《Show Me The Stars (Anakin x Reader)》Chapter 3

I woke in the middle of the night. The full moon was shining through my window, casting light in the corner where Anakin was. He was sound asleep. So much for watching me the whole night. I decided that this was the only amount of alone time I could get before we left Naboo. I didn't want to leave. Naboo was my home, I felt safe here. I hopped out of bed, not bothering to put on a cloak since it was summer, and walked to my balcony. There were no more doors to it since they were smashed. The cool midnight breeze pulled my (h/c) hair behind by ears, and the crickets chirped slowly as if to be sad that I'm leaving. I don't know if I will ever be back. What will happen to our beach? What will happen to the bakery where I go once a week to get a jelly doughnut? What will happen to my roses? All of these questions arose in my mind as I stared blankly at the lake below me. The gentle waves crashed lightly on the sand. Oh how great it would be to be a wave. No responsibilities. No worries. No assassins. Just getting to roll in the water, and gently crash onto the soft sand. I would miss the sand. How it tickled me in between my toes. Or how Padme and I would make sand castles in the summer. But that was when we were kids. We didn't have to worry about important decisions. We didn't have to be worried about anyone noticing us. I didn't have to be worried about never doing anything with my life. I realized I was hanging over the balconies edge a little to much. I quickly backed off of it. The silk of my nightgown brushed up against my legs, sending chills down my spine. It was cold. I went back to my bed and laid under the covers looking at Anakin. He was still asleep. I could see the drool starting to come out of his mouth when his eyes fluttered open.

"Were you staring at me?" He asked raising an eyebrow. Crap
"No. I just woke up in that direction." I declared, turning away from him. I could still feel him staring at me. It sent icy chills throughout my body
"By the way. You drool when you sleep." I stated, my back to him. I heard him laugh and scoff at me.
"No I don't. And I would highly suggest you go back to sleep, Princess (y/n), you have a big day tomorrow." He said from behind me.
"Don't call me that." I stated. Saying princess just made me feel like an item of the republic. I hated it.
"Okay Milady." He said chuckling.
"That makes it worse!" I said glancing back. I could see his blue eyes looking at me, and those perfect teeth shining in the moonlight. Wait, shut up (y/n), he's your protector. Plus he called you princess. And with that I fell back asleep.
Morning
I woke up to Anakin not in the room. The maids have already packed for me so there is nothing for me to do. I threw on a white dress with fancy straps. I let my hair flow down my back. I walked down the stairs. Everyone was already sitting down at the table and eating. They didn't notice me walk by. I walked out to my garden. The beautiful Naboo air filling my lungs. The morning was beautiful... Not a cloud in the sky. I cut from the pavement and walked through the he grass. The ground was soft in between my bare toes. My roses were perfect. The yellow was shining in the bright sunlight. My toes were digging in the dirt. My mother would most likely make me cut them since the dirt will ruin my nails-so she says. This might be the last time I water my flowers. I decided to pick a few, and I made a flower crown. It fit perfectly on my head.

"Darling! It's time to leave!" I heard my mother calling from inside. I walked in and she looked down at my feet.
"(Y/n), you must put on shoes." She said, very demanding. I sighed, and threw on my lacy flats. My bags were carried downstairs, and I kissed my parents good bye. Before I let go from hugging my father, I whispered in his ear.
"Please have someone take care of my garden. Don't let my roses die." I said. He nodded. I let go and turned around to see Anakin staring at me.
"Why are you staring at me?" I asked.
"I wasn't." He said, quickly looking away.
"Sure..." I sighed and walked to the ship. The ship let off, and we were off to Corusant.
