken question. "He knows about Demigods. He's a Roman legacy." I turned back to Alexandro and started talking:
"I grew up near New York with my sister. I was found by Demigods and brought to camp Halfblood. I'm a son of Hades. Although I grew up here, I'm originally from..." "Dinner!"
Will led me to the table, and we sat down. I ate my meal in silent awe, enjoying the excellent Ravioli, and listing to my boyfriend while he chatted with his mother and sister.
We were about halfway through dinner when one sentence caught my ear: "Non posso aspettare fino a quando siamo soli stasera, angelo.*"
And: "Sto indossando questo per voi.**"
I choked on my food. I started coughing and spat out my food. "Neeks, are you alright?" Will leaned towards me, clearly worried.
"I speak Italian." I directed my words to Alexandro and Clary. They looked mortified.
"You're Italian?!" "Yes, my last name is Di Angelo."
Will and Naomi were looking back and forth between us, utter confusion written on their faces. "What's going on here?" Will asked. "Will, your sister and Alexandro just discussed their night in Italian. Not something I'd want to hear, personally."
Clary's face was flushed and Alexandro looked at his feet, mute with embarrassment.
Suddenly Naomi burst out laughing. I started laughing too, suddenly seeing the fun in it. Will followed suit and eventually even Clary and Alexandro joined in.

-Three days later-
When we left, going back to camp by train, (on Will's insist, because "you exhausted yourself too much for more underworld-y stuff) I said one thig to Alexandro, trying to embarrass him: "Usare sempre una protezione.***"
But he retorted that quickly: "Anche tu. L'ho sentito, sai ****" I blushed and pulled Will away, towards the train station.
"What's wrong Deathboy? Why are you so flustered? What did he say?"
"He heard us last night Will!!"

Runicka: Tournament of Monsters (A GameLit Card Game Fantasy)
The runes are changing, and with it, the game itself changes. Taygion Ardwella finds himself stranded, alone, and on the run from some very determined guards who claim Tay's stolen from them. They're right, but that shouldn't mean Tay has to give back what he took. He's only been in Stormwall for a week and already, he's earning the ire of the most powerful and notorious House that controls the city's underground. And when their scion challenges Tay to a duel of cards, Tay will find himself thrust into a game of sorcery and strategy as he attempts to both find a way out of this mess and find his own way in the world. To do both, he'll need to learn to accept guidance and coaching where it's sorely needed, craft a deck of unimaginable power, and not die whenever his opponents try and cheat him out of a hard-earn victory. But not all is as it seems in the shadows of Stormwall, and if Tay can figure out the importance of what it is he's stolen, he may just have a chance at saving the game of Runicka. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Runicka: Tournament of Monsters is a high fantasy, card game-based adventure novel with enough magic, worldbuilding, and characters to fill a Sanderson series. I would consider it a part of the GameLit subgenre. This series in particular is not an isekai, and will start and end in a high fantasy setting complete with its own lore and backstory. It is a progression fantasy, and I am writing it inspired by all the Yu-Gi-Oh mangas/animes, and all the hours I've invested/wasted (depending on who you ask) playing TCGs like Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a work in progress. In your journey through Stormwall alongside Tay, you'll probably find typos, grammatical errors, and maybe a confusing sentence every once in a while (although I hope to keep these to a minimum). That said, comments and suggestions on where I can improve are not only encouraged but greatly appreciated. And finally, expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**Currently on a small hiatus. I have a bit of a workplace crisis going on. I'm still writing, but I don't have time to polish and publish. Chapters will return on a regular basis soon though!!**
